What are some of the best " free from Sony library " movies to keep with the credits?
I picked up the new Venom/Columbiana and Bad Boys 2.
I'm trying to find good action/sci fi movies in 4k! Any suggestions from what some of you picked?
Support Post Guidelines
Prior to posting any submission to this subreddit please ensure you've read the rules for submissions in the sidebar of the /r/bravia homepage.
Users posting submissions seeking support should include as much detail as possible about their BRAVIA TV and any connected hardware related to the issue in order to get the best responses. This includes but is not limited to the model of the TV, the software and/or firmware version and the make and model of any external devices. Pictures or video can be helpful when trying to describe a video or audio issue.
Submissions not directly related to an issue with a BRAVIA TV and/or low effort posts that do not include any helpful details that would allow others to diagnose the issue will be removed. This includes, but is not limited to, submissions asking for support directly related to a connected device (ie. soundbar, console, PC, media player, etc.) but not the TV itself.
Firmware related topics (ie. issues, announcements, support) must be discussed in the Sony BRAVIA Firmware Discussion Megathread 2.0. Panel quality/lottery posts (ie. DSE, banding, flashlighting, etc.) must be discussed in the BRAVIA Panel/Screen Quality Discussion Megathread 2.0.
Users should also check the /r/bravia Wiki, current moderator pinned topics and the Frequently Asked Questions thread for some solutions to common A/V issues and more.

Do you mean the free movie from Sony rewards when you register purchases? I have like, three or four free movies and I can't figure out how to redeem them.
Apps - bravia core - register with that app - gain the credits and free sony streaming for 12 months.
Oh, cool. Thanks!

Leaving this in-case you did not find it!
I would only purchase those movies available in 4K, almost any of the others can be had in 1080p on other streaming services for the same price.
And then you don’t lose them, fingers crossed.
You keep redeemed Bravia Core movies until February 2026
Which is losing them.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is available in 4K. I suspect Spider-Man No Way Home will be available in the new year. That's definitely something I'll spend a credit on.
The one problem I'm finding is that the movies available in Bravia Core are also freely available on other services in 4K (e.g., Prime - Bloodshot, Monster Hunter) -- though obviously not at the same bitrate of the PureStream.
I think over 80% of the movies listed in the Bravia Corps redeemable movie section show in the top under the title that they are 4K UHD DTS etc. And yes no way home is available and I picked it up.
Are the movies that are available to be claimed are the same movies available on the streaming service?
I went over the whole thing last night and it looks like there's about 30 to 40% decent movies in in all genres. Being the action / sci-fi guy that I am I primarily picked up those types of movies that would I think showcase 4K better than something then let's say like the movie Love actually.
They expire in 2026 either way, right? More of a long term rental than getting it forever. I wouldn’t sweat it too much since you’ll lose it anyway.
You mean Far from Home? I did not see No way home and I thought it was to come next year.
While the content of the movies and resolution might be the same as what's on other streaming services, the Bravia Core movies that are available in PureStream are definitely in much higher bitrate (approaching BluRay bitrate). I've looked at my firewall's incoming data when watching, for example, Chappie or The Dark Crystal, and it easily goes over 100mbps with BraviaCore. Watching a similar movie in 4K on Netflix/Prime/iTunes usually does not go much over 60 mbps.
Whether I am enlightened enough to notice the difference between a movie streaming at 110mbps vs 60mbps is an entirely different question.
Yeah, the whole selling point of Bravia Core is that they’re supposed to be at a “lossless” bitrate (which is complete BS, I’m quite sure it’s not lossless video) which is higher than any other streaming service. I just wish they would have taken a larger chunk of that bitrate to use for the audio, as the audio quality is relatively awful in my opinion. I’d probably choose Netflix over Bravia Core just for the audio quality, and Netflix isn’t even anywhere near the best for audio quality.
Makes me wonder if I have a setting wrong somewhere, but I don’t see any way to get anything more than DTS 5.1, which is a lossy audio format from the DVD era.
Picked up Baby Driver from there
As did I, and the audio is 5.1. Whereas the Vudu copy is atmos.
2012
I hate the interact so I went through and made a note of all the movies I was interested in watching on BraviaCore (this isn't including the 3 I've watched already, Venom, Crouching Tiger, & The Quick and the Dead)
4k Hellboy Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Boyz in the hood Baby driver 5th element Gattaca Close encounters Lawrence of arabia Hotel Transylvania Spider verse Chappie 22 jump street
HD Social network This is the end Attack the block Drive Moneyball Black dynamite Walk hard Southland tales Johnny mnemonic
Streaming Squid and the whale Anacondas Baby boy Ali Replacement killers
5 credits total and they are only redeemable in the certain section of redeemable movies.
Click on the home screen and at the very top you'll see sections of movies music and you'll also see apps. Click on that and go down and you should see if you scroll over to the right something called Bravia core.
Once you see that click on it and it will ask you to register once you're finished the registration you will be able to redeem the credits for both the movies and streaming service.
I bought a 65” A80j this month in India and it didn’t come with Bravia core app. Also searched on play store in TV but not available there either. Not sure why, also can’t find suitable apk to side load
Why not wait. U have a year
Amazing Spider-Man and Ghostbusters!
The new or old Spider-Man?
The Amazing Spider-Man is the one with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
Monster Hunter
how many credits you got? each movie is like one credit.
I got 5 credit with recent Sony X91j purchase and only redeemed one so far....
I was offered 200 Bravia point but only see 5 credit in bravia core
Bravia Core/Corps? I don’t see that app anywhere on my system. Android based. Am I missing something somewhere?
Here is a picture of what I mean:

Ah, researching that, only available on “XR” tv’s. Which are apparently not last year’s models :-( X90H
This isn’t available in Australia correct?
Based on what someone said earlier I think this is only available in the XR models. So I think anything before 2021 may not be eligible for it.
If you have a Sony TV with the XR core you should be eligible no matter what country.
Check in the apps for Bravia core and just register it and you should qualify.
I have X90J which has the Xr processor. I’ll double check my apps but I’m sure I didn’t see any Bravia Core
From their Terms and Conditions page:

Sad. Australia always excluded in promos like these.
