I realize some are less sensitive to those frame drops and don't care about it, but for me is really annoying. No tv has ever had an issue like this, even the crappiest tv on the market guarantees flawless 60hz update. It's unbearable.
I feel you bro for that 60 fps stutters on game mode. Amen for that proof. At first I even thought that Forza Horizon was not stable then tried every games I own on ps5/xbox so yeah it's not the game or cables. Haven't seen that in the past but can't pinpoint a firmware in particular

Something to clarify though, some people are not sensible to those stutter and even my girlfriend can't see the difference between 30 and 60 fps. So yeahh i would really like to be on this side.

The fact is the motion of this TV should be flawless at any framerate/signal.

Maybe the LG C1 is the answer for you if you are not afraid of burn in. Don't hear of many problems with it from users.
Prices here in Denmark have gone down on it a bit the last couple of months.
I didn't update the VRR firmware with Android 10. So I'm happy with the TV so far. An OLED is out of the question for me after my wife finished off the last one through her usage habits. I insisted on not pausing anything she was watching for hours and instead switching it off. Did not work.

Just wondering what about all the people who played the J firmware on their H. This is based on Android 10. Do they have the same problems with stutter at 23.976fps?

What surprised me is that the X90J had an ugly problem with stuttering at 60hz / 120hz in game mode and after this was reported, Sony quickly submitted an update. Why is Sony ignoring it on the XH90? Every rooster crows it from the roofs for over 2 months.

But are you referring to gameplay stutter or media streaming stutter on console apps? I‘m on the same software and don’t get stuttering on my PS5/Xbox Series X during gameplay.
I'm referring to gameplay stutter since this is where i first saw it

Then I did a YouTube 60 fps stutter/judder test on the internal, ps5 and Xbox
Internal app: no problem
Ps5: some stuttering once in a while
Xbox: Stutters every seconds and more, its unbearable

Could be app related on those console but with all their processing power, its should be more than flawless

I dont see any stuttering at all on mine. I'd try different cables or something. I have my PS5 running thru Denon AVR4700 break-out box that fixes hdmi issues, and then to the receiver. Still no stutter and no lag in games. I've tried Astro's playhouse, and other 60fps games. Doesn't stutter at all.

I even made a video with the new The Matrix Awakens Unreal Engine 5 demo, using PS5 ShareFactory, and it is smooth. No stutter.

Lol that demo's framerate is so low it is in a constant state of stutter :ROFLMAO:
I can see the stutter in that Astro's Playroom video but it is extremely subtle and inconsistent, it could really be the game's frame timing itself. I don't have it installed anymore, but I do have several 60fps games and none of them show anything that could be the display stuttering like it does with 23fps videos. I also went to ufotest.com on my PC and didn't see any stuttering either, and that is pretty much the pinnacle testing site for display stuttering.

Go look at the video I posted. No stutter when I created all my camera movements for the video. The last scene I'm flying thru the city fast and still no stutter.

Honestly switching from my X900H to the C1 gave me such a sigh of relief. This TV was a complete flop with false promises and bugs. I feel sorry for anyone who bought it on the BF sale and are stuck with it.

I have made a video that shows the stuttering issue:

Very interesting. I can see it.

Now just imagine trying to get a typical Sony support agent to understand anything of the sort.

Hm so all of you with the stutter problem you have 55 or 65 inch. I have 75 inch an no problem is there a pattern?
To the guy with C1 I have friend with that tv he olso have C9. He was a mounth a gp at my house and saw netflix and some movies from Nvidia shield pro .He was so imprest with smoothnes of meterial that he wants that on his tv.I use use smoothnes 2 and clearnes on 1. So last weekend i went to his place and we play with bouth TVs.
You can NOT achive that kinde of smooth level on C1 or C9 with good picture!
If you do ,you will get so many artefacts in the picture that is unwacheble. You will get artifacts even in subtiles when there is fast moving scene. So BIG NO for me and any LG tv.This is another thing that Youtubers and false TV gods reviwers dont tell you abot LG oleds.

SONY Support Agent: "The TV is working as designed"
I can see the stuttering as well, the TV seem to be running at 59.94Hz when it's at 60Hz, this also happens on PC as well & does not matter if I use 60Hz or 59.94Hz the problem still there until I switch to 100Hz or 120Hz the problem goes away but cost of image quality.

Sorry but that is quite funny. :)

I think the reason is the MediaTek SoC is just a real headache to program for and to get everything running within the power of the processor. Having a co-processor to offload to might make everything "fit" better.
Really wish companies like Sony would test crap like that before they bought in bulk and then offloads it on the customers even though it isn't working as intended.

Oh and ofc. them insisting on installing crap like Samba on the TV.

Or maybe the X90J's problem was just a misspelling in the code or something.. It's sadly hard to tell. :(
But yeah, they should fix crap like that when it shows up between firmwares, shouldn't be that hard to find out what they changed.

The frame stutters were becoming so prevalent on every app, every source, that I just decided to try a factory reset. Weirdest thing right off the bat, the android interface has reverted to the previous visual style - with the circles on the left for App, recommendations per app, etc. Initial tests are looking like the stutter might not be appearing? I’m gonna have to spend some time watching some stuff to know for sure though. But I had it bad. Like the extent that I had straight up flash frames and stuff appearing on everything.

The videos made with the ps5 factory do not show the issue because it is recorded internally from the ps5. It is a tv problem so it is only visible on the screen

It really is inconsistent, I thought it was the console at first, but every game does it. Plus, on another tv it does not happen

Boh a this point I'm glad that mine doesn't do anything or I don't see anything, I don't know XD
In any case I will swap it for a G1 as soon as possible
when all works fine it's a very good tv. but the key word is "WHEN"

I can see the stutter in that astro video, I'm going to have to try it myself now, will do it later and report back. I have to be honest I noticed the 23fps bug a few days ago, was watching Lost in space on Netflix and the scene changed but for a split second, the previous scene flashed on the screen, like it quickly jumped back then straight back to the new bit where it should be. If that keeps happening I won't be happy.

The newer interface will come back after a period of time as it's just a theme change.

I checked and noticed it in Tales of Arise, Miles Morales & Astro. It doesn't happen on Samsung TV or XH90 cinema mode, but there is a stutter in game mode definitely. It's not very noticeable, but while playing Tales of Arise first time I noticed something is off because there were these stutters while running around. Kind of frame pacing issue, not fps drop. It may be related to Mediatek Android 10 issue. I wish I didn't notice, but when you see it, it's hard to unsee it unfortunately.
