We visited this hotel, during our roadtrip to Norway, just for one night. I can't say we were satisfied with our accommodation, since the rooms were extremely small, looking old, the window wasn't closing and the beds were too tiny. There was a nice bar room though, reminding of the Vikings era. Nothing special

We loved the view of this hotel and the interesting interior. Our bus tour stopped here for the night. We were amazed at the location, staff was exceptional and friendly, and the food was excellent for dinner and breakfast. But . . . after reading reviews and viewing pictures I was shocked to see a clean but broken bathroom where the soap dispenser fell off the wall, the toilet seat fell off the hinges and we felt very uncomfortable. The room was subpar and I was upset with Trafalgar not taking care of the room issue. The excuse from the hotel is that it’s sold- what good
does that do for guests now?

The hotel is located on the fjord and the views are amazing. The decor in the public areas has lots of wood and is authentic to the area. The restaurant food was good. Our room was poor, a 2 star at best. It had stains, loose electrical outlets, uncomfortable beds, no hair dryer, fridge or safe. I do not like to be negative however this is a fair assessment.

As the title says. No pleasing some. The hotel prices are what you'd expect to pay on a bus tour... 😂 I know. I drove these type of tours throughout Europe, Ireland and the UK. Believe you me, I've had to stay in some rank rotten hotels. This hotel is certainly not really the worst. The staff and surroundings are wonderful and as for the comment regarding cash machines, bring money with you.

Hotel location excellent with stunning views, room spacious and well appointed.on the fjord. Clean room and Helpful staff. The room are medium sized and decorated in fresh and attractive Scandinavian style with breathtaking views. The Sognfjord hotel enjoys a picturesque location on a small peninsula on the northern shore of the magnificent Sognfjord surrounded by beautiful views

My wife and I stopped here for one night, 17th May on a Trafalgar Tour, the scenery is nice, and a short walk away was a beautiful old church. The hotel was clean, quite and comfortable, Trafalgar hit the spot again.

Hotel is on the road with heavy traffic and you have a chance to receive room facing the road, just several meters from it. In this case no fjord view and lot of noise. In addition to traffic some staddy, not loud but irritating noise perhaps from kitchen vent. In this part of building no elevator and you have to carry luggage upstairs yourself. Furniture old and squisy.

Our first impression driving up was not so good. It does look dated and I was a little worried. The reception begins a tour of the museum/hotel and I thought was a little quirky, but the people were incredibly kind and informative. Rooms very dated, but comfortable and clean. Tea making facilities, excellent wifi and comfortable beds. We did sleep with the windows open because it was stuffy, but that just made it better.
Views and grounds are wonderful. The hotel has some very interesting history and worth just touring around all of the little rooms. Meals were excellent and service wonderful. So, first impressions can be wrong. We loved this place.

We are travelling through Norway and even though we are on a guided tour, the hotels sometimes are better than others. The hotel is small, and family owned and run. The atmosphere is cosy and the decor is rather quaint, but in a very interesting way. There are lovely little snug ares where guests can just sit, and the bar features a large ingle nook style fire place. There is wifi available for guests convenience. The food so far is great, breakfast still to be experienced, but if it is half as good as dinner, we will not be disappointed.

While the hotel does not have all the modern bells and whistles, it had character and charm which I loved. It was very comfortable and the room was spacious. But you don't or shouldn't spend your time in the room - go out and explore the stunning location.
