      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Snowpiercer takes a different route with its source material, crafting an ambitious sci-fi mystery with style to spare, but with little of the subversive bite of Bong Joon-ho's theatrical adaptation.

Valerie W I absolutely enjoy the show. Still on season 1 and I love every second of it. Bit that damn main actor …. He is so bad… such a poor performance :( I don't know whose relative he is , but he seems to be the worst actor in the cast. The rest are amazing Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/29/23 Full Review Bruno T After watching the movie, i started this series and, well it is a new perspective, with more info, and i really liked the antagonist, even more than the protagonist, give it a chance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/11/23 Full Review Tristan C A little slow to start but stick with it and you'll be taken for a ride. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/22/23 Full Review Adrian M This was very good. I liked it. It was much better than the original movie, with so much going on. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/08/23 Full Review Gareth v A rather disappointing series. Daveed Diggs is so wooden and difficult to watch in the lead role. Just a bloated and convoluted mess at times but the elements are there for something decent though. Hopefully in the 2nd season. Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya AV Club The most enthralling part of this show so far is absolutely the world building. The more we learn about the train, its factions, its underbelly, the more immersive it becomes. Rated: A- Jun 17, 2020 Full Review Eric Deggans NPR What works here is the way "Snowpiercer" the series expands on the science-fiction fueled dystopia of the film Jun 17, 2020 Full Review Lucy Mangan Guardian Exposition barrels along faster than the train itself ("Just making a quick stop at Gun on the Mantelpiece Station!"). In short, it's perfect. Sit back, relax and take in the trash. Rated: 3/5 May 26, 2020 Full Review Beth Webb NME (New Musical Express) Bong Joon-ho's steampunk classic turns to a noirish detective drama with a dynamite Jennifer Connelly. Rated: 4/5 Jul 9, 2021 Full Review Rick Bentley KGET-TV (Bakersfield, CA) It is a series that is as thought provoking as it is entertaining. Rated: 3/4 Feb 12, 2021 Full Review Kevin Carr Fat Guys at the Movies It's not a house of cards, but it's maybe a house of cards with a really good shellac job. But it still will collapse at some point. Rated: 3/4 Feb 4, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
