      "Being With You" was my introduction to Smokey Robinson, and it sounds as fresh today as it did over 40 years ago. The rest of this album is solid, if at times perfunctory, contemporary R&B, with Smokey in fine voice. This pressing sounds fine for the most part, but there were 2-3 instances of vocal sibilance. My copy plays nice and clean, with occasional faint surface noise.

        Album Revolution #11:

        By this time, when I was a Kid (and didn't know any better), and "Smokey Robinson's", "Being With You" was released, I was completely shocked that it became a MASSIVE, MASSIVE, MONSTER, MONSTER #1 Hit!!!!!!!

        You have to think about the circumstance though....In my head (remember I was 10), "Smokey" was 40, so to me he was OLD, and OLD FOLKS wasn't supposed to be Popular at that time (Now I know how it feels being in my 50's!!!!)....

        Fast forward 2022, not only do I understand WHY he was Popular then, but why he is STILL Popular...

        "Being With You" is a good time feeling type album...

        Songs like: "Food For Thought", "Can't Fight Love" and "You Are Forever", makes this album an enjoyable listen....

        The album caps off with the very enjoyable "I Hear The Children Singing", it is a statement of a song....

        All in all, if you think about it, this is the 3rd phase of "Smokey's' career.....There would be ups and downs, but at the same time he was able to continue on...
