Dabuz releases 'well-designed' tier list for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Today we have an interesting Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tier list to look over. Instead of a typical strength chart, this time we see the fighters organized based on how well they are designed.

Liquid|Dabuz recently put together this list over on his Twitch channel. The roster is organized into different categories, and Dabuz has his own criteria for what he feels is "well-designed."

Some of the things Dabuz took into consideration for this list were as follows: how fun they are to play as / fight against, how easy or difficult it is to balance them, whether or not they're polarizing and either destroy in certain match ups or get destroyed, and if there's universal counterplay against them.

He also looked out how versatile their moveset is and if they had any moves that were stupidly good without the rest of the moveset being built around it.

Categories here range from "well-designed" to the Echo Fighters, which are essentially copies of already existing characters. Other sections feature characters who only need a couple of changes to feel well-designed, well-designed characters that aren't balanced, poorly-designed fighters that are capable of being fixed, and those who Dabuz feels need complete revamps.

At the top of the food chain we have Bowser, who Dabuz feels is the best-designed heavyweight character ever in Smash Bros.

"He's intimidating. When he puts pressure on you, he puts pressure on you," Dabuz explained. "But when you counter his pressure, whiff punish him, out-frame data him, out-range him, put him at disadvantage, you feel rewarded and feel like it's your time to fight."

You can see Dabuz's full list below, and be sure to check out his Twitch VOD (linked above) to hear the full explanations for his choices.
