Richard Beresford
Vice-President
Richard has a nearly 30-year career in the international energy industry, mostly in natural gas and renewable energy. He left Woodside in 2001 and since then has been involved with starting up energy companies and projects. He has experience in bioenergy projects including the use of oil mallee as a feedstock and the development of mixed-species plantations. For Woodside and others he has advised on carbon abatement and offsets. He is a director of 3 ASX-listed companies.
Cliff Morris
CEO
Cliff has worked for over 35 years in the horticulture, forestry, mining and energy industry. His pioneering roles as environmental scientist with industry has posed many challenges and initiated some very creative ideas, resulting in more sustainable solutions. Cliff balances his working life as a sustainability consultant with his family on an avocado orchard in Karragullen, in the Perth Hills.
Bill Chambers
Treasurer
Bill is a Chartered Accountant who established his own accounting practice after a number of years working for a large international practice. He has had a long standing interest in the environment and has supported Men of the Trees Inc with accounting and auditing services over many years. He is currently on the Board of Fremantle Press and until recently chaired the Council of Trinity, a residential college at the University of Western Australia.
Brian Wickins

Following a 10 year career in rubber and plastics engineering and design, Brian emigrated to Australia in 1983. His interest in technology led him into publishing and in 1992 he formed Resolutions to provide specialist publishing and communication services to the Australian resources sector. The company has been offsetting its carbon footprint since 2007. In 2005 Brian and his wife Adriana purchased a farm in Donnybrook to breed goats and sheep. Joining the board of MOTT in 2007, he brings commercial, management and communication skills to the organisations.
Brian Ellam
Member
Brian has been a member of MOTT for over 20 years, including Chairman at Rockingham Branch for more than 10 years. He looks forward to supporting the MOTT Board and providing feedback to the Rockingham Branch. After teaching for 30 years Brian has recently retired and undertakes relief teaching from time to time.
Tracey Salmond
Member
Tracey has many years of experience as an accountant, providing her expertise to various not-for-profit organisations. When not attending to financial matters, Tracey volunteers her time as a coordinator with the local volunteer bushfire brigade in the Toodyay area where she lives.
Ross Burnett
Member
Ross was a long serving member of MOTT, having served in the past as Nursery Manager at St Barbe Grove Nursery. He is now Development Officer in the Department of Corrective Services.
John Morrell
Member
John Morrell is an electrical engineer with 30 years electricity industry experience. He completed a Master of Science (Environmental) in 2000 including a thesis examining public participation and community engagement in infrastructure decision making, has worked in environmental management since 1995 and has been Western Power's Environmental Operations Manager since 2008. John has a keen interest in environmental protection and sustainability issues, introduced sustainability assessment concepts into Western Power and has developed many strategies to reduce the environmental impact of electricity infrastructure, particularly impacts on biodiversity.
Terry Gadenne
Vice-President
Terry Gadenne holds a degree in management (Aviation), from the University of Western Sydney 2004, is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (2005) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Management. Terry has gained management skills in the Australian military with successful careers in both the Army and Navy. After leaving the military, Terry embarked on private business ventures including an agri-business as a managing director. These experiences have provided Terry a high degree of understanding of organizational governance.
