Umpires Co-ordinator Position

The current Umpires Co-ordinator Ian Poole, has advised the Association he will not be able to fill the role next season.

The Executive is calling for expression of interests from any persons involved within the Perth Cricket Association for the role for next season.

Please lodge your expression of interest with me (by e-mail admin@pca.asn.au ) and further details of the position will be provided.

Vince Del Prete
Administration Officer

Forms & Scores

Please note all forms this season to be sent to the Statistical Officer at P.O. Box 254 Inglewood 6932 or hand delivered to 325 Grand Prom Dianella by 6.00pm Wednesdays after the completion of the match. He does not have a fax.

Also, scores need to be rang (9375 3007) or e-mailed (statistics@pca.asn.au) through to the Statistical Officer by 11.00am on Sundays.

First MCE Games

The 1st MCE games will be on Sunday 27 October 2002. To nominate for the Seniors and colts contact Bruce Stark on 0438 138 842 and veterans contact Garry Formica on 0419 045 543.

Commencement of Season & Fees

The first game of the 2002/2003 will be Saturday 12 October 2002 for all grades due a number of Councils not being able to guarantee the availability of grounds for the Saturday 5 October 2002 as a result of their maintenance program for grounds.

As you are aware, at the Annual General Meeting the issue of Clubs being responsible for the direct payment of their grounds to the Councils (as a result of insurance costs) was discussed.

It was agreed the Executive was to determine the viability of this option and the fee structure for the coming season.

The Executive as now agreed for the cost of ground payments to be returned to the Clubs and fees to be set at $620.00 per team (less $120.00 per team nomination and includes 2 windup tickets per team and a scorebook).

Best wishes for the 2002/2003 season.

Regards,
Vince Del Prete Administration Officer
