This tree is provided to family historians without prejudice. I have constructed most of my family trees using the data I have available, and in a few cases it is estimated as the best fit from available choices. In this tree, several of the links are yet to be proved, so any help that you can give to confirm any line would be appreciated by me and others searching in this family. More modern families also need your inputs, because as I can link modern families to each other, and thus it enables a focus on their common ancestry. The memories of one branch may not be complete, but yet may fill in gaps of another branch. Only by a concerted effort can we really define the true lineage. Help me to help you by sharing what you have. Many additional details have been provided by other researchers and where possible I have included the contributor's email addresses within the file next to their families, however there are countless others also involved. I have attached the marriage to the John (1610) but there may be two Johns. I will still need to confirm the above family of John & Mgt SIMON . It is likely linked in to the family due to the witnesses at the marriage

John and Margaret are in Prah Green, Breage for the birth of their children from 1821 to 1839, and appear in the 1841 census there too. By 1850 they are goldseeking in the County of Grant, Wisconsin until just around the 1861 census by which time they have returned to Ashton, Breage with just two adult sons. The rest of the family by then have settled in Hazel Green, Wisconsin. Of these two returned sons, Joseph joined the gold rushes to Victoria where he eventually married and settled. John remained with his parents and died in Breage in 1874. The parents John and Margaret remained in Pragreen until their deaths in 1868 and 1867

"30th� August 1850, Breage to California

A company has been formed in Breage for the purpose of sending parties to the gold diggings of California. The capital has been all subscribed, and eight men who are going out have been provided with tents and working tools. The company is to be managed upon the same principles as some of our leading mines, and a code of rules and regulations have been compiled, which appear to meet every requirement. This is the first company of the kind carried out in Cornwall. A farewell supper was given at the Star Inn, in Breage church town, on Thursday, when about thirty sat down to the roast beef of old England. Several parties addressed the meeting on the state and prospects of the Californian territory, and after a number of complimentary toasts were drank the meeting separated, the evening having been spent to the enjoyment of all present."

I have assumed that there are two John and Mary families and allocated the children into each family using my best estimate. There may however be just one with a remarriage. These children fit here or in the family of John KITTO (1756) and Mary RICHARDS but this is my best option.

There are two John baptisms but only one burial in Breage. The other may be in the USA. The children of John KITTO & Mary HARRIS are found migrating with the children of James and Alice, cousins together in Wisconsin and then Bendigo.�

After the 1844 marriage of daughter Sally in Prahgreen, the whole family is on the move, beginning with the Callington marriage in 1847 of Mary to John HEBBARD. This couple then migrated to Victoria. The remainder of the family is found in Wisconsin before the 1851 census, for the 1851 marriage.of William and later marriages of Ann in 1856 and Henry in 1863. William has a family in Wisconsin then leaves to have a second wife and family in Victoria, Australia
