Accutron 219

As above for the 218. It is hard to distinguish these watches from the 218 series without looking inside, except when they are marked "219" on the dial like the Railroad example shown below. 219's are encountered a lot less often than 218's.

Accutron 2210

Features:
  • Usually found in Tonneau (barrel) or rectangular shaped cases as a Ladies watch
  • No sweep seconds hand or date function
  • Sometimes encountered as a Man's watch, but not often.
  • Small size. The Lady's examples shown below are about 20mm (3/4") across. The Man's is about 35mm.

Accutron 224


There are 3 variations of the 224:
  • 2240: Time only, with sweep seconds.
  • 2241: Time, Sweep secs., Day display.
  • 2242: Time, Sweep Secs., Day and Date display.

Features:
  • Time setting crown usually at 4 O'clock position.
  • Back must be removed to change battery.
  • Date models have "quick change" day function.
  • Often have a fake diamond on the dial.
  • Usually marked "Accuquartz" on the dial.

Accutron 230

There are 6 variations of the 230:
  • 2300: Time only, no sweep seconds
  • 2301: Time with sweep seconds
  • 2302: Time with sweep seconds and date
  • 2303: Time with sweep seconds, day and date
  • 2312: Same as 2302, but movement is 3.9mm (0.153") larger in diameter
  • 2313: Same as 2303, but movement is 3.9mm (0.153") larger in diameter
Features:
  • Usually found as a Lady's watch in mostly round cases, sometimes other shapes.
  • Occasionally seen as a man's watch, using the larger movement (above), but they are smaller than men's watches using 214, 218, 219 or 224 movements.
  • The examples shown below are about 25mm (1") across.

Universal Unisonic

Features:
  • Uses the Bulova Accutron 218D movement, but all parts finished by Universal to higher standards. It is known as their cal. 52. All parts are interchangeable with standard 218 parts. >font face="arial">
