CHOCOLATE SELF-SAUCING PUDDING

1 cup self raising flour
� cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
� teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
� cup walnuts [optional]

Beat all ingredients and pour into an ovenproof dish.

SAUCE
� cup brown sugar
� cup cocoa
2 cups hot water.

Mix the brown sugar and cocoa together and sprinkle on the top of the mixture in the dish.
Carefully pour the hot water over the whole thing [I pour it over the back of a spoon] and bake in a moderate oven for 50 - 55 minutes.

This is great cooked in a microwave oven for about half the time - as far as I remember - and it is easier to clean the dish.
