Culture - Students
Students

Investigate "What is culture?" Make a ConceptMap to demonstrate your understandings.

You will be divided into groups of six. In your group, complete the Webquest which investigates the question "What does it mean to be an Australian?"

To start, make sure you complete the Subject Sampler and Knowledge Hunt as well. These findings will be presented in Publisher, and they will be collated into a Class Book about Australian Culture.

Each group of six will research one of the countries as described in the webquest. This must be presented as a PowerPoint presentation, accompanied by an Oral Presentation. This will be assessed using this rubric.

You may need to organize your information using DeBono's Six Hats.

You now form an "expert group" with one member of each country group represented. Together you must answer the Big Question -

"What does it mean to be an Australian?"

Your answer may be presented using any of the Multiple Intelligences, however your answer must be very clear, and able to be recorded in some way (eg. Paper, Photo, Video etc...)

Now that you have decided what makes an Australian, you have the chance to explore what are the Rights and Responsibilities of each citizen in Australia.

Complete these activities on the Rights and Responsibilities Page.
