Emu oil has been used for hundreds of years by the Aborigines as a treatment for all manner of ailments. Native to Australia, the flightless birds became increasingly popular around 1990 when emu farming was legislated throughout most of Australia. The Gregory family became involved in this exciting new industry shortly after, and established two farms for the principal purpose of emu farming.

After extensive research and an interest in producing the most natural range of Emu Oil products possible, Emu Tracks was founded in early 1996. In August of the same year, Emu Tracks released its first products onto the domestic market. Since that time, Emu Tracks has grown to be one of Australia's biggest and most diverse manufacturers of Emu Oil products. Maintaining a unique approach with concern to health and well-being, Emu Tracks products are petrochemical free and made from natural ingredients providing one of the few ranges of natural products for the health conscious consumer.

Emu Tracks is possibly the only company in Australia to grow our own birds on professional farms, render and refine the oil in our specially designed manufacturing plant and manufacture our own products. Emu Tracks Managing Director, Chris Gregory, has always been conscious of the vital role the administrators have to play in developing the Emu Industry into a viable and sustainable farming alternative and as such has held the position of President of the South Australian Emu Farmers Association for the past 6 years. He has also played significant roles within the Emu Industry Federation of Australia and The South Australian Emu Industry Consultative Committee. Through these industry bodies, the world's most extensive research into the benefits and properties of Emu Oil has been undertaken.
 

What is Pure Emu Oil?

Pure Emu Oil should mean that there have been no additives applied to the Emu Oil. The word �Pure� does not in any way give any indication of the quality of the oil.

Emu Tracks is the only company that carries the Industry Approved Logo on our products to attest that it meets all the required criteria.

Is All Emu Oil The Same?

The short answer is, no! The Emu Industry has spent over $400,000.00 in research on Emu Oil and has found that while Emu Oil can have significant therapeutic benefits for a whole range of conditions, the research has shown that the level of �activity� in Emu Oil can vary significantly. This may mean that in some instances, a much greater quantity of Emu Oil is required to achieve the same result, or in fact in some cases, there may be little benefit from the oil at all.

What we have learned from the research is that the rendering and refining process of the oil can play a significant role in the �activity� of the oil. While most manufacturers will claim to have the highest grade oil available, there is currently no commercial test available for manufacturers to base their claim. Another key element of the research is to develop a commercial test so that the consumer can have confidence when buying Emu Oil, that it has a significant level of anti-inflammatory in it.

Chris Gregory, Managing Director of Emu Tracks has for the last 6 years been President of the South Australian Emu Farmers Association and has been a key delegate on the National body for that period of time. He is also Chairman of the company that oversees this research project.

Emu Tracks is in a unique position in that it can utilise all the findings from the research and apply it to its commercial operation.

Price?

The price of Emu Oil products is not necessarily an indicator of quality. While Emu Tracks remains very cost competitive with respect to other brands on the market, we do not sacrifice on quality, in fact, we would suggest that there is no other range on the market that can match us on quality.

It is also prudent to point out that there still exists some cheaper Emu Oil products on the market that are manufactured in an �on farm� basis, where levels of hygienic manufacture may be questionable.

Beware of Oil in Clear Bottles Emu Tracks do not package their oil in clear containers as it is a basic rule of the oil industry that light and heat will affect all oil causing it to oxidise over a period of time. Emu oil generally has very good preservation properties.

I can honestly say, without a shadow of exaggeration, that these are the Best hair products that I have Ever tried. Although I have long hair, I found that only a small amount of shampoo was needed. When massaging the shampoo into my hair I instantly felt the hair thicken in my hands, which happened during the first and second wash. This concerned me at first, I feared that my hair would matt, as I have quite thick hair already. After rinsing I applied the conditioner, which I found to be thinner in consistency than my regular conditioner, so I was sceptical once more. However, very soon my hair became smooth and silky, kinda like Silicone Silky, most unusual. I left the conditioner on for about 3 minutes before rinsing off. I towel dried the hair, brushed it out and left it to dry naturally for about half an hour before finishing off with the hair dryer. I was Absolutely Astonished at the end result, my hair was Very thick, Very curly and it felt in Great condition. Also, the colour seemed much brighter and the hair was shiny all over. I normally use styling products before drying with the dryer to achieve this kind of result, but no other products were applied on this occasion.

"My husband Mark injured his finger on the chuck on his electric drill yesterday, the disposable glove that he was wearing got caught up when the chuck was spinning and pulled on his finger. He was unable to bend it and he was in a lot of pain, he thought that it may be broken. I suffer from bad pain in my shoulders and am limited to what I can do. However, I discovered Emu Oil through a friend, who gave me a demonstration on her products. I found the Liniment is a life saver, it really does help with my problem, I am able to move around a lot better, it eased the pain. I also find it good for headaches which I also get a lot of. Early into setting up her business, I reluctantly agreed for a friend, an Emu Tracks representative to come round to my house in order to demonstrate her wares and practice her sales pitch on me. Half an hour later, feeling more than relaxed due to the easy ,calm manner that Diane (the said rep) instilled as she went about her sales routine, and due to the delightful, homeopathic components contained in Emu Tracks products, I emerged this complete patchwork of every conceivable tracking item on the market!  Now, I�m definitely not your average party plan attendant, and am brutally basic as far as toiletries go, so carefully and practically selected the honeysuckle soap and Skin Repair Body Gel with aloe vera.  The choice turned out to be wise � the soap leaving a subtle but delicious, lingering aroma in my bathroom till the very last slither (unlike most nice soaps that are available and blow more smoke than fire), not to mention the sveldt texture it produced on my skin.  As for the body gel, it�s provided a flexible solution to many minor problems as a mainstay in my family first aid box and predominantly given me what I wanted from it, being after sun application in this harsh Queensland climate.  I�d recommend these reasonably and affordably priced products to my best friends.

As an employee in the automotive racing industry I find my occupation really takes it's toll on my hands.   Unfortunately the use of gloves is not always an option and there is rarely a week goes by that I do not incur some kind of burn injury or minor cuts and torn skin.  Healing is a constant process and having now discovered the Emu Tracks pure emu oil I have noticed that healing time, particularly with burns is significantly reduced. 

Although it takes longer than other repair lotions to soak into the skin I have found the benefits of emu oil to be far greater than all others I have tried and there have been many!  The solvents and materials my hands are exposed to dry the skin  severely, which usually ends in cracking and bleeding.  I have found the pure emu oil neutralises these conditions, keeping the skin softer, which effectively increases resistance to cuts, cracks and tears.

Riding motorcycles for both recreation and sport I can also report the benefits of the Emu Tracks injury relief oil for the occasional muscle strains and bruises that are part of riding competitively.  Based on my personal experience with both these products I would openly recommend them to anyone in a similar environment as myself.

I decided to become an independant representative for Emu Tracks because I have tried their products in the past and was extremely pleased with the results I received from them.

I have tested most of their products myself now and I can honestly say I have found them all to be very beneficial to my needs.

My favourites are the stress relief oil which I use after a very stressful day which immediately calms me down and lets me have a peaceful night�s sleep (being an insomniac for years, this is a godsend), the injury relief treatment which takes the edge off my back injury pain which I�ve suffered with for about 5 years and the other product I really love is the Skin repair as when I apply this after being sunburnt, it soothes the burning on my skin straight away and I never peel.  Also quite recently I put an iceback directly on my back with no towel around it and received a nasty ice burn.  I immediately applied the Skin repair on the burn and it soothed the pain straight away and didn�t leave a nasty scar.

I am also very happy with the moisturiser as it has a non-greasy feel and makes the skin on my face feel refreshed after applying it.

After applying any of the products to my skin, they always make me feel very relaxed and at peace.  The aroma of all the products are absolutely beautiful.
