For those who have been here before you will immediately notice things have changed.
I know from feedback, over the four years this website has been operating, that it has already demonstrated it is of great value to
all who clock in. The one thing I hope that won't change is that it will still prove to be very useful, whether it be to reinforce what
you already know or to provide an insight where you feel you are under-informed.
Apart from the obvious look and feel of the site the most notably change is that I have merged the Lectures and Exercises sections
into the
COURSES section which sub-divides into:
- INTRODUCTION and
- INTERMEDIATE courses, both of which will take you
through writing short films of 3 to 4 minutes and 8 to 10 minutes respectively,
- ADVANCED, which is geared to writing a feature film, and
- TELEVISION, which places particular emphasis on drafting
a series bible complete with episode storylines and a script of one of them.
- The CURRICULUM COUNCIL PD DAY Introduction to Teaching Scriptwriting info link is HERE.
- The ROSSMOYNE SHS 2008 3 Min Scriptwriting Course Link is HERE.
- The MERCEDES COLLEGE 2009 INTRO LECTURE is
HERE
And the WORKSHOP details are HERE
The advantage is the lectures, workshop exercises and relevant links to any extra material for any given week in any particular course
can be found on the one webpage.
Follow the links and check them out.
CORPORATE and ADAPTATION course sections will be added shortly.
The
SCRIPT section sub-divides into:
- SHORT FILMS, which divides into 2-4 minute films
and 8-12 minute films
- FEATURE FILMS, with division into scripts with
different attributes such as structure, low-budget and genre, and
- TELEVISION MATERIAL with sample Series Bibles,
Episode Storylines and Scripts;
You will notice I have already added a
- CORPORATE section, with several examples of Client
Briefs, Proposal Outlines and Scripts, and an
- ADAPTATION section which has examples of scripts
adapted from sources such as Novels, Short Stories, Stage Plays and Facts, with links to the source material, or suggestions where
to find it.

I trust it all works out to be extremely useful...
