2001 ~ Current E&P IT Solutions Pty Ltd (EPITS):
In my final year of high school, I completed a work experience assignment in the I.T. department of West Australian Petroleum (WAPET now Chevron) supervised by Mr. Charlie Butterworth. As of December 2001, I have been exploring possible project opportunities with Mr. Butterworth (now proprietor of EPITS) including a web-based Java programming project for petroleum exploration corporations.

    12/2001 ~ 01/2002 Analabs Pty Ltd
Over the 2002 university vacation period I worked as a casual Sample Preparation Assistant at Analabs Pty Ltd Mineral Science Laboratory.

    Personal Qualities:

    • Very good HTML (web) design and coding skills, which I prefer to apply directly (as opposed to using third-party HTML generation programs such as MS FrontPage or Macromedia Dream Weaver).
    • Experience in programs such as Macromedia Fireworks (graphics design).
    • Fundamental working knowledge of several programming languages including BASIC, Microsoft Visual Basic, and Java.
    • In my spare time I am an avid computer user and have a good knowledge of all Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Publisher.

I believe my experience and management years working at McDonalds in Warwick has given me many valuable personal skills including good communication, teamwork, leadership, and time management skills.

Due to the cost reduction pressures of managing a fast food outlet on a eight-hour shift basis, I believe managers need to remain calm under pressure (for example: during high volume periods), have a broad understanding of their environment (being able to multitask), work together with crew both as a team player and leader, and set an outstanding example for both employees and customers alike. I believe my three years experience as a Manager has helped me to develop these skills.

During my years at John XXIII College I was actively involved in activities such as public speaking, interschool debating, and the magazine (CD-ROM division) committee. Outside of school I have successfully completed Australian Music and Examinations Board (AMEB) speech and drama certificates at Preliminary and Elementary levels.

I would be happy to provide any additional information that maybe required on request.
