Hospital MapThe hospital map can be found here (pdf file). Hospital Wards and ClinicsKnowing the hospital wards and clinics will help you in finding patients and patient types within the hospital. Level 3: Oncology ward, Respiratory Testing, walkway to UDP Level 4: Emergency Department, main entrance, outpatients departments Level 5: Infants ward, surgical ward, burns ward, cardiology ward, cardiology outpatient department, orthopaedics outpatient department, Radiology department Level 6: Paediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, Plastics and Orthopaedics ward, Operating Theatres Level 7: Ward 7Teen (adolescence), MegaZone Level 8: Ward 8A (general paediatrics) Level 9: Ward 9A (general paediatrics) Notes and ComputersThe Medical Records office is located on the 3rd floor at the north end of the corridor. To get access to patient notes you need to go and get a copy of the letter that allows you to do this from the University Department of Paediatrics. Computers at PMH have several useful areas. To get an HE number so you can access patient results, get the forms you require from UDP. The hospital intranet site has alot of great notes under the Emergency Department Clinical Guidelines area, that cover most of the topics you need to know for exams in about the right level of detail. There are 6 computers on broadband connection in the UWA Dept of Paediatrics (4th floor, administration building- access during business hours). There is a single sided printer. LibraryYou can sign up with the library while you are on rotation at PMH. The library sells photocopy cards if you need to print off journal articles. It is located on the third floor of the administration building (Roberts Road). |
