    Beautiful and Lush
These expansive gardens are beautiful, especially the colourful orchids. Note you have to pay a fee to see the orchid garden but most of the gardens are free and simply beautiful. On a Saturday morning, people were out exercising, walking their dogs, having a coffee with friends, a picnic, taking naps or just socialising. How wonderful and relaxing. These are among the finest gardens I have visited.

    Fabulous
Really wonderful. Would be difficult to rate it anything other than five stars. It's beautiful, charming, informative - an absolute oasis within a crowded island city. The orchid rooms are wonderful. I particularly liked the Mist Room, recreating high-level, cool climates. The flower displays are superb. You should definitely go.

    Beauty and serenity
This tranquil oasis is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in the lush tropical climate. The winding pathways are a delight to explore, with a wide variety of flora and fauna to discover. The vibrant birdlife is a sight to behold, and the educational tours offered by the Gardens are a great way to learn more about the natural environment.

    Beautiful Garden
We spent most of a day exploring these gardens and still didn't see it all. We would have spent more time but it was oppressively hot and humid. The grounds are stunning with tons of beautiful plants, trees, flowers, birds, etc. Definitely worth the trip.

    Lush Paradise!!
A glorious Botanic Garden! Our favourite being the rain forest that once covered Singapore. The sounds alone are a treat! Be aware there are numerous gates with their accompanying visitor centres!! We got a wee bit lost, not realising this!!

Best thing to do in Singapore
Just WOW! By far the best botanical gardens i‘ve ever been to! And it’s even free, exept the Orchids Garden. For me it was the best attraction in Singapore, not crowded, peaceful and very interesting! Beats the Gardens at the Bay by far!!!

    A beautiful area in Singapore
Very picturesque place which makes for some great photos. There are some rare plants, trees and fauna from all around the world, and the gardens itself are very big, which means you can spend a long time here walking round and catching the sights. We didn’t pay the extra money to go into different areas as it was quite expensive on a backpacker budget, but we left not feeling like we’d missed out. Definitely recommend.

    Another site not to miss
I’ve always got a taxi to this wonderful place but today used the MRT. What a pleasant and efficient way to get there. Anyway the gardens were there usual immaculate self and the orchid garden was spectacular. Highly recommend this place in this wonderful country, don’t miss out and take the MRT.

    Well worth a visit
I think the Botanic Gardens in Singapore are some of the best in the world. Very easy to spend at least half a day here. Easy to get to via MRT. We travelled to the gardens via the Botanic Gardens Station, worked our way through the gardens, and exited near the Napier MRT Station. The National Orchid Garden is a highlight of the Gardens. Entering the Botanic Gardens is free, but there is a charge for the Orchid Garden. Well worth a visit.

    Lovely respite from downtown crowds
The gardens are a short ride from the center of the city that takes you by embassy row which is of interest on its own. If you only have an hour or two head to the orchid garden for its incredible collection of orchids and bromeliads. The collection is a pleasant walk through beautifully maintained themed exhibits. Be sure to take in the collection of hybridized orchids named in honor of notable visitors, such as the Obamas. It was interesting to see who was represented. Admission price is a real bargain, especially if you are a Senior. We were enthralled by a resident monitor lizard peaking through foliage at us near the entrance. There is also a very nice shop and clean restrooms at the entrance to the garden. After the crowds and bustle of downtown it was a nice respite.

A good walk/stroll through this exceptionally clean park, with the nice flavours, aromas of flora. Of course touristic attraction as you will meet a multicultural population interested in this natural “green” and joggers and lovers of tranquility ...Enjoy this beautiful place where you can see nice old trees, smell aromas, flavours of an extreme variety of flowers/ plants/rainforest and take time to visit the special zone of orchids, probably over 2000, this part is to be paid for a small amount but the rest of park, lake is free. We saw squirrels and lizards ..this UNESCO Heritage is a
Must to visit with good walking shoes and suncream. Of course take refreshing water as this enchanting place will need some of your time ...but very rewarding !

It has been donkey years since our last visit here and so on one weekend after our dinning at The Villa, one of the restaurants located within the Singapore Botanical Gardens (do check out my review of the restaurant here too), we decided to spend some time to walk the park.

The park is definitely lovely, serene, peaceful, nice, clean and well maintained!

Despite of the sudden passing showers (it lasted for about 25 mins) that we experienced, that didn't stop our spirit and mood from walking around the big garden. We came by the National Orchid gallery, the outdoor stage and the most iconic landmark, the Pavilion, just to name a few.

It's good to see so many kinds of flowers, trees and indulged in greenery!

The garden is till date, the one and only Singapore's UNESCO world heritage site and it is free to visit (but admission to the Orchid garden is chargeable).

If you like greenery or wanna to find a quiet place out of the bustling city, this will be an ideal place for you!

What an absolutely spectacular botanical garden!! Easy to get to on the SMRT (aptly named Botanical Gardens stop on the Downtown line), this place is vast, you could easily spend 2 days here if you like your plants. Entrance is free, but there is a S$5 charge for the UNESCO heritage listed Orchid garden, and I have to say that it’s well worth the money. Everything is well laid out, and pretty much all areas are wheelchair accessible, although it is quite hilly (especially feel it on a hot and humid day). Food places a plenty (prices on a par with the rest of the city), but if you’re going to stay the whole day, bring a picnic, lots of shady areas to sit on a blanket. This is a must go to place if you’re ever in Singapore and it won’t break the bank.

I stopped off at the botanical gardens whilst doing the hop on/off city bus tour and I am so glad I took the time out to visit. There is no entry charge to the gardens themselves.
The gardens are absolutely beautiful with waters falls, a large lake and a huge variety of flora and fauna. I visited on a very hot and humid day but there are plenty of shaded areas to walk through to give you a chances to call off. As you walk through the garden you will come across The National Orchid Garden, I didn't go in as it was there was a cost, but there are enough orchids display outside for you to take in their beauty.
I stopped for breakfast whilst in the gardens at a little place called Pepperoni, well worth a visit and a great place to watch the world go by.

You have to pay a small amount to access the Orchid Garden but otherwise the Botanic Gardens are free and provide an oasis of calm in the City. A lovely way to while away a few hours. The Gardens are one of the numerous stops on the Hop on/Hop off Bus Tours.

We visited the gardens with friends and found the gardens lovely. There was a orchid garden inside that you paid a small fee to enter. The gardens also had a rain forest walkway and a lake where we saw a large Komodo dragon at the edge of the lake.

These gardens are extensive with different areas for different types of plants. When you arrive you are given a map and recommendations of what to see and where to go. The orchid gardens are the only part you have to pay for but the charge is negligible and they are stunning. There is a nice cafe and gift shop too. We will be going back as we couldnt see everything in a day.

A definite Singapore treasure well worth your time to visit - and better yet it’s free! The gardens are immaculate and beauty abounds. It’s also worth paying the very reasonable fee to enter the National Orchid Garden inside the Botanical Garden. The orchids are amazing and there are so many varieties to enjoy. A great place to take a relaxing stroll with friends or a loved one.

The botanic gardens overall are lovely being mainly trees and shrubs. The extensive range of bamboos and the sheer size of some of them was impressive. Entry to the gardens is free but you have to pay to enter the orchid garden. This is 6SD or only 1SD for over 60's. The orchids were an absolute delight and extremely varied in colour and shape.

This is one of my favourite places and Singapore’s jewel. It is an excellently maintained, wonderfully designed, sprawling historically preserved garden organised into botanical themes. It is entirely worthy of its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This is one place not to rush through. Advisable to visit early in the morning or late afternoon when the temperatures in Singapore are cooler. Enter by any gate, though my favourite is Tanglin Gate or via the Ginger Garden entrance/ Tyersall Gate.

The Orchid Garden is wonderful and the $5 entrance not high, but it is not wonderful than the rest of the entrance free garden.

The Halia restaurant is OK to eat at (e.g., breakfast), but there are certainly better places elsewhere to dine.
