Simone Muratore joins Atalanta

The midfielder joins the club permanently

Atalanta B.C. announce the signing of footballer Simone Muratore on a permanent transfer from Juventus.

Born on the 30th of May 1998 in Cuneo, Simone is a very flexible and tactically intelligent midfielder, with a good physical structure and game vision.
As regards football, he came through first Villafalletto, the team of his village, and Saluzzo, then he joined Juventus Academy in 2012, which he completed his entire grow path with up to professionalism, also wearing the Italian team shirt of the various youth teams from U16s to U19s. In the last two seasons, he has played for Juventus Under 23 making 49 appearances and scoring 3 goals in the Lega Pro league. During this season, he has also had the great satisfaction of making his debut in the UEFA Champions League coming on for Cuadrado in the final minutes of the game won 2-0 by Juventus at the Bayer Leverkusen ground last December. However, he had already tested the atmosphere of the Champions League in February 2018 when he went on the bench in the Juventus-Tottenham 2-2 match in the round of 16. This season, on five other occasions, between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, he was on the bench called up to the First Team by Maurizio Sarri and made his Serie A debut in the match Juventus won 4-0 against Lecce on Friday 26 June.
