Hong Kong is a concrete jungle surrounded by nature, where residents escape the bustle of urban life by exploring country parks and beaches. However, it’s rare to have a home amid the great outdoors, as this usually means compromising on the conveniences of city living. But Sino Land is bringing together these two ways of life with Silversands, an upscale residential development on the beachfront of Starfish Bay that’s only a short walk from the Wu Kai Sha MTR station.

This four-tower, nine-storey property – comprising 160 units ranging from one to four bedrooms, plus an expansive clubhouse – is surrounded by a conservation area in Wu Kai Sha spanning more than 11 hectares (27 acres), nestled on a lush peninsula that boasts panoramic views of Tolo Channel and Tolo Harbour. It’s mere steps from tranquil Starfish Bay Beach and Wu Kai Sha Beach, known as one of the city’s best places to view the sunset.

Silversands’ location offers easy access to the Hong Kong Unesco Global Geopark, with its 15,000 hectares (37,065 acres) of stunning rock formations and natural beauty. The development is also surrounded by more than 18,500 hectares (45,700 acres) of green spaces, including Ma On Shan Country Park, Sai Kung West and East country parks, Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve, Pat Sin Leng Country Park and Plover Cove Country Park.

In addition, the location has excellent connectivity around the city, with Wu Kai Sha MTR station only minutes away for travel via the Tuen Ma line – with a direct connection to Kai Tak and the new Kowloon East CBD2 area – and the future Sha Tin-Central link that will provide direct access to Admiralty. There are also links to three highways, allowing residents to reach Central district by car in 22 minutes.

Silversands will provide a coastal lifestyle with urban amenities. New Territories East is home to five shopping malls, including Double Cove Place, MOSTown and New Town Plaza, for retail therapy along with dining and entertainment options. For families, the area is home to a strong educational network ranging from prestigious international schools such as Li Po Chun United World College and Malvern College Hong Kong up to the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Silversands’ beachfront location in Wu Kai Sha is just a 22-minute drive from Central district.

Outdoor lovers and fitness enthusiasts will be able to choose from 10 scenic hiking trails that are within reach of Silversands. They include the Kei Ling Ha Tree Walk, Tai Mei Tuk Family Walk, Bride’s Pool Nature Trail and the Ma On Shan Country Trail to Sai Kung. Cyclists can enjoy an 8km coastal bike ride from Sha Tin to Wu Kai Sha, following the Ma On Shan Promenade.

There are more activities to explore in the area, such as the Whitehead Club Golf Driving Range. Meanwhile, the proposed Pak Shek Sports Park is in the preliminary planning stage to be developed nearby.

Within the Silversands development, Sino Land is creating a luxurious way of living that will feel like a beach holiday. The property features a plush clubhouse spanning 24,000 square feet, with a French Riviera-inspired design conceptualised by Hong Kong-based architecture and design studio Via. The clubhouse design includes plenty of timber grille that accentuates sunlight streaming into the space, creating a connection with the surrounding green scenery.

Silversands features a large clubhouse that provides a variety of amenities and special spaces, including an elegant banquet room that residents can use to host gatherings.

The clubhouse includes an outdoor infinity pool that overlooks the sea, providing a perfectly serene setting. It also houses a well-appointed banquet room, a fitness centre, a children’s play area and a lounge. Together, these amenities will help residents find wellness, relaxation and socialisation.

When it comes to the living spaces, Silversands offers a mix of designs in the low-density development, where the limited number of units per floor in each of the four towers ensures high privacy for residents. Choices range from a cosy one-bedroom unit measuring 266 sq ft up to a spacious four-bedroom flat with an area of 1,654 sq ft. All units are equipped with Gaggenau and Siemens appliances.

A typical four-bedroom unit has a saleable area of 1,249 sq ft, plus 54 sq ft for a balcony. Sliding glass doors provide access to the balcony from the living and dining area, along with sweeping sea views. Two of the bedrooms are ensuite, and there is also a helper’s room.

The largest unit has a top-floor location and a saleable area of 1,654 sq ft, with an additional 67 sq ft for the balcony. In addition, there is an extensive rooftop area ideal for outdoor leisure activities. The unit comprises four bedrooms, including two ensuite, and a helper’s room. Its vast living room measures 9.4 metres (30.8 feet) wide, with large windows framing a panoramic view of Starfish Bay.

Silversands promises everyone an elevated lifestyle that meets everyone’s needs, whether they are luxury seekers, parents, nature lovers, adventurous types or urban professionals.

The Silversands sales gallery is open for viewings at Shop UG01, Coronation Circle, 1 Yau Cheung Road, Yau Ma Tei. The development is scheduled to be completed in August 2022.
