This is my go to location when I am in Santa Monica. I had the pleasure of working with Bobby Cooley who helped with my room reservation - he was so accommodating and made things easy. He even had a nice welcome amenity arranged when I arrived. Heaven! The room was spacious, top notch views for the sunset, and easy to walk to all that SM has to offer. Tyron Page (Director of Guest Services) provided amazing customer service for all my requests as well. My only wish is that I was able to stay for more than 1 night. Thank you both!

Stayed at the Shore Hotel for one night in September, This was the nicest hotel we stayed at during out two week California travel. The room was very comfortable, modern, and clean. The hotel was very secure and the location was perfect. We used the pool and spa and had a nice breakfast at the pool the following morning. The food and service were both very good.
I had booked directly through the hotel and gotten a pretty good deal avoiding some of the fees that they were charging.

Stayed here with family for 2 nights. Booked the hotel through its website and got a brilliant price as well as parking for $20 per night with privileges due to booking in advance.
From the moment we entered the hotel, Ramon in reception looked after our every need. From chatting with us every time we passed to making suggestions for places to eat, he was possible the most attentive front of house staff member I’ve ever met.
The hotel itself is very plush and has a nice pool area and restaurant. The hotel offers free bicycles for 3 hr slots to explore the area which is great.
Location could not be better, situated right in front of Santa Monica pier.

Firstly, the hotel is in a great location, just across the street from the pier and close to many good dining and shopping options. We had a great time and would stay again.
About a week before the trip, the hotel called to say that my ocean view king suite would not be available and we would need to stay in a partial ocean view suite. The rate was reduced and an additional discount applied due to the inconvenience. The room was nice, very clean and as advertised but the view was particularly disappointing. We could partially see the ocean but were also right near an unattractive roof of a neighboring building.
The check-in process was great. Greeted with complimentary drinks and by very friendly and helpful staff (shout out to Lawrence) and the valet was seamless throughout. Ramon, behind the front desk, was amazing then and throughout our stay. So friendly, so helpful and wonderful to deal with. Ramon remembered everyone's names and greeted us each time we walked in.
On of the biggest issues was the comfort of the beds and the pillows. The pillows were terrible and, even the additional pillows that were promptly sent up were very uncomfortable.
One highlight was the glass shower. Wonderful shower head and water pressure.
One tip is to get a garden view room over a city view room. The city view rooms are right next to the road.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It was very central, secure, functional and an effective base for exploring LA areas we were interested in. We selected the largest room type which was functional rather than luxury and quiet and comfortable.
The breakfast area was quite average and the pool was centrally located for families.
Santa Monica was a great fresh air seaside location, however has a lot of homeless people who a proportion of seem to have serious mental health issues.

Went for breakfast. Excellent and friendly service from Rafael. Great build your own omelet with delicious, ripe fruit. The Oceanview Hote,l where I was staying,referred me and I was offered a 30% discount. I also enjoyed the lively poolside atmosphere with an ocean view. I will definitely visit again.

Had a great staycation with my wife for Valentine's Day. We were greeted by Ramon who was warm and friendly. He gave us the option upgrade to a nicer room from the one we booked and we're glad we went with his recommendation. Going from a first floor garden view to a top floor ocean view (a little extra splurge but hey it's vday!) We were given complimentary champagne and chocolates, robes and slippers were sent up to us, it was a very nice room and service.
For dinner we took a short walk to Sol Agave which was delicious. Afterwards, we swung back by the hotel and Ramon gave us a nice recommendation to a nearby rooftop bar for some after dinner drinks. A little tipsy when we returned, Ramon hooked it up with some much needed bottled water. Thank you!
The next morning we took advantage of the included bike rentals and went for a quick ride along the beach before heading back to the real world.
Great little trip for us locals to feel like tourists in our own city thanks to Ramon and the rest of the staff.

I made the reservation online booking the California Resident rate. There was a mistake and I had to book again so I called the hotel. The representative asked if I wanted everything the same which I replied yes and gave her the right card info. Upon checking in I found that she booked me under the affordable rate. Problem #1 as it didn't include free wifi. Also, upon arriving to the room I did a 'walk through' which I found many surfaces weren't wiped. Clearly there was dust. I wiped it all down with my Clorox wipes. On our way up to the room from the pool I requested 3 sets of bath towels. An hour later still no towels. That night we ordered room service and one item was left off of the order so everyone except my husband got to eat together.
Besides all of the above the location is GREAT. The pool is nice (heated) and perfect for my kids. Deepest is 4 ft.
I don't know if I'd stay again as there are other hotels in the area that can offer a better experience.

This hotel is in an amazing location in Santa Monica close to the beachfront pier. The weather in LA was terrible with 4 straight days of rain, fog and cold temperatures, but the hotel was warm, inviting and managed with friendly and super gracious staff. You are only a few minutes walking distance to the beach and a choice of great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. You definitely don't need a car if you're going to be staying locally. I will say that the overnight parking rates at the hotel are overpriced and although its convenient-there are several public parking garages just down the street and around the corner on Broadway for a fraction of the cost. The hotel also has bikes you can rent for free for three hours and they are ideal for tooling around the area especially if you want to ride the path to Venice Beach. The lobby area is a bit too minimalist for my taste and the gym is tiny, but these were really minor details. One stand out of our trip was meeting Adriano, in charge of the concierge service at the hotel. He is a warm, charming, and very engaging person who will do everything to find you what you want and help come up with creative solutions for any special requests. He really makes you feel like a VIP and made staying at the Shore an absolute pleasure. Can't enough good things about him. The desk personnel are also always ready to take care of you and we really felt well taken care of. Highly recommend this hotel given the well appointed rooms, pool area, location and staff as well as reasonable rates for the area.

I found my stay at the Shore Hotel very pleasant - the rooms had a bit of a craftsman element to them by design, with neat details such as a glass wall to the bathroom (that can be concealed by an Eletronic screen and a small porch to enjoy the sunset and bustle of Santa Monica. The room itself was quiet - very nice for a business traveler. I also appreciated the welcome champagne to toast my stay.
All the staff I encountered were very helpful, from a smiling bellhop to the cleaning staff. Ramon Jimenez, who was working at check in upon my arrival made me feel like a valued guest. He was cheerful, courteous and happy to answer any questions I had. It was nice to receive some excellent customer service!
If I had one suggestion at check in: ask to be away from rooms with children if possible. While the room itself was quiet, there was a bit of hall noise from the family in the rooms across the hall.

They do not have in house laundry service , but outside laundry service, where they will come and pick up your laundry
We paid a daily fee and utilized the valet. It wasn't too crazy price though, like 25.00 or something.
Lol! My nephew found that out the hard way when he thought it was OK to smoke on the Hotel Balcony… THERE IS NO SMOKING ON HOTEL GROUNDS! However! Just step outside and get the dirty looks from the non smokers You’ll be fine! I did and I had a marvelous time!
