That would be me, and yeah, he was not trying to hit Canha. Maybe he was when he actually did hit him on Canha’s next at-bat, but it didn’t matter cuz both Ohtani and Canha laughed it off and smiled at each other with a “we’re cool” gesture. The main stream sports media didn’t show that though, they blew that whole situation out of proportion. Ohtani is definitely a class act, from an extreme A’s fan.
