Sheraton Niagara Falls enjoys a prime location lauded by guests for its closeness to local attractions, yet the hotel's rooms often come under scrutiny for needing updates and better soundproofing. While the cleanliness of the hotel receives commendation, the value proposition is tarnished by unexpected fees, including those for parking and resort amenities. Visitors enjoy the welcoming pool area, but the atmosphere in the rooms leaves room for improvement. Mixed reviews are given to the service, with some staff members providing exceptional experiences and others falling short on communication.

My boys (13 & 17) & I stayed Tuesday through Friday. Arrived at the hotel, although check-in wasn't until 4pm, our room(s) were ready. The room was clean, due to Covid-19 there is no pen, paper, or other hotel information laying around.
Housekeeping does not enter your room during your stay, but the hotel offers towel exchange by ringing the front desk.
Using the pool is by reservation, (1 hour time slots) and other families are also using the pool at the same
Mostly everything is within walking distance, the falls, Maid of the Mist.

We’ve stayed at the Sheraton before and we’ve always felt it was a good spot for a quick overnight for our kids. It had been about 3 years since our last stay and it just feels like not much has been done in that time to keep the hotel updated. Everything has a bit of a worn down feel to it- from the room to the pool. Shower and Heat was broken in our room and the pool was very beat up. We took the kids to swim in the afternoon and there was a massive chunk of collected hair that someone had pulled out of the pool. My wife brought my attention to it and we were relieved that we saw it after we had gotten out. Well we returned the next morning at 9:00am and it was still sitting in the same spot 18 hours later, so pretty clear that nobody actually cleans the pool on a regular basis. I suppose it’s tough to complain when they run a special and you get to stay for a reasonable price. Just don’t fool yourself into thinking you’re getting a 5 star facility for a 3 star price.

My husband and I planned to stay one night and ended up staying for two!!!
This hotel has everything you need and more!!
Front desk staff are very helpful and nice!!
Did not swim because too many hockey kids in the pool! I had my years of hockey and understood how busy it can get, the pool looked very nice and the hot tubs had signs for adult only, so we could have used hot tubs but too busy!
Casino tunnel was perfect, just a short time outside out of the cold.
Only 2 negative things to say but not a deal breaker for us
1. The hidden costs on your bill, good to know ahead
As it was an additional $40
Destination Amenity fee
Destination Marketing Fee
Sales Tax
Occupancy/Tourism Tax
Destination Amenity Fee Tax
Parking
Parking State tax

2. Cleaning staff 8:30-9:00 am, very loud in the hall talking about work and what rooms and such they are cleaning next. But very loudly
Not a deal breaker, I still left a tip for them as I respect the job they do and they were all so nice and friendly!!!!

I chose this hotel based on location, price and services/Amenities listed. The hotel is located within walking distance to the falls and has several restaurants attached.
Pros: decent sized rooms, comfortable beds, staff very friendly, 2 water bottles and free coffee in each room, hotel has a Starbucks and an arcade for the kids. Nice large pool area with places for adults to sit while kids swim. Check in and check out was easy.
Cons: hotel is very large and dated. Upon check in I asked about the Rainforest Cafe, which is attached, and was told it was closed and only open weekends. After finding a place to eat dinner elsewhere and arriving back at the hotel that evening , I found out that it was, in fact, open that evening. I was disappointed but decided we would eat lunch there as it said open at 11am, however it was closed that following day. Very confusing and not consistent at all. I understand limited hours because of corona, but it appears not even hotel staff are aware.
The arcade also has inconsistent hours. I purchased 2 playing cards for the kids, but as they were playing a staff approached them and told them to leave because it was closed. The sign on the door said it was open, and the door was wide open. Also, the staff watched me purchase the playing cards and watched the kids playing games for about 10 minutes before telling them it was “closed for cleaning”.
The pool is nice, was a bit crowded. They don’t allow anyone under 18 in the hot tubs- even if you’re with an adult- however, there were a few girls around the age of 15 that were allowed and the male staff working never approached them and told them to leave. Again, very inconsistent hotel policies.
You should also be aware of the hidden charges that will be added to the room. I was charged parking for 2 rooms, although they knew we had only one vehicle. I had to call twice to get this corrected. They’ll also place a hold on each room, which they do say a good will be placed. What they don’t tell you is that the hold is more than you pay for the room itself, and that charge is also inconsistent.
The Falls themselves are beautiful and this hotel served its purpose. We usually stay at the Seneca Niagara, but it has an adult only policy right now. We would stay at Sheraton again if necessary, but if you’re planning to stay based on restaurants, amenities and services provided, make sure you double check to see if things are open and do not rely on hotel staff to know.

We reserved a room with two queen beds for our daughters and my husband and I reserved the Spa Suite. The suite is beautifully done with all the bells and whistles. Only problem is because of COVID, staff was a skeleton crew. There was no one to assist with how to use the sauna. There was an issue with the TV on the wall that was supposed to display a waterfall. The LED lights did not work and there were a few spiders in the web over our bed and in our daughters room. We were handed insect spray to take care of it. We asked the housekeeping manager who was VERY NICE if we could get some type of discount and the manager of the hotel said no. Very disappointed that some of the features of this very expensive room didn’t work. Also, both rooms were charged $20/per day for parking and we only had one vehicle so make sure to check your bill!

We had one night in the Niagra Falls area, so glad we chose this hotel, everyone was friendly, walking distance to Falls, they have a restaurant on site. The pool area is really beautiful. It is one of the few hotels that has their pool open during Covid, you can reserve a time slot at the front desk for the pool and hot tub for social distancing reasons. They came around and cleaned and disinfected the seating when people left.

We used a Groupon deal and it was very well worth it!!! Rooms were very nice, Rain Forest Cafe made a great afternoon snack and the location was very convenient for the tourist attractions like the state park, falls viewing and casino.
Groupon deal included validated parking, free bottle of wine and restaurant coupons.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Only con was not hot tubs or spas still-but that is not anyone's fault

I decided to go to Niagara Falls for a short bday getaway. The staff was professional and courteous!
The rooms were old yet clean. The hot tub was awesome and relaxing.
I would suggest that since housekeeping is not going to clean the room until you leave, please leave extra garbage bags to assist the guest with maintaining the room cleanliness. Guest can also request extra towels and bed sheets.
This Hotel is centrally located within walking distance to the Seneca Casino and Niagara Falls State park/ Maid in the Mist.
I enjoyed the RainForest Cafe, food was fresh and tasty! It’s a great attraction for children bc the animals comes alive every 15mins.
My stay was nice, safe, clean and relaxing!

We stayed one night at the Sheraton to see the falls while on a road trip through western NY. I’m titanium with Marriott and stay at all brands of Marriott, so I have a good frame of reference for the caliber and typical experience at the various hotels. This Sheraton has a good location relative to the falls. Unfortunately, it is worn around the edges. The rooms are a bit beat up. We had recently stayed at a different property where the coffee, towels and toiletries came in plastic sealed bags with tags indicating it was new. There were no such sanitation measures in place at the Sheraton. while the lobby is nice the garbage cans around the hotel overflowed and attracted swarms of bees. I was disturbed to find a large percentage of the other hotel guests Either weren’t wearing masks or wore them around their noses. I saw this all over the lobby and on the floors. I didn’t see any hotel staff ask people to wear their masks appropriately. I would recommend avoiding this hotel of mask wearing is a priority for you.

My family and I thought it would be nice to visit Niagara Falls as a safe, outdoor attraction during Covid. We specifically chose the Sheraton because we thought the more upscale hotel would mean a more thorough clean, and therefore protection against the spread of disease. Imagine my surprise when we arrived to our dirty hotel. Not only was our room clearly unclean - toothpaste on the wall, some gross spray above the toilets, dirty surfaces, crumbs on the floor - but the common areas were filthy as well. It appears this hotel is not taking any extra precautions or abiding by Marriott’s “enhanced cleaning.” Additionally, upon contacting management and submitting the photos below I never received a reply. I’d avoid this hotel like Covid.
