Stayed at the Sheraton Grand Nashville for a concert at Bridgestone Arena last week. Valet and check in staff was friendly, quick check in.
I was on an upper floor and there was only one elevator working so there was a wait each time you went up or down at the hotel.
The Executive Guest room king bed was nice, but the air conditioning clanked each time it came on, so was hard to sleep, since I was there for only one night.
The best part of the stay was the free golf cart shuttle which dropped you off at 501 Commerce convenient to the Ryman, Fifth Street food court, Broadway and Bridgestone arena. Asher the dasher was so friendly, accommodating and took care of getting me closer to the concert and pickup after the show. Finished off the evening with an ice cold beer at the Sky bar.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Emm D.Tamuning, Guam77090Apr 15, 2024
This hotel has potential, BUT here we're out issues: 1) Their parking garage was under construction/currently being renovated. The parking across the street was sketchy and tight and didn't feel comfortable parking my car there so we used the hotel valet. Advertised price was $62, however when we checked out, we ended up paying an addition $17 a day for a "facility fee" and an another $1.50+ for "other sales tax". Don't mind paying for something if I knew what we were paying for, but none of the employees could tell us what is was for.
Always a long wait for the elevator. There was NO fridge in the room and "available" upon request. The ice room on our 3rd floor was out of order. Microwave available on the 14th floor. We checked out and wanted some coffee. Nothing fancy, just regular house coffee, which they had and served at the bar, but was a charge for it. Really? All that we pay for and more, and you couldn't at least give your guests free coffee.
Location is quiet, pillows were soft, that was the only thing I liked. Probably wouldn't stay here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marcus S.Roswell, GA55297Mar 9, 2024
They are currently going under renovations so that is the reasoning for the low rating.
On Saturday the work started in the morning and it's so annoying we couldn't even stand to stay in the room that long.
The parking deck is also under renovation for "safety reasons" so you have to do valet parking at $60 a night or park somewhere else near by.
The room is ok but would prefer two queen beds rather than two full beds. Not sure if they had something else but that's all we could book when we booked.
Short walk to Broadway which is good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 30, 2024
I stayed a few days in a suite which was a good size (room 703 I think), but the bathroom was tiny. The furniture was a little worn and there was a musty order in the room. House keeping service aside from that issue was great. I wouldn't stay here again, but the staff here was very nice and I liked the location, which was away from the loudness of Broadway.
We loved the record players you could check out from the front desk, really great idea.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - John H.Charlotte, NC3243254Apr 14, 2024
The good: location, cool view from the Skye bar. The bad: elevators are ridiculously slow (15 mins to get a ride). The ugly: the front desk staff was the worst I have ever encountered at a Marriott. Terrible attitudes and they gave us the key to a room which had another guest in it, scary.

Nice hotel. Staff were very helpful. It was a short walking distance from broadway but they also offered a ride there if you don't want to or can't walk there. Highly recommend the valet with the in and out privileges.

This is the dumpiest Sheraton. They have rooms where cars in the adjacent parking garage are right outside your hotel window. The whole hotel looked worn and dirty. My room smelled like old cologne and construction noise started at 8 am. The elevators were the worst - at several points none were working. Took scary stairwell to get down a couple of times. So many better options.

Elevators not working most of the time. The safe in my room wouldn't lock. Even if it did all someone would have to do it pick it up and carry it out. The restroom on the 2nd floor for the conference area has no soap, stacks of paper towels and hand sanitizer bottles that were grungy and no lid and you had to pick up the bottle ans pour it. One morning every sink had black crud residue because the pipes had backed up. The elevators were a major issue and waiting for fifteen minutes and climbing ten flights of stairs was not an option. I've stayed at better Motel 6 properties. Marriot should be ashamed.

Excellent hotel from staff to location. It's got a pretty cool open feel. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are nice and newish. The amenities are excellent- gym, rooftop bar, and restaurants. It's close to the action and within an easy 8 minute walk to Printers Alley. This is my second time here. I sought this hotel out this trip because of my prior experience and I was not disappointed.

I originally booked Holston House, but the property was oversold and they sent me here to Sheraton. This is 10 steps below what I paid $450 for! Not only am I farther away from where I paid to be, only two elevators out of 4 are working, and I finally got to my room and the room had not been cleaned and turned over! When I called the front desk, I was questioned like a criminal and making it up! I will NEVER stay at another Marriott, hence why I didn't book the brand to begin with!!!
