    It's Okay
Definitely not what you would expect to see based on all the stuff Mike acquires on the episodes of American Pickers, As reviewers said this is a small museum-type place with a few souvenirs from the show. I bought a $4 magnet. We found the free Automobile factory across the street way more interesting.

    It was nice
It was nice to see Antique Archaeology. It was smaller then I thought it would be. The entire building has many other shops you can go in. There is an open parking lot across the street. The fee to park is $ 10.

    Not what I expected
I stopped at the store and was excited to see what was inside (NOTE: I had a preconceived idea based on the TV show). I was somewhat disappointed. Many of the items are Not For Sale (NFS) and are from personal collections. Also, there is A LOT of Antique Archaeology and Two Lanes brand merchandise strewn throughout the store. It is worth the trip if you just want to take pictures of some cool things and/or buy their brand merchandise (socks, mugs, shirts, stickers...).

We stopped in the LeClaire, Iowa Antique Archeology store just a few days before arriving in Nashville. In our review of the LeClaire shop we discussed that many reviewers are disappointed by the stores because they go there thinking that they are going to see acres of antiques and priced in a range that a regular person could afford. That’s not to say there aren’t some small items you could buy, but you’re not going to walk out of there with an Indian Motorcycle. People also grumble about the swag. First of all, it’s some of the best swag you will ever find; very thoughtful replicas and not very expensive. When you watch the show “American PIckers” on the History Channel you are watching people who are truly experts in their field and you will see by visiting their shops that and seeing items that have not been restored (on purpose). So just arrive at the store happy that you will recognize some of the antiques that were “picked” on the TV show. It’s also important to remember that Mr Wolf was instrumental in the preservation and restoration of the Marathon Automobile Factory which contains the Antique Archeology shop. He has also been associated with other projects in small towns throughout the Midwest and Southern United States. You will feel the experience of “antiquing” even if it’s not your thing (it’s not ours either) and the usefulness of older properties such as the Marathon building. Some people say the Mr Wolf is in the stores, but we spotted him randomly in the Nashville area were he lives. Add this place to your Nashville experience and be prepared to view it more of a museum; you will see some great American pop culture along with useful relics of the past. The parking is free on the street in front of the Marathon Village shops, but it fills up fast. There are large surface lots which were $4.00 for a couple hours. The Marathon Village shops are about a 10 minute drive from the main part of Nashville-Broadway area which makes for an easy side trip.

I am a big fan of the show and I guess I was hoping for a little bit more. We didn't do a tour we just went there because it was a mile from our hotel. Luckily we had gps to take us because it is not marked that well and can be easily missed from the street. It is in a huge building but sits in a small space in between a Distillery and a museum. The store itself is pretty small concidering the amount of stuff they pick but it is what it is. The most confusing part about the store was the set up. There seemed to be that there was about 50/50 between picked items and show merch but it was all intermingled and took a lot more time to look. If they had the show merch separated they would have had a better rating from me.

I passed up a visit to the shop on a previous visit to Nashville because so many reviews said it was "just a souvenir shop". But this time I decided to come. I'd say it's definitely more than a souvenir shop! True, there are t-shirts and such for sale. But there are so many interesting items on display to look at! We found it all very cool to see. I would suggest going early, like right when they open. Street parking was gone, and it was only a few minutes after opening. We did pay to park across the street...one lot was $2 and one was $3. No big deal. Not sure where that other reviewer was where it was $10! Anyway, the staff at the shop this day were really nice and talking to the visitors. The Marathon building has other shops in it as well, and lots and lots of automotive memorabilia, so it's worth a walk-through too. Glad we stopped by.

Having watched every episode of American Pickers since it’s inception, I was excited to finally get to visit the store in Nashville. Walking around I noticed a few items from the show and remembered how much Mike and Frank paid for them! The Mark-Up was at least two-three times what they paid for them. I understand that they have to make money on them but the mark-up was too high for myself and my friends so we walked around and left without purchasing anything. Truly disappointed!!

We were pretty disappointed with the store. There wasn’t much you can actually purchase except touristy trinkets like magnets and t-shirts. The few actual antiques in the store were extremely overpriced. More there for decor than anything. Come on Mike- surely y’all can do better than this for your fans!

Loved seeing items that were from the show. Nice selection of items to buy along with souvenirs. The whole building is filled with shops and historical artifacts and photos. Would love to go back when tours start up again.

We were in Nashville on business and though we love to find the locally owned businesses when we travel, we skipped them one afternoon to go across the city to see this store. It was a disappointment, but it was cool to say we had been there. We picked up some stickers and a magnet, and left because other than coffee cups and Ts, there’s nothing else to purchase.

First off, I absolutely love American Pickers and visiting the store has been on my bucket list for some time. The store was very nice, and I understand completely we are going through a pandemic BUT our experience at the store was completely effected by the attitude of the staff the day of our visit. Upon arriving me and my husband walked around several minutes and for most of the time in the shop other than staff we were the only ones there other than the two staff behind the counter and plexy glass. I pulled my mask down below my nose and spoke to my husband as I was approaching to check out. The staff did instruct me I needed to put my mask on and I did and said we'd been all through Nashville and no one had really said anything. She then said well we can get fined. Her tone was not friendly and it completely ruined our experience during our visit. I will continue to watch the show and hopefully can revisit the store after the pandemic so the experience won't be overshadowed by a mask...

My husband and I were in Nashville celebrating our wedding anniversary. We enjoy “American Pickers” on TV and decided to visit the store. We arrived about noon on 12/31. There were about a dozen people standing outside, looking unhappy. We went in and all we saw were touristy souvenirs, i.e. coasters, can cozies. After the few minutes it took to see the whole room, I asked a clerk who was folding tee shirts if they had any other items. There were some chandeliers and a few items hanging on the walls. We left in under 10 minutes, along with a dozen other people. We were both very disappointed.
