The Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown has been commended for its spotless accommodations and prime location, making it a hit for visitors wanting to explore the city's heart. While the hotel's service staff, from valets to the front desk, generally receive high marks for their professionalism, some guests have faced service inconsistencies. A vibrant atmosphere is a highlight, though noise levels can sometimes intrude on the tranquility of stays. Despite the appreciation for certain amenities, the value proposition is tarnished by unexpected fees and parking costs.

All staff interactions were friendly, helpful, attentive, professional. A bit of a walk to Broadway but the hotel shuttle was readily available and with good drivers. The walk would be enjoyable in season, we were there during a snow storm. Impressive view of the Tennessee State Capital from the 14th floor.

The Downtown Sheraton Nashville is perfectly located to enjoy many of Nashville's major sights and night life. It is centrally located just a few blocks from the main attractions such as the Country Museum Hall of Fame, Schermerhorn Concert Hall . . . and most importantly . . . the "main drags" of Downtown Nashville called "The District" and "Printer's Alley where all the bars and live music are located (primarily between Church & Broadway and 2nd and 5th Avenues).

The best and most memorable music bars we visited were "The Stage," and the famous/historic "Tootsie's Orchid Lounge." The musicians and singers were very professional and technically tight at these two bars. You can tell they don't let just anybody musically perform here (they have to have strong skills). . . nor do they let just any girl be a bar waitress at Tootsie's (something you will readily notice). The back door of Tootsie's is located only a couple of dozen steps from the rear stage door of the Ryman Auditorium, which has led "anyone who is anyone" in the country-western and cross-country worlds of music in the last 50 years to use Tootsie's as their personal "watering hole." While we were in line outside of Tootsie's this past week waiting to get in . . . Kid Rock walked up and was allowed to cut the line and go in ahead of us.

And . . . if you are interested in a "keeper" restaurant in downtown Nashville, try "Moto," which has excellent Italian food. They have real chefs with formal culinary training. And, make SURE you try Moto's Pork Meatballs as either an appetizer or in a Moto pasta entree. They are out-of-this worldly good!!.

As far as the hotel itself is concerned, the Downtown Sheraton Nashville had a great staff and great architecture with a soaring lobby and superb bar. It also had one of the nicest in-room bathrooms that I have ever seen in a hotel. If you don't believe me, check out my attached pictures.

I recommend the Nashville Downtown Sheraton and would stay there again if the opportunity arose to return to Nashville.

You know you are off to a bad start when you check in, the front desk never asked if I was part of their SPC rewards and then hands me the keys with barely any conversation. Having never been at this property before the lobby appears sleek and modern and I heard they just went through a major renovation. When I entered my room I was immediately disappointed that there were 2 double beds not the 1 king I had requested. I immediately and politely called the front desk inquiring to change my room. With my confirmation in hand the attendant over the phone mildly argues that a double is what I had requested. I explain that I have a print out clearly stating otherwise.
Note: I am married with 3 kids and also care for my 90 year old father-trust me a king size bed alone is always my first request!
After friendly banter and realizing I am not going to get what I requested - also note I am paying for 2 rooms as this is a business trip not pleasure. But let's move on.
Elevators slow and insufficient.
Overall not impressed. I hope my trade association picks s better property. Not worth the price.

Stayed at the Sheraton for business. Found the front desk staff, club staff, and bar staff to be attentive and helpful. What is lacking? Although the facility recently went thru a major update and looks attractive in the lobby, the small details that make a stay comfortable are lacking. The fan in my room sounded like a helicopter whenever it turned on, heat was inconsistent. The blue chair in the room was the most uncomfortable chair ever, it is only inches off the floor -it is easier to set in a bean bag. Same with all the low furniture throughout the lobby, all close to the floor and very uncomfortable. Bottom line, balancing the staff, location, and facility inconveniences-such as a fire alarm evacuation at 2 am which meant I had to walk 23 flights of stairs to vacate the building, followed by 3 additional false alarms keeping me up until 5 am, and then a maid knocking on my door at 8 am, I will choose a different hotel next time I travel to nashville.

Great location, very close to where all the action is. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Didn’t see a lot of the hotel because we spent almost all of our time on Broadway! Staff we talked with were all very friendly and helpful.

The Sheraton Grand was a great hotel for my first stay in Nashville! The hotel is absolutely BEAUTIFUL--I love the layout! Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel was in a great location--a close walk to the Music City Center but removed enough from all the noise of Broadway. Champagne for happy hour was a nice treat! The only issue I had was that I requested a fridge, but should have specified a *working* fridge LOL No worries! Left the housekeeper a nice tip and she left me extra water each day. Highly recommend!

Thought this place was great! They have a cool bar down in the lobby and a free shuttle to shuttle you around downtown! I don’t have any real complaints here except for the pillow which I hated. They could jazz up the balcony a bit of each floor to make it feel fresher but I would stay again and would recommend for a decent priced stay in Nashville

Large conference room to accommodate our large team, several smaller areas for breakouts. I would recommend more breakfast choices. The bar atmosphere was great and bartenders very helpful. Check-in was a breeze. Rooms were clean, modern while providing a Nashville theme in the art work. The bathroom was a little tiny, when I tried to do my hair it made me close to the toilet which wasn’t very appealing. I did forget my razor, the front desk provided one and offered shaving cream.

While location is convenient, the hotel leaves much to be desired. Hotels with see through elevators on the inside are so 1980s. The common areas were freezing as there is no proper way to insulate a large open space. Windows in my room were drafty. Not recommended.

Me and my boyfriend had such an amazing time here! The hotel itself- spotless, super cool, and close to so many restaurants and things to do. To start, Atticus checked us in and was so friendly and informative. He was such a great first impression. We found out there is a shuttle from the hotel that runs for 10 blocks. Picks you up, drops you off at other places (in the 10 blocks of course) and lucky for us- EVERYTHING we wanted to visit (minus two places) was located in that 10 blocks. Next things next: The VALET!!! we didn’t even have a car there but their service was unreal. My boyfriend and I both work in the hospitality industry and I for one deal with valet companies on a daily basis. I haven’t seen a single one with that much attention to detail and respect for the building they work for. Every time we even stepped near the door someone was there to hold it. Welcomed us in, sent well wishes every time we left. The guys who work the valet are COOL and professional all at once. Offered some nice suggestions on places to eat. They meet you at the curb every time it’s like clockwork. So impressed at how they make you feel so important and valued as a customer. I also want Sheraton to recognize one individual and particular: MIKE!!!! he drove the shuttle for us and works for the valet company. Let me tell you one thing... that man needs to be hired and promoted and a plaque needs to be put in the lobby. We adored him. He was such a great face for the company even though he doesn’t work directly for them. He was great for a laugh. His rides were so much fun, we looked forward to the shuttle just as much as we did the locations we were going. He is the reason I wanted to write this review. MIKE!! if you see this, your favorite couple from Jersey wishes you all the best. You made our trip!!!!!!

There is also a golf cart from that hotel that takes you to the popular places downtown and back, a nice feature from noon to midnight for some. Reservations required.
