Very pretty, however they don't pay their vendors. Management is questionable and even with signed agreements, no payment made to licensed vendors in over 100 days of past due invoices

An absolutely beautiful place and venue for events. The main building is stunning, Craftsman style; and very well maintained with incredible views of the golf course and countryside beyond.
And they have lots of parking! Anyone from San Francisco would kiss the asphalt and click their heels to see the size of the lot!
Everything about the club is comfortable, well designed and spacious. The outdoor deck is delightful for sipping a drink and/or just standing over some congenial conversation.
The dinner I had here was very good, large well prepared salad to start and dressed well. I had fish that was extremely tasty and perfectly cooked, tender and moist. The sides were delicious.
Good wines and the only misstep was the server never asked if we wanted coffee with dessert. The dessert came and the server disappeared.
Overall this is a very enjoyable place to spend an afternoon or evening and feeling quite content.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason F.Woodside, CA08Oct 8, 2021
Great course! Not too technical but has some good holes and is well groomed and maintained. Very nice setting and great local place to hit some balls.

The buildings are all nice but what does that all help when the employees are arrogant - not what you would expect.

I've been meaning to do this for a while. My grandparents were members for this club for decades. We had my grandma's funeral reception here and then we had my grandpa's funeral reception earlier this year. The line for the bathroom by the ballroom we rented for said reception was long so I walked down the hall to use the other one we always used in the past but I was denied by a very rude employee. I get that we were no longer members since my grandpa died but considering he was a member for years and years and we were in the middle of his funeral reception they could have made an exception. Talk about a slap in the face.

Really beautiful golf course, with really nice staff. Expensive, but if you're considering joining, you already know this. I only had the chance to check it out because I was there with a group of patients/veterans from the VA hospital and they had some pros work with our guys in a volunteer capacity on their Monday off.

The course itself is wonderful but the members of Sharon Heights are not the most warm welcoming people. I think it goes for almost all private courses. The caddies are friendly and some of them are just young college students who don't know much about golf... but overall, pretty good course. Nice fairways, well kept.

I played Sharon Heights Golf Club today for the first time and really enjoyed myself doing so. The course is off of Sand Hill Road and 280 in Palo Alto, you can see bits and pieces of it just off the freeway if you look closely. As you pull up, you get a view of the beautiful clubhouse which looks like it was built pretty recently. This is a private course, and it is home to many of Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Atherton's wealthiest.
I smacked a few balls at the range, and putted on their practice green. Sharon Heights is a hilly course that is loaded with tall trees - and it's most difficult feature is that it plays extremely narrow. The scorecard reads a 130 slope from the blue tees, which I thought was a tad less than it should be. The greens were recently punched, so I couldn't really get an idea how slick they could be. But I will say the greens were all well guarded by neighboring bunkers and approach shots were a little bit tricky. I hit the ball pretty straight, limited my terrible shots to just a couple, but never converted the big stroke saving shots I needed to really score well.
All in all, like most other private clubs - this course gets a 5-star rating. It was in great shape and was tricky but fun. If you ever get invited to play there, jump all over it!!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
