China Business Overview

Shanghai Commercial Bank established its Shenzhen representative office back in 1999. This became the Bank’s first branch in mainland China in September 2004 and served as the foundation of our service in China. China business has since become integral to our development, and we have cemented our status as one of the leading providers of cross-border RMB services.

Following the opening of the Shanghai FTZ Sub-Branch in February 2015, the Bank is set to expand our presence in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. We are committed to expanding our service scope and network in China, in order to serve the financial and banking needs of local and Greater China customers.

Having formed a strategic alliance with Bank of Shanghai#on the Mainland and The Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank^in Taiwan, the Bank strives to maintain a steady growth and explore new opportunities, in the hope of offering diverse product options and quality banking and financial services to Mainland customers.

^ The Shanghai Commercial & Saving's Bank Limited is a banking institution registered in Taiwan, and has one branch in Hong Kong.
