The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and have exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM EDT for northern and central Virginia. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. Virginia Beach, Elizabeth City, Hertford, Winfall, Sunbury, Kempsville, Ryland, Downtown Norfolk, Regent University, Great Bridge, Downtown Suffolk, South Mills, Deep Creek, Downtown Portsmouth, Churchland, Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Suffolk. If you see lightning or hear thunder, you are at risk! Take shelter indoors immediately. If you cannot find shelter in a building a vehicle provides safety from lightning. Strong wind gusts are possible with this storm. These wind gusts are capable of knocking down tree limbs, small or weakened trees, and blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture, and other light outdoor objects.
