Need help identifying a movie that you just can't remember the name of? Here's the place to ask.

as much as i hate to admit...
there was a movie back in the 80s that i would like to see fully... and i could not hone to it for years...
BUT here's what i can remember ----
- probably during the 2nd half or late 80s
- there's a boy and this homeless man – not related to each other
- something Messiah-like story
- and the most important of all was the movie title – it was an ANAGRAM... NOT really an English word BUt once you arranged the letters or reversed it – it becomes a normal English word or words or something that we know of...

I've got one that I'd love to know what it is.
The main plot of the story is that terrorists hijack a plane.
I can't remember all the details, however some of the main features are:
1. That a stealth plane docks onto the underside of the hijacked jet. People then unload from the stealth plane and board the hijacked aircraft. Their objective is to then disable a bomb that is on the plane. They find the bomb, but the first one is a fake, the real one is further in and protected by red lasers.
2. In one scene before the us Air force is about to destroy the hijacked plane, one of the pilots notices that the tail lights are flashing in Morse code, they then decide not to blow the plane up, and give it more time.
3. I think it then goes on to them landing the hijacked plane at an airport, but the two pilots are dead, so the main character must then land the plane. He then spies an airstrip that he is familiar with, so he aims for that. As he lands he wipes out about 50 small aircraft.
4. In the end everyone jumps out of the plane and all is swell again.
Can anyone please tell me the name of this film? It's been on TV a couple of times, but many years ago.

I saw it on SBS a while ago, sometime last year probably.
From what I remember, it was in French. A French girl (early 20s) was working in Japan. She struggled with the language, to come to terms with Japanese customs and working conditions, and ended up doing strange things like sleeping in the office. She had poor relationships with her bosses except the CEO, who seemed to 'accept' her.
It was a brilliant movie. A really simple plot but very moving and acting was great from what I remember. Sorry for such a vague description, I'd love to watch it again but no idea what it was called.

This one is probably a bit more difficult.
I have seen this on German TV in the end 70's or early 80's .
Story is about a woman having an car accident in bad weather where she dies – the story continues with her being in a twilight reality where she lives on.
Similar to Beetlejuce /The 6th Sense/ The Others.

I think it might have been in England and they were digging a tunnel and found a "Space ship" buried there. I remember dream sequences of the alien "Grasshoppers" hundreds of them hopping along, might have been a war.. not sure. It's a very long time since I saw it, racking the old brain for memories!!
I think that the people who found the ship sort of got mental picture of this "War"

A long time ago (probably 30 years) I saw a movie on TV that involved ants. I had fallen asleep on the couch and woke up half-way through and wanted to see it in it's entirety.
On and off for 30 years I had tried to find the name of this move but had been unsuccessful, nor had I ever seen it on TV again (not that I would have recognised the name in the TV guide as I didn't know it).

I've been trying to find the name of an Australian movie I saw a long time ago. I believe it was an 80s movie.
Plot points:
- Group of women (4 I think) come up with a plan for a robbery
- Plan involves using scuba gear to swim to an island(resort or something?)
- One of the women is a hypnotherapist and uses one of her male patients to make voice recordings which they playback to security guards during the robbery, to make them think its a group of men. They have some kind of setup with speakers in their scuba masks (which they never take off during the robbery)
- They put the money in garbage bags, and at the end the bags are mistakenly taken to the garbage dump. I think the movie ends with the women searching through the garbage dump and finding the money.
Does anyone know what this movie might have been called?

Trying to find the name of a movie from a few years back...
The story is told by one of two brothers, in front of a handycam with flashbacks of how they were involved and what happened leading up to the present moment.
This is what I can remember from the plot:
- Two brothers mother suffers from severe Alzheimer's disease.
- Brothers invent a drug that either increases peoples overall happiness or reduces aggression (cannot recall which).
- Drug is spread through rain clouds, added to water supplies.
- People begin to start suffering of dementia and Alzheimer's all over the world, cause is found to be this "magical" drug.
- Towards the end of the movie, one of the brothers asks the other to kill him with a fatal dose of their drug. This leads to the storyteller to begin and is essentially bringing the movie to the present moment.
- Brother telling the story also injects himself with fatal dose of the drug, committing suicide in front of the camera.
End of movie!
If someone knows the name of the movie I will be over the moon :)

I hope someone can tell me the name of this really bad Sci-Fi movie from (I think) the early to mid 90's. I've spent ages on IMDB and google but it's probably one of those forgotten films no one cares enough to write about.
It was about a scientist that worked in a lab researching time travel. He has a wife in his time.
He does an experiment and then comes back to his now except his timeline has changed and there's been a nuclear war. All of the people he knows are now soldiers fighting a "skynet" type robot army.
I only remember a few scenes:
He gets up in the middle of the night during a thunderstorm and tells his wife to look at the lightning. As he's looking at her she winks out of existence (dream sequence I think).
The soldiers need to get into the lab (which is partially destroyed), and need the code. The security system locks them in and starts a countdown to release poison gas, so they need to use a palmtop computer to crack the code. The scientist punches in his code which unlocks the door with seconds to spare. One of the soldiers looks at the corpse of someone who came before and shouts "motherf%$^ shoulda had the code!"
There's a big discussion where the scientist asks his boss (who's a general in the alernate timeline) if everything seems "normal" to him.
One of the soldiers gets physical with his "wife" and he stands up to him saying "if you ever touch my wife again...". The chick looks at him like – WTF?
Really enjoyed it when I first saw it – probably really lame now but would like to see it again in any case.
Someone is robbing a bank (possibly jewelery store or similar), and has hostages. The police negotiator comes & he hands him something, turns out to be an ear or finger or something wrapped up. The robber knows the police procedures and thats all i can remeber.
I thought it might be the negotiator with samuel l jackson, but its not.
Anyone recognize this film?

My friend only gave me a vague description of the plot and a scene from the movie.
In the movie, there's a high status couple set in (feudal?) Japan. The guy has some chick penpal, and eventually falls in love with her. Of course, she doesn't like this and sleeps with some guy out of spite (i'm not sure about this last thing actually. can't remember if my friend was describing another movie or something :S). Anyway, that guy went to visit the penpal and yeah. I don't remember what happened after that.
There's also another scene(s) in the movie that involves a guy (possibly the same guy, not sure), that's also of high status. Anyway, he asks this poorer girl to come over to his place so he can help her write something or something. When she does come over, he tells her to bring in her shoes so that no one knows that she's there. The guy tells the chick what to write (he's at a table), and the chick's on the floor writing, belly down. Apparently she's swinging her knees up and down like people usually do, and her kimono fell to her knees. Then the guy slowly undresses her kimono, still telling her what to write, and yada yada.

I remember seeing something like this on SBS. Basic plotline was very similar to Dangerous Liaisons, where the high status guy was a scholar, poet and infamous seducer, who was after the virtuous girl/penpal. He goes after her as a challenge and is extremely tenacious, but eventually falls for her.
The poorer girl was her maid (since he couldn't get to her mistress directly) and he was helping her write love letters to another guy (may have been an accomplice, but can't remember) and eventually had enough blackmail material to seduce her as well. I'm sure it was the same movie you're talking about, but I can't remember the name. Maybe someone else can help after seeing some additional clues...

The description is unclear but given the film is set in feudal Japan and features class/status – then director Kenji Mizoguchi would be a good place to start as he often featured women and class in his films.

okay... saw this movie when i would have been 15 or 16, so 10 years ago. my friends and i hired it from the video store so i have no idea whan it would have been made.
was a horror movie starring a girl with brown hair, and it was REALLY bad quality, like it had been made by students really dodgy.
the scene that stands out is where this crazy lady tortures the girl by tying her hands above the ceiling and tying a rat to her body inside a pot and heating the pot up till the rat starts trying to eat her stomach.
there is also a dodgy scene where she's walking past a baseball field and appears to be talking to the cameraman!
sorry for the sketchy detials but we've been racking our brains for years as we were quite wasted when we watched it and none of us can remember!

The main plot is loosely stated as "a guy has this 'vision' of these baseball players and they ask him to build a pitch at his farm, which he does. They then play there final game and disappear into the field again."
It was loosely referenced in the movie Wrongfully Accused.

i watched a movie on SBS.. i tihnk it was about a boy who lives in the spanish civil war period.... he goes outside their house.... comes back later to see his family dead because of a bomb... only his brother survives.... they hide in a dump bin.... the brother tells the the little boy to wait inside.... a few seconds later he hears gun shots and never sees his big brother again. The boy is accompanied by a "bird" i think i cant remember.. but it can talk.... and the boy leaves the country and meets with his grandparents... i think...not sure... and yeah thats about it... I watch this movie on 4 od a while ago and wish to recommend it to a friend.
However I have forgotton the name, but I do remember the plot.
It is a british film about a young girl, set around the 1970s.
She is objected to child abuse by her mother, step father, mothers friends, father and a social worker.
At the start of the film she lives with her mother and is regularly pimped out by her father to lorry drivers etc.
As the film progresses, a teacher notices the child is being abused and she is put into care.
However she falls into a bad crowd at the care home and becomes a prostitute. She is then abused by a male social worker at the house.
The girl uses the money she earns from prostitution, to run away from her present care home to one that resides at the seaside, which she offers to pay for with her own money.
The end scene is of the girl living at the seaside home. She starts crying for the first time in the film and is hugged by the women who runs the home.

Hi,I have one as well..last time i saw it was around early-mid 80s' but was prob made in 60-70s'.
only part i remember was some wino in a us city, had he's ear down on the pavement claiming frantically that he could hear people/machines tunneling underground, only to be dismissed as a crazy bum...
Turned out it was the chinese military planning a surprise attack on the us. far fetched of course,but i wouldn't mind seeing it again.

This is also from a movie i saw on SBS AGES ago, and i only just somehow started to remember bits of it again and im dieing to find out what it is. It is a foreign movie from memory.
Heres what i remember
-A female is the main character
-Its set in some sort of modern/futuristic setting, never any sunshine, always dark, drabby and dull and theres lots of huge buildings.
-She is involved in a very large virtual reality game that ALOT of people play, you basically sit in a chair, wear the VR thingo and you go into a world where your aim is to kill other people, gain money, buy weapons, kill more people, then you get money in real life from playing that game. She is very skilled at it.
-Thats all she does, she wakes up, plays the game all day, goes home to her small shack of some sort, sleeps, repeat.
-Till something happens in game and it connects somehow with reality.
-I think i remember a scene where she had an svd sniper or something, then she got pinned down by another sniper and she was hiding against/under some kind of brick wall of some sort and was trying to figure out where it was coming from, then she tried to make out what kind of ammo the opponent was using bla bla.
So thats all i've got pretty much, if anyone can help that would be great.

I am looking for a movie from the 50's or 60's that my wife saw as a child. Do not know the name of it only a brief description of what it is about. There is an old man and a dog and a little rich girl wants this dog because he does tricks but the old man will not part with the dog. Eventually, the old man dies and the little girl ends up with the dog. But the dog is unhappy and does nothing for the girl. Eventually, the dog dies and goes up a staircase to heaven where he is reunited with the old man. Any help with this or any clues as to an actor or movie title would be appreciated.

Saw this movie in the early 80's. All I remember is:
This good looking girl is waken up with a shot to discover that she is under the surface of the planet and that she was asleep for like 50 years and now the war is over? I think there is a guy there somewhere and sooner or later then make it to the surface of the earth and find everything gone but at least the sun is still shining.

It was about a boy who was out of school because the country was at war so he'd go around with other boys his age and do what they call smash things up, his teenage sister that was dating and having sex with a guy that was in the service without her mothers approval, their father who was in the war and made it home and bought cans of jam with him for the kids.
I know that's not a lot but it's all I can remember, it was a movie made in the 80's and it was a pretty good movie. If anyone has any idea what movie referring to PLEASE help me out

I've seen this movie at least 6 times on the ABC, esp. late at night. Except I always ALWAYS start watching it just a few minutes too late, and I miss the movie title!
Old, Black and White, English. Set in / near a village where the whole population of the village have the surname "Bucket", except different groups pronounce it differently – some say 'bucket', some french it up and say 'boo-kay', some snoot it up and say 'bee-yew-kett', etc etc. V funny.
Up the road from the village is the local castle or manor. The lord of the manor pretends to be a tour guide and conducts tours for tourists because it's the great depression and they're absolutely flat broke and need the cash. The reason tourists are interested in coming to the castle is because its rumoured to be haunted.
Turns out it is haunted. The ghost is hilarious, and in period dress. There's a journalist or something, who falls in love with the lord's daughter. The same actor who plays the lord also plays the ghost. I think they try to help the ghost RIP.
It's a really funny movie – a little joke is made every 30 seconds – the old butler is v funny, as he does this funny little waggley jog around the mansion. V endearing. I have taped most of it, but it's really bugging me that I don't know the name of the movie so I can look for it in the TV guide and plan to tape the whole thing – savvy?

I watched the beginning of a movie last year on t.v but fell asleep not long into it. I'd like to watch the rest of it but no one i speak to knows what i'm talking about. I don't know about the entire movie but the start of it was based in a war zone probably around late 90's or later it was on a base with American soliders or marines? and a female (non milatary) came in. I think she was a pop star or an actress who was brought in to entertain the troops. There was a guy maybe a private who was allocated to look after her (he may of been black.) She had a tattoo of Medusa on her side (wasit/thigh) area. At one point she was caught fratenising with a solider/marine. She seemed like a real handful of a girl? Sorry I have so little memory of this movie. It is a 50's horror flick (B&W) that takes place in a house with a mad scientist conducting experiments on women (It's not "The Unearthly" though it has a similar feel). The key thing about these experiments is that the women are placed in these big metal, square bathtubs (for what purpose, I forget). Very low budget.

Why do all these movies sound so familiar? And yet, i cant recall the name of the films.
Hi all, I have one I've been trying to find for ages. I can't remember a lot, but what I can is:
1. Must be set in the late 70s or early 80s, in australia – either western Sydney or the Melbourne equivalent.
2. Characters are pretty trashy – 12 year old kids drinking, having sex on railway tracks.
3. One quote I remember was pretty bad, and was about a 12 yr old having to go 'second' after an older kid.
4. The soundtrack iirc had a lot of ac/dc, rose tattoo etc.
I was probably 10 or so when I saw this, and was with uptight relatives which made it rather uncomfortable to watch (think they didn't want to draw more attn to it by turning it off:))

It sounds like a scene that was in The Whole Ten Yards, when Jimmy,Oz and Jill are in the diner, and the guy in the next booth starts dressing down the Waitress, and then Jimmy slams the guys head into his meal and tells the guy's kid never to mistreat Waitresses.
This is also a common scene in a lot of other films though.

I am trying to recall the name of an American road movie from the late 90s...
I only remember one scene clearly... a psycho girl who worked at a small town Diner, bursts in on her ex-boyfriend having sex with another waitress from the Diner who is on top riding the guy. Psycho girl has a shotgun and shoots the waitress in the back just as she's about to climax. Kinda violent, and I don't remember what happened next... I just remember that scene was quite shocking and unexpected.

All I remember from the film is this, there is a monster and it's on the Submarine / ship thing, and the lower portion of the ship/sub is flooded and some dude goes into a giant underwater metallic suit thing to investigate whats causing the flood of the ship, the guy starts screaming and they pull him out of the porthole part where he went underwater and his lower portion of his suit is now missing including his legs, and blood is pouring out.

Well those are made after the time I specified, it is definitely not Deep Blue Sea as everyone has seen that including me.
Sphere is most definitely not it unless it has some sort of monster that looks similar to an alien from the alien series except a lot beefier and no tail.

After no luck with either google, imdb & even wiki i figured i'd try my luck here.
After the name of a French movie, which i saw around 2006/2007 from memory. Not sure of the exact plot but it was a drama involving two brothers, one who has a family (i think) and one who sleeps around with several women. They're parents are divorced as well.
One scene (i'm fairly sure this is from the same movie unless im TOTALLY mistaken) is of the father or perhaps one of the brothers isolating himself in his bedroom due to some tragic event.
As you can see i only remember random bits & pieces of it which doesn't help much.

SURREAL MEDIEVAL COMEDY on SBS "Cult Movie."
(I am posting for someone else, unsolved for years.)
I saw this film on SBS Australian TV on "the cult movie" when it used to be on Saturday nights.
European movie NON ENGLISH, subtitled in English. I don't know what language they were speaking.
The movie starts with an armour-wearing knight/warrior arriving in a small village in the hills. Wounded on horseback, barely conscious, he is taken in, given what medical attention is available, fed etc, and they nurse him back to health.
Here in the movie there is a love interest that develops between the knight/warrior and a young village girl with long red hair.
This small village of farmers is being raided/attacked by the neighbouring village barbarian/Viking type of mean guys armed with swords, axes etc, mostly wearing rustic style armour. They steal sheep and the like.
The enemy/bad neighbouring village has been tormenting the villages around for ages but no one had the guts to stand up to them due to the bad guys being really big and well trained with superior weapons. All the villagers have are picks, shovels, farming tools etc.
The now healed knight/warrior (suit of armour, big sword and all) leads the villagers to battle, convincing them that standing up to their enemy is the only way to stop them harassing them
They are defeated in the first attempt, but upon being rallied by the knight/warrior they fight harder, forget their nerves, and win the day with a quite funny battle scene.
(I remember one part in the final battle scene where a bad guy appears to have his head chopped off, only to have his head pop back up from inside his armour. Then he grins evilly before he gets killed.)

i was watching (part of) a good movie but did not get the name. It is this american guy (succesful doctor) who realizes he has blood cancer and is told he is adopted from Britain. ok, i should have spoken up and asked – but i didn't!!
i was on the train going home last night and while i was standing, noticed a guy with his laptop a few seats over watching something that i thought i wouldn't mind seeing ... well, at least finding more out about anyways.
it was this movie – at least i hope it was a movie and not a mini-series or something!?!?! – that had this blue man in it that i think was energy personified or something perhaps. he seemed to have a deep and meaningful with a chick at one stage and then at another he became giant like and scooped his hand down into a room with 2 guys who i think were having a face off of sorts!?!?
there were a bunch of other scenes where the guys looked like to be necromongers from 'chronicles of riddick'.
oh oh, and one scene where in the middle of a city some ball of energy contracts and then explodes outward shattering buildings and particularly 2 guys (one a definitely older gentleman) who were just watching this phenomenon, dumbfoundedly!
there is also – i think – one scene that makes it look as though the movie is all happening within a wrist-watch!?!? because there is this whole panning out, i think it happens right after the energy ball above, where everything just keeps zooming out and then the camera comes out of this wrist-watch and you are then in a military-like war room with guys all around a table.
i think thats pretty much the scenes i saw, it did look alright on the way home!?!?! but oh well, we'll see how things go.

I'm trying to track down a movie.... I remember watching this when I was about 7yo (1969)
I don;t remember the title (obviously) nor who starred in it.
What I do remember is:
The movie was made in the USA around late 50's
It had child actors in it
It was one of those science fiction – horror movies.
What I remember of the story line is this.... a kid finds a black rock and takes it home. I think when he washes it it starts to activate and expand into a black crystal tower... it grows pretty high and then when it collapses it crumbles...when any piece falls into any body of water (puddle, pool, river etc etc) the process starts again but the problem becomes exponentially worse... pretty soon it's an impending national disaster...
I've tried looking for it for ages in google.... I'm starting to kinda hope this just wasn't a wild dream.
Time to start getting the word out and hopefully it'll jog some memory with someone else.

Need help with finding what this movie is called.
It's very simliar to the da vinci code, I think it was released this year or last year. I saw about 20 mins of the film and it was dubbed in english but was a german or french movie. THe movie had good production values so I'd assume it was a big blockbuster type movie overseas.
The basic plot invovles a conspiracy against the church. A Group of religious fanatics have waged war against the catholic church. Some cardinal tried to kill the pope but he survived and there was something about a biochemical weapon as well.
There were 2 main characters a guy and a girl. The girl was trying to find some secret key or something with a secret message hidden in the bible and vatican archives. She looked a lot like Angelina Jolie if that helps.
I thought it was called Bible Code or something i've googled high and low and can't seem to find the movie.
And the film is not Angels and Demons.

There was also an American Remake, starring Bridgette Fonda wich might explain why you are thinking of her, called Point of No Return (1993)

Hi, in need to find out the title of this movie from the 1990's when i was small and saw it on tv.
All i can recall was a scene where there was a mum and dad fighting, the kid runs away in this foggy scenery where she then finds a dead ballerina hanged (in red shoes? not so sure about this though) . I think the title of the movie in french was like red something. Im sure it was some horror flick though but yeah, hope someone has seen this. But it does have something to do with a ballerina though..

I'm looking for a film. Can only remember the end from when I was a young tacker. I would have seen it probably late 80's but it could have been made any time before then.
It ended with 2 people in waist deep water in a basement (maybe) who hug and commit suicide (by shooting one another). They did so because the place was being stormed and they were going to be tortured. May have been by Nazi's but I'm not sure. I vaguely recall a scene of a grenade being thrown into a stairwell also.

- Sci-fi space movie, i think it was called "space pod", but did a search on imdb and google -> no hits.
Summary:
- Everyone in a big space ship, but then someone sets off a bomb. People try and escape but only a few people able to get to a "space pod" and escape from the main space ship before it explodes.
- Along with about 6-7 people a blind man and prisoner was able to escape to the pod, so the survivors suspect the prisoner was the one who planted the bomb.
- Air starts running out, and some people on the pod are randomly murdered.
- During an amputation a light is shone onto the blind man by accident and he looks away. Someone see's this and finds out he was the one who planted the bomb on the mothership and also killing people on the pod.
I thought it was a really cool movie when i was 10. Anyone know what it is?

Yeah I really liked this move when it was first aired on TV, I watched it again not long ago, and Whilst it is still pretty good, don;t expect reality to match your memory.

Really long coffee order movie.
I recall a long time ago, I saw a movie where a guy ordered a coffee and he spent the next minute giving is order to the waitress. It was very funny.
A quick google revealed it might have been Steve Martin in LA story , however I thought the order was actually longer than that.
Does anyone remember and can anyone point me to where a short clip is of it, as I would like to use it in a small in class lesson.

To be honest, LA Story was the first thing that came to my mind as well.
Unlese you're 100% sure that it was only one person ordering, that scene is the standout candidate.

I watched this movie about 6 months ago (i believe) on SBS. I think it was made in the 1940's, black and white.

Anyway she grows up and almost marries this other guy but goes back to her childhood house and eventually meets up with this guy.
My memory is really fuzzy but i really enjoyed watching this movie and want to see it again.
There was a scene where all the children were outside beating rugs, and she worked in a clothes store as a young woman (i think) where she tried on clothes. I think she modelled them for the customers.
I believe the title was quite long.
I wish i could remember more, i even went on the IMDB page after i watched it but ive forgotten all the info.
EDIT: I just remembered more. I think she did marry the rich man. She lived for years with him and had a son. One scene in particular was when she and her husband go to the opera, she wore a white fluffy coat and sat and talked with her son before leaving. I think she then leaves to meet the man she fell in love with as a child.

i have 2 movies,
The first one is about this band trying to get signed, and this guy becomes their manager and gets them on the radio and they start playing gigs. But after a while the radio cant play them anymore because they are not signed to a record label and their manager is no longer keeping contact with them. One of the members has a drug addiction and is trying to recover when the manager goes and visits him and gives some drugs and causes him to overdose. I think one of the songs the band was called "its a sham"

Saw this movie on TV probably something like 10 years ago (and even then, in a Saturday matinee timeslot). From what I recall vaguely, it was about an airliner, probably set around the 1970s or 1980s, which had some sort of navigation fault and could not find its way to an airport whilst over the ocean. Luckily for them, a small single prop plane happened to fly nearby and with some good fortune, led the way for the airliner (or something of that sort). The end seen ends up in a circus or stage production with the main character and his foe running around the top gantries. THe main villian strung wire connected to grenades across the gantry.

Basic plot is that the prisons are getting overpopulated so in a bid to reduce the number of prisoners in the jails, someone (don't know if it's the government or a TV show) gives the death row prisoners a chance at survival by letting them lose in the city. They must kill each other and the last one standing gets their freedom.
I know there's several of these plots around but it's not the one with the WWE stars and the island setup. They are literally in the city amongst citizens.
I can't remember if in the movie this idea was created as a TV show or literally just to diminish the number of prisoners.

Hi, the film was pretty depraved, I'm actually looking for the name of the director as I understand he made a series of films, but the name of the film will help.
Basically, in the beginning, a man and a woman are coming home from some dinner and she is yelling and swearing at him. They're in a car accident and the woman is totally paralised and wheelchair bound, cannot talk or move at all. We are introduced to her carer who seems like a nice enough guy, until he begins to simulate oral sex with her while she soils herself.
Thats all I remember, and I know it sounds utterly vile (and it is), but if anyone knows the name of the movie or director it would be awesome.

I watched this movie years ago, its probably 90's or very early 2k's. About a guy who joins a huge software company, which is supposed to be the representation of microsoft fit with all-powerful boss, and there is some huge conspiracy which he uncovers and they end up after him. I cant remember much of it; it was a long time ago I watched it.
Also for some reason I remember the protagonist is allergic to sesame seeds, and there is some thing to do with this company even hiring his girlfriend who (as he finds) has a stash of sesame seeds stored away.

I watched a small part of this movie almost 10 or so years ago. Anyway, it was like a science fiction, maybe borderline horror movie. Their was a group of survivors running from something or someone. From a distance, the survivors could make out a noise as these 'things' got closer to them in which a survivor used the term "it rattled like milk", or something vaguely similar. I distinctly remember the term milk being used when referring to that scene.
That's all i can remember from it. I never actually got to see what these "things" were as yeah, i only watched a small bit of the movie.
This has been bugging me for ages. So yeah, hopefully i wasn't dreaming it and hoping you guys can help me out.

I was describing the sequel, but the 1st movie is essentially the same thing, but a car instead of a bus or something similar.

This one's been bugging the wife and I for yonks.
It was all about the old monster movie cliches and how they were actually real. Things really worked like in the movies, and there was one old guy who knew what was going on.
There was one scene near the end when they were all relaxed because the bad guy was dead. The old guy lifted his hand. "Listen!" <silence> "He's not dead. The cops always show up just after the bad guy dies, and there aren't any cop sirens coming. He's still alive!"

I saw this movie about ten years ago on SBS. It was a european film, I'm not sure where from exactly. But the reason I found this site is because I was searching on google for it. And there is a similar post, but it was looking for a different film.
Anyway, the film is about a Reality style TV show with UFC style cage fighting in a prison, where the prisoners must fight to the death. I guess you could say it's kind of like the running man, only that prisoners fight other prisoners. And then the fights are broadcast on TV. The story follows one of those characters in particular, and his personal realisations throughout the film about life, death and killing.
I never saw the whole film and never got the name of it. I've been looking for it the last few years unsuccessfully. Your help would be very appreciated.

All I remember is the ending:
the king is cornered in an open field with bodies of water around him, he gets off of his loyal horse and sets him free, and charges into the enemy and dies. Once the king is dead, his freed horse, jumps into the water and commits suicide out of loyalty.

I was in college today when I heard Starship – Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now on the radio. I instantly remembered a film I saw years ago when I was a kid (ok so about 10-15ish years ago...) and I can't remember the name of it.
I hope I'm not too vague but here's what I can remember-
. The opening song is nothing's gonna stop us now but I don't think it was Starship's version. It never had the chorus in it, just the bridge.
. I'm not too sure whether it was a Disney film
. The 'good guys' live in a forest, although I can't remember whether they lived in little huts or the trees.

The movie is about a skinny blonde girl who is a stripper/dancer that is hired by a frat house, and befriended by one of the guys there. I seem to think that she tries to rip them off and almost gets caught. She meets a guy at the party who follows her, and they seem to become friends. It is set in a city, where she has her own place. She takes the guy to her place, and they go on dates or hang around her place for a weekend or so. At the end, she drives off somewhere, without the guy. It had monsters in it or at least they looked like it. It kinda reminded me of "Tales of the Dark Crystal" and a bit of "Never Ending Story" it was perhaps aimed at a more mature audience though. A bit like "Dinotopia", "Legend of the seeker" and "LOTR" not so epic as "LOTR" though.
The lead character seemed not from either world. Perhaps he was stuck there some how. He could travel between both worlds there was a gateway. One of the worlds had a council and a big castle / keep. I think the worlds were fighting or there was about to be a war, political intrigue kinda thing.
I originally thought the lead actor was a younger Neal McDonough but not so sure now it might have been someone with a white hair/complexion like his.

Ok, hopefully some of you know which movie I'm looking for. This is what I remember of it, and while unlikely, it might be contaminated with elements from other movies. I don't remember when I watch it, probably 10 years ago or something & it was on TV, so might be a TV only movie too. It might also be one of that based on a real event movie.
It's about a family that are generational teacher at a primary school. However, one day a member of that family is accused of molesting his student. It's kinda blurry after this point but I remember that it hits the news and the government is under pressure to convict, especially as with the investigations, the number of children that confess to be molested increases by the day, and not just by the guy that originally accused, but his family members that are also teachers.
The evidence are poor & unreliable as the woman who interviews these children use techniques that are incorrect (she also kinda made up the stories herself and present it to the children until they say "yes"). Investigator wants to stop as nothing can be proven but public pressure wins.
In the end, the guy is still convicted but was released soon after (appeal maybe? No idea how he got released), but he never regain his teaching license. Oh, and people still call them "rapist" etc. in the end even after they are proven not guilty

I watched a movie when I was younger but had given up on finding out what it was called. Maybe you guys can help?
I would have watched it in the early 80's. I think the movie was from then or the mid to late 70's.
It was a comedy (romantic?) I think.
The plot as I remember it:
A man lives with his (10-12 year old?) daughter in an apartment. I remember the daughter being really mature and doing the books for her father and looking after him, eg cooking, in general. The father is unemployed. They go to the social security office. At the head of the line a lady gets into a commotion with the staff. She lives on a farm and has brought chickens with her that escape and run around. I think she is trying to save her farm. I can't remember anything after that. I guess the man and woman get together after some rom-com hijinks and live happily ever after.

Girl is telling a story, which in the end turns out to be a comic book she is drawing.
In it she goes to Japan looking for her lost friend (pen pal?) She works as company for guys there and finds out that her friend is held captive somewhere and forced to work as a prostitute.

The Car – 1977
It's not really a bad movie, just it is full of 1970s cheese. Mainly the clothes that people are wearing and all.
I think this came out before John Carpenter did Christine and it's the story of this big black car with no driver that hunts people down, and in one or two memorable scenes it jumps into the air and through the lounge room of this woman that taunted it in a cemetry squishing her flat, though you don't see the squishy bit...
And the other the hero of the film is in his garage and the next moment he turns around and somehow the car is in there with him. That was about the only really suspenseful scene in the whole 90 od minutes of this..

No idea about this one.. I think it came out in around 2007 or 2008.
At the moment I only remember some certain scenes and themes.
IIRC.. It's centered around drugs (supplying e.t.c.)
There is a scene where some dudes get shotgunned in the face in a car. You then see their faces quite detailed in a later scene in a morgue.
In the final scenes, the main character goes nuts in front of his wife and child (I think there's a child) and smashes up a tv then walks out of his house.

About ten or fifteen years ago I saw a small movie fragment on tv. The program was probably about a movie festival or a documentary on alternative movies, and I think the focus was perhaps on Australian or New-Zealand movies, although I'm not sure about that. I thought that maybe some day they would show the full movie somewhere, but I've never seen it again. I've been wondering for ages which movie this could have been from, and spent a long time searching the internet, but didn't come up with anything yet.
It concerns a quite disturbing scene between a younger brother (about 15) and his sister (slightly older). The sister is in deep trouble, she's a drug addict who has become involved in prostitution to some of her male "friends" to get money for drugs. At one moment she asks her brother for money. The brother apparantly already knows about her activities, probably through some of the aforementioned "friends" and tries to abuse the situation. In exchange for the money he "would like his sister to be nice to him". She then indignantly replies that "if it's that what you want, get it out then" at which reaction the brother still seems to be a bit startled.
I guess the movie should be from the end of the 80's or the first half of the 90's. I don't know whether it's a well-known movie or not.

Ok all i remember of this movie (of which i'm uh... trying to remember) is this one scene.
There were two guys sitting at a table having a conversation when the second guy (B) replies with something totally random, to which guy A says "what?" and guy B says "huh?" as if it was guy A that just said something totally random (hilarious scene i thought).
As far as i remember it was a comedy as well, but that's about as much as i can think of.

I being looking for a few movies. Some of these movies are from 90s and some are from the 80s.
Movie 1
First one is a horror movie about where a family moves into a big 2 story house, not knowing it was haunted and infested with demon creatures.
Each member of the family gets killed of one by one after each night. With it ending with a little girl who is in fact a evil spirit being stabbed with a cross.
Movie 2
The second horror movie from I can recall involves something about time. Every time when it's 3 am, strange evil things starts to manifests, ranging from reflection of a person moving by itself in the mirrors, bath tub water turning black when someone takes a bath, people getting killed by unknown presence.
Movie 3
The third is a Indian horror movie. A guy gets killed in a accident, some doctor revives him using white acid blood. Although appearing human in appearance the thing goes around killing women by raping them.
With it ending by the being getting run over by a truck after a intense fight with a cop.
Movie 4
Finally the forth one is about some time travel about a women having her car broke down in the middle of no where. Get's picked up by a crazy abusive guy driving with his girlfriend.
His girlfriend and other people ends up getting killed by him, with her going through the time travel machine each time to try and prevent the deaths.
Movie 5
Is something to do with aliens. A couple of families are in a farm house. A flashy light appears in the house and manages to render a girl unconscious. Two guys goes outside the house and checks, but never comes back.
In the end they all sit there trying to be strong, and within moments a red light appears in the house, and from a first person perspective from the camera, you can see them all screaming whiles the alien kills them.
Anyone know what these movies are called? or know of any movies that are similar to these?

It was sort of a horror film. I remember there being a group of people stuck on some sort of island with some creature (looked sort of like a fish / man) that was trying to attack them. They found a bunker I think and hid in it. Forgot how it ends.
i saw this movie only once in my entire life and would love to see it again..... i must have been about 7 so it came out in the early 80's i guess. There's a mom with 3 kids 2 girls and a boy i think i remember that there going somewhere maybe to grannys house or something and one girl in particular was favored and made the other girl and boy jealous. On the way home the two kids tie her shoes together as a joke and they have a car wreck the little girl can't get out because of the shoes and dies in the wreck. She comes back for revenge and starts killing members of the family through her brother(it seems like she's talking to and controlling him) i remember she kills the granny by heart attack because they(her and the brother) put a lizard or something in the bed with her. It was a long time ago but i've always wanted to see it again.

okay, so i've been trying to search for a movie for quite some time now and have had no luck... maybe you guys can try to help me out. i remember seeing it a long time ago, but don't remember. it is a airplane hijack movie, and all i can remember is a small catfight that happened between the female terrorist and i believe a stewardess on the plane. the stewardess ended up winning the fight, but was held at gun point from another terrorist and killed. later, a fight ensued between one of our heroes and the female terrorist, and he ends up killing her buy throwing her off the plane. i know it sounds like a stupid movie, but i'm a sucker for catfights. lol!

I found it. The movie is "shivers".
Ok, it was playing in US theaters around the very late 1990's or the early 2000's but I believe it was in French. It was about a girl from that area who for spent her time sleeping with many soldiers from an American base in that area until she is told to quit coming around. I remember one soldier, the cook or something, who was still trying to get with her when she ran off crying. Somehow or other she ends up either running off or just going for a trip to some beach with a boyfriend and that's really all I can remember. I think the title had her name in it but I can't be certain at all. Thanks for any help!
Trying to find a made for TV movie from the 80's or early 90's. Here is what I remember:
It starts out with a man witnessing a fight between a girl and her boyfriend. He rescues her. I think her name is Miranda. They fall in love. She is mixed up with an occult and they are going to sacrifice her. He tries to rescue her but he ends up being the sacrifice. The movie ends the way it started, with a new guy breaking up a fight with the same girl and her boyfriend.
I thought the name of the movie was Bedazzled, Bewildered, enchanted or something like that but I keep coming up empty handed when I try Googling it. I'm beginning to think I made it all up and I should write a movie about it!

I read the movie review for Wicker man. Good guess but that's not it. I think this man was a lawyer and he was leaving the gym or racketball court in a downtown area when he witnesses the boyfriend abusing the girl. the boyfriend finally leaves and tells the lawyer you don't know what you are getting yourself in to. The end of the movie is exactly like the beginning except it is a different man, seeing as the lawyer was used as a human sacrifice.
The fascinating thing to me about this movie is that the good guy loses his life and the bad guys win buy sucessfully making the good guy a sacrifice.
This is driving me crazy. I can't remember much about this movie except it involves a young man who lives in a shed-like apartment in somebody's backyard and he is some kind of criminal. He gets a package that indicates his boss has been hired to kill a girl that this young man is in love with. He tries to stop the hit but is not successful. The girl dies. That's all I remember. I think it's a British film and I think I saw it within the last 5 years.

Hey got two movies need help in remembering the titles
1. If you're a fan of Dr Who, you might remember a dalek movie which didnt feature the doctor, made in the late 70s/early 80s. I remember it featured Daleks ruled the place and and they were painted different colours (as opposed to the tv series of silver), there were red and black ones. I think the plot involved the daleks controlled the population through underlings that policed the people. there was also a group of people who formed a resistance and i think eventually rebelled. Thats about all i remember. Hope someone can help.
2. All I remember of this film was it was set in Egypt or the middle east (at least for some part), I think it was spy or cloak and dagger type film. Made in the 70's (could have been mid-late 70s). Anyway the scene that sticks in my memory is that a guy and girl are on a rooftop, another female wearing black with a big hat starts fighting with the girl, they grapple and wrestle. On the ground is some rope that pulls a big bucket between buildings. The woman in black puts the rope around the neck of the girl, who then puts it around the neck of the woman in black, the man yells out 'push the bucket', which the girl does, this drags the woman in black over the edge of the roof and hangs her. I think the woman in black had sex with the guy earlier in the film, but don't quote me on that. The scene cuts to a street view where you see the woman in black dangling by the rope. This scene has stayed with me for many years, but i dont know what movie it is from. Appreciate any help.

I'm been searching for a movie I used to borrow from the library (in Adelaide, SA) and watch when i was a kid. It must have been released in the 80's or early 90's.
Basically the movie is about a group of kids who travel in a little boat to an island basically to go exploring a huge old mansion that has been empty for years. when they get there they run into some bad guys and i think one of the kids gets kidnapped.
From there its all about the other kids fighting / running from the bad guys.
I also remember there was a speed boat chase which i used to think was awesome.
I've looked through hundreds of movies on imdb but just cant find it.
Hopefully someone else might have watched it when they were a kid... i be so happy if someone knows what it is, cause its been bugging me for moths now trying to remember the name!

but near the end there was a scene where they were on a bullet train, and the japanese guy (he probably would have been the main character or one of them), mid 50s maybe, looked rugged, tough, either helped arrest/kill the baddies, and when the police came, they wanted his sword, he refused saying, a warrior doesn't let anyone touch his sword, (or some where along the lines of)
he then either says or implies, that he would destroy the sword rather then give it to the authorities, so I think he stabbed his sword in the ground and then snapped in half, gave the half to the police and stormed off,

Ok no worries, the siege aspect with the troops lying in the pipes sounds exactly like when the National Guardsmen are defending the pumping station from the Russian invasion force by doing the same thing – hiding in the stack of segments of unused Alaskan pipeline.

Here's a long shot. A mother is desperately trying to locate her son in some sort of outdoor electrical facility (a substation perhaps) yelling "Corey! Corey!". The kid was either already injured or electrocuted, I think. There's a 70s or 80s feel to it.
That's all. Just a snippet-sized childhood memory that taunts me every so often, and won't stop until I've identified the movie it was from.

I am new to this forum, so I'd like to start off by saying that it's awesome that you guys do this! :) I'm hoping someone can help me please, as I've spent countless hours searching for this movie. I will be as detailed and accurate as my memory allows. I would guess it is from the mid to late 90's It is about 3 (I believe) young teenagers, 2 boys and a girl, that live in what seems to be a run down motel, they all seem to want to get out of there, but they have no way to, at some point they come across a black (I think) car with a dead body in the trunk, I think they wait around to find the owner so they can blackmail her, but she turns out to be an assassin. Near the end of the movie she offers to take the girl with her and train her to be an assassin too, but only if she kills her friends. She doesn't want to kill her friends so they try to trick the assassin into thinking she killed them, and the assassin goes along with it and lets the girl think they've fooled her, but as they are driving off she tells her that she knows she didn't kill them, and that if she had actually killed them, she wouldn't have taken the girl with her. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :)

I want to know the name of a movie I saw as a child in about 1959 or 1960. The part I remember was that a boy was handcuffed to an outlaw and they were crossing a desert. The outlaw died and the boy had to get loose from him and continue traveling alone.
Saw a movie on late night SBS a good while back (mid last year perhaps).
It was foreign, european, probably german i think.
What i remember was that it was just about an average bloke, with a wife and kids, he loses his job, but doesnt end up telling his family about it, so he goes on spending his days just driving around in his car and living/sleeping in his car as he goes on 'business trips' and what not.
He drives to another country/town/place where he goes into a building from a company, pretending to be a customer/client, he sits and reads all day brochures and stuff about what the company does and then tells his wife and his parents that he got a job at this company and is working and living in that area.
I also remember a scene where his parents come to visit him at his new 'place' unexpectedly and check out his new job and such, and he fakes through the whole thing without a hitch.
Another scene i remember was of him having dinner or a meeting with a friend/colleague at a fancy restaurant, he goes back to his car after the meeting and stays in the carpark and sleeps in his car, i think he nearly gets caught by a security gaurd as well.
Alot of the scenes was of him driving on the highways and such. Seemed like quite a new movie at the time, '05+ maybe.

Hi whirlpool. my movie is a black and white thriller that I saw as a kid in the late 60s. A woman "haunts" a guy who killed her twin sister in a car accident. In one scene she steps out of a full length portrait on a stair case to freak him out (it freaked me out :) . the final scene shows the husband/killer running off the road and being killed in the same spot that he killed his wife after seeing "her" coming up the road towards him. any ideas ? thanks

I don't recall much of the movie except that it had a demon that was in an empty attic and the demon looked like a goat/man. It was deathly white and stood on its hind legs and had long, wispy white hair that, I think, went down its back a-ways. I recall it was night outside as you could see the dark sky from one window at the left of the screen.

I was browsing the net some time in the last two, maybe even three years and I stumbled across an online portfolio which featured links to the trailer hosting webpages of several movies – but have since lost the bookmark.
One of the trailers that grabbed my attention featured a mortician/morgue attendant who embalmed his "clients" and during the trailer appeared to hold polite conversations with them during the process. However, the twist in the trailer was that this man had actually killed them all at some point. At one point I think he also murdered a police officer/sheriff who was either investigating him/stumbled onto one of his murders. May have been set in a small town/community, main character may have been quiet & polite but flew into rages.
I can't for the life of me remember the name of the movie or the actors in the trailer advertised. I think it was a recent production, insofar as it having a 2000 to 2010 timeframe. American. I'd like to see it now I've remembered it, but I need your help!

I got several things wrong here but the basic premise of a young criminal trying to stop a hit on a girl he is falling for was right. The movie was The Guilty with Devon Sawa and Bill Pullman.

It was set just after WW II, a mom and her sons lived in a small town. Her husband did not return from the war. She dances with a broom singing Rum and Coca Cola. Her sons walk into town and there is someone following them. That part gets scary. Then in the end we discover that it is their father who has been disfigured in the war and did not want to return home that way.

teenage girl is put into drug clinic/rehab by her father. it's a big mansion in england. the other patients start dissapearing being murdered 1 by 1. at 1 stage she manages to escape and goes to her father but he takes her back (he's in on it) at the end of the film it's revealed that the 'other patients' are all played by actors and they were basically there to scare the girl into giving up drugs. another thing that i remember is that there was a juke box in the lounge which was always playing 'shaking all over' quivers down my back bone etc...does anyone know the title of this film...hope the above helps

Hey guys, just been racking my brain over a movie I saw.
Anywhere from early 2008 onwards I would guess.
Pretty much, some dude who is from an advanced human race crash lands his spaceship on a planet, it crash lands into water. (important because he tries to dive and retrieve something from it)
He gets captured or something by this native tribe who I think are similar to vikings, and there is some demon monster thing that attacks their town, and he creates this enclosed pit thing which is surrounded by log walls, and the pit is filled with like flammable stuff, and he lights it on fire and thinks he has killed the monster but he hasn't.
That's pretty much all I remember of the film.
Please help, very frustrating not knowing the name!

Finally the forth one is about some time travel about a women having her car broke down in the middle of no where. Get's picked up by a crazy abusive guy driving with his girlfriend.
His girlfriend and other people ends up getting killed by him, with her going through the time travel machine each time to try and prevent the deaths.
It's taken me many hours to track this one down – thanks to you and one other person in the US who couldn't remember it, I've found it.
"Retroactive" – an HBO direct-to-video movie with Jim Belushi.

"promqueen" organises with two other girls to come with her... broke into the house while the mother was away... attack the young girl and end up slitting her throat... the end writing of the movie says the mother goes on to fight stalking and have laws put in place for it.
- i think the name had the young girls name in it.... something like "the stalking of..." or "the murder of....." that kinda thing

I'm having trouble trying to find the name of a movie that was made probably in the early forties.
A cockney girl (no, not My Fair Lady) rises up in British society and no one knows her past. I remember one scene where at a party the girl forgets herself and says "Blimey! I dropped me beads" when her necklace breaks. She's afraid that she's caught but then everyone laughs at her great imitation.
Later in the movie she befriends a young cockney servant girl. The servant girl is falsely accused of stealing something. On a large spiral staircase people are running up the stairs to capture her. Panicked, the servant girl jumps off of the staircase to her death. That's all I remember. I hope someone here can help me.

I saw this one about 20 years ago. It's in black and white. Early Horror/ Comedy/ Drama. American or possibly British at a stretch. It takes place in a big Country House, or Country House Hotel, or similar. One by one, people are killed. A dinner party around a large dinner table keeps disappearing and reappearing. This is "Small Time Hooker". I should know, I was the butt model for the midget during the sex scenes. I am a 6'2" male, but have a petite butt.
I can't remember much about this movie other than it has a similar theme to the sixth sense, the guy is dead but doesn't know it, and doesn't know why a second man is coming into his home and sleeping with his wife :), any ideas?

To begin with, I joined this webpage merely because I'm amazed at the knowledge and the level of effort of those who post on it. And though I know a fair number of movies, I am shamed by your powers of recall (or re-search).
That being well and good and out of the way, I have two movies that have haunted me for years that I can't seem to find anywhere:
The first is a horror movie from (I imagine) the early or mid-'90s. Though there's probably a huge plotline I'm missing, what I remember is that there was a crystal ball type-thing up in the attic of a house. And inside the ball was, supposedly, the devil. And the real kicker was that the devil in the ball tried to convince the young daughter that lived in the house that he was her father.
I've tried my best to look up "crystal ball," "attic," "devil/father," and all of that stuff, but I keep getting the "Phantasm" movies, and I'm pretty sure it was none of them. If I'm wrong, please correct me, because I need to go rent the movie again.
The second is a movie that I want to say was made-for-TV. And it was a pretty grim and solemn movie about a priest who had molested a young boy. The priest, from what I remember, looked a little like David Strathairn. There was a scene where the boy was sitting in a church office/room with his mother being asked questions about what the priest did. And I'm pretty sure there was a "Monsigneur" in the movie somewhere.

Ok guys this is my first post here, but I found this thread while trying to search for the title of a movie. I hope you folks can help me. If this movie has been researched before in this forum, then I apologize for the repeat.
Ok all I remember about the movie (from the early 80s I think) was that there was a series of teams all competing in some sort of massive scavenger hunt. They had to solve different puzzles to get the next clue to advance to the next little challenge. All of the teams were wearing the same color shirts. So one team would all be wearing green t-shirts, one wearing all red, etc.
The only part of any detail that I really remember was at one point in the movie the teams had to beat the old Star Wars arcade game. This was the game with the line graphics where you were flying an x-wing into the death star. Anyway, this one kid was able to beat the game to get the next clue.
I'm sure this movie was garbage, but I have this memory of it from my childhood and I really want to see it again. Not knowing the title has been periodically irking me for years now. Can anyone help?

I think i know this one, its From Beyond (1986) Reading the plot on IMDB it dont really sound like it, but watch it anyway, as i think thats it.
2 Scientists in attic of house, crystal ball looking machine, inside is not the devil but lifeforms kill 1 of the scientists. Later the other scientist returns with a doctor & another man or 2, and the dead scientist emerges which you may be mistaken with the devil. Cause he is evil now & tries to kill them all/get them to join him etc.

About 9 or 10 years ago I remember watching this sci fi / survival film with my brother, and thinking it was awesome, however I cannot remember the title and im really keen to watch it again so though maybe someone could help me out? Here's what a remember....
-The film is about a crew of people on a space craft
-One of the actress is a black lady who I though was grace jones (however after looking at imdb I cannot see any reference of scifi films)
-The ship gets hit my small meteoroids and pierce the hull, some of the crew get injured (one goes through someone leg) they patch up the holes with spray on sealant
-the ship gets damaged, and the solar panels on the front of the ship wont close, so someone has to piot the ship whilst enduring solar radiation. The black lady ends up doing this, and ends up losing all her hair and getting sick.
-There is also a dwarf (small man) character, who at one point goes through the ship doing maintenance on some sort of a pullie skateboard type thing
Okay that's about all I can remember, it's pretty bad, and vague at that. But would appreciate the help if anyone has any ideas?

I have two more that I have been trying to find for a long time. The first one should be easier, it's a fantasy movie from the late 70's early 80's I guessing. It's about an Arabian guy (I think his name was Hasaan) and a kid, and a monkey, who go on an adventure to find a golden flower (a rose perhaps), he has to overcome obstacles and trials to get to this flower. There are flying carpets and mythological creatures and a princess I believe. It was played many times on HBO or Showtime for awhile back then.
The second I think will be much harder. It is an old black and white movie (I think), about circus performers, and there is a young boy around 10-12 probably, I'm not sure how/why he's there, I believe he falls in love sort of with this pretty 20-35 yr old woman, who at some point for whatever reason puts his hand on her bare stomach. There is also a crazy old man I think was called the colonel, whom ironically enough kills a chicken at some point in the movie I think. I think I saw this movie sometime in the 70s. I would sure appreciate any help you can give. Thanks. :)

OK this isn't terribly important. More like one of those things that you can't quite remember but is annoying because you can't.

Need help with the name for a movie. Some details:
- Movie starts like this: outside some church, there are people sitting inside cars. Inside the church, a woman brings a newborn baby, the priest or some other people try to kill that baby. Outside the church, there’s a fighting with guns and swords.
- Another scene is that there’s some Fort. Some people attack that fort at night with a helicopter. They climb down from the helicopter with a rope, and down on the fort, there are already warriors with swords that are waiting for them, so a fight takes place there.
- Another scene is the hero of the movie is kidnapped by his mother, and he is taught sword fighting and trained how to fight there.
- There’s another scene in the movie in which “old times” are shown in which there warriors are standing by a grave or some significant block of stone and taking an oath. It’s like background of the movie, showing what happened centuries ago, giving significance to it.
- Another scene is where the hero and the heroine drive a long way to a place like an old church or a fort, and there are many old priests / monks type of people there. Over there, an old monk/priest gives the hero some old maps, and explains him old map keys.
- The hero has something special in his blood which enables him to heal instantly upon getting wounded.
- it's about a teen that doesn't even know his ability. there two groups of this people. the hellicopter scene happens when one of the groups attacks the other. they can die not only by cutting the head of but i think also by stabbing the heart... i'm not sure. Oh and the heroine is his girlfriend that has no powers
- they're not vampires. they just have regeneration habilities. only die if cut their head or heart (i think)
- after the hero is kidnapped by his father group one of the man stabs him in the gut, i think to prove him that he could really regenerate. i don't know if it was because the kid was still weak but it took him a day to recover from the wound
- I think the actors were (American or European) Swords weren't samurai or ninja style .. They fight and armour like "First Knight".
- Hero drives a new model car, few car chasing scenes in the movie .... They dress normal, and wear armor during fights .... In one scene hero drive car across a high rise building / parking lot ... it was a fight scene ....

The guy wore a lot of armour.
The final fight scene looked to be in a warehouse type of set up, I don't believe it was an actual warehouse, possibly a spaceship or something similar.

The story took place in an urban setting. The main character was a young black child who desperately wanted to leave the drug world he grew up in. One of top drug dealers was named Jake. Through careful and brilliant planning, he was able to convince Jakes' boss that Jake wanted control the whole operation. Consequently, Jake was killed at the hands of his boss. Then this kid set up that boss by planting drugs in the boss' home, which was discovered by the police. In exchange for his testimony, he is granted protection by the police. This kid also insists that his sister be protected. Here are some scenes I remember.
A junkie prostitute offers this kid sex if he gets her a meeting with Jake.
This kid has a friend that desperately wants to get into the drug business. This friends explains that he is good for the business because as the friend says "I've got dope moves". (The kid knows that his friend does not have what it takes but pretends that he will set up a meeting)
Dollar by dollar, this kid saves up money. He puts the money in a tin can outside in a field. He saved $5,000.00 dollars.
This kid hangs a dog (a pitbull) by the neck, choking him briefly before he shoots him. (it was a mercy killing to keep the dog from a life of fighting)

The dwarf was the technician, with an R2D2y "tool" arm.
The black lady was the one in Avatar – the older one – CCH Pounder, who not only sounds explosive, but takes the record for most initials in any Earth name in history.

OK, I searched Google, IMDB, I'm a member of Blockbuster online as well as Netflix, and none have the movie I'm looking for.
I'm 34 years old and looking for a movie I saw in the early 80s about oversized rats or possums overrunning a rural town and killing everyone. The movie could have been made in the early 80s or late 70s. I have not idea who stared in the movie because I was just a mere child when I saw it, but I remember the end vividly. I have no details other than the rats/possum got full bellies. I don't know if they went crazy due to a chemical spill, or some sort of electric shock similar to Squirm. All I know is that there were little surviving humans and they had to flood the town to kill vermin at the end. All I can remember are dead rats/possum floating and washing up on the streets at the end of the movie.
I have the slightest idea what the title of the movie could be. I've rented the 2002 movie RATS, that's not it. I've also rented the 1983 movie, RATS: Night of Terror; the more recent, KILLER RATS, and THE FOOD OF THE GODS and those aren't it either. I don't think BEN is what I'm looking for, even though I haven't seen it and I don't think it's available on any format to view. I'm lost here.

I've got one for you, except i'm not certain whether it was a movie or TV show.
It was Australian, the storyline was about a ghost of a girl from decades/century ago who was accidentally killed by a thief who hid her body so she simply disappeared as far as everyone was concerned. She was the friend of the boy who now lived in her house. And IIRC the 'rival' family were called the ferals and dogs didn't like them.
Probably from late 80s to early 90s, and was in all likelyhood a kids show. That's all I remember apart from that I liked the show a lot.

Deadly Eyes is OOP and only available for sale on Amazon ($17 USD) via VHS. If you say they either burned or electrocuted the vermin, I don't think that's it, but it's worth a try. As I said , I was young and they could have burned or electrocuted them to fend them off. The scene with the rats floating could have just been a result of the electricity and burning.

I actually own a copy of Night of the Lepus and that's what I call Bunnies Gone Wild. Imagine your kids pet rabbit running on the kids train track and you filming it, that's Night of the Lepus.

I just went to a certain video posting website and noticed that The Rats aka Deadly Eyes (1982) is posted. I checked the last part of the movie and it's definitely not what I'm looking for. Though, the ending is funny, it's not the ending that I remember of the rats being killed off.

I've actually rented GNAW: The Food of the Gods. I haven't seen the 1970s original, which I will get to soon because it's in my queue. It's one of the last rat movies that I have to watch before I call it quits. And after watching a clip of some of the scenes from the original film, I think I found what I'm looking for.

Sounds like a "Highlander" (with Christopher Lambert) or "Mad Max" (with Mel Gibson) movie. It could also be one of the Kurt Russell "Escape from:" movies. He did one in New York, one with L.A. I don't know if there were others.

Hi, I remember very little about this movie because I was very young watching it, so please bear with me :-P
It is a French film, probably mid to late 80's. I remember it being about a young (most likely teenaged) girl, very quiet, who somehow hooks up with a more rough, kind of rebel guy. They run away together and at some point end up in a country house.
I don't remember much else, except a conversation that 2 of the characters have, in which one proposes that life is just going from a box to another. (i.e. you live in an appartment and get on an elevator, just to get down to your car and drive to work in a cubicle, etc.)

I saw a trailer for this movie about a year ago, so 2009, and thought I would like to see it, but can't remember the name of it.
All I can remember about it is that a girl was murdered and I believe she comes back as a ghost to help her dad find her killer. At least I remember him geting glimpses of her throughout the trailer and she is dead.

There are many old movies and parts of movies stuck in my head; they are like splinters in my brain. I will not be content till I dig them out and look at them. That's where you all come in. Likewise, I might be able to pull some splinters out of some other brains.
I hope I don't overwhelm anyone, but there are a lot of 'em, so here goes with a few:
1. I remember full size brains with tails. They would crawl and they could jump up and grab someone by the throat and choke them with the tails. As I recall, they were controlled by a large master brain somewhere.
2. I remember a series of short surreal films presented on A&E. I think they were British. Three that come to mind are:
A. A guy walking along a country road going on holiday. He steps in a hole and gets stuck. Someone stops and looks like they will help him out, but takes his coat instead. He spends the night there. In the morn, he lures a cow close enough to drink milk, but a R/C airplane comes along, scares the cow away, hits him in the head, then flies away. He keeps sinking in the hole. Other bad stuff happens to him, too. He sinks completely out of sight except one foot. A bum comes along and steals that remaining shoe and his tape player.
B. A writer has a problem writing because a goofy woman upstairs constantly pours buckets of water out the window onto his porch. He's going nuts. Finally, she dies. But, he then finds he can't write anything without the water being poured out. He hires someone to pour water out the window so he can write.
C. Everyone in the family is armed and suspicious of each other. Seems to be the total culture then. Mom, dat and teen son are always pointing guns at each other threatening to kill. In the end, someone gets shot (don't remember who).
Don't remember the exact era, but it's got to be about 20 years ago. As In recall, there were other surreal little films there.
3. I remember a fake super ocean liner where outside was brought inside and artificial sun, so no one ever had to go outside at all. All the passengers were made to think they were out to sea, but they never left the dock. I remember the engine room had topless women rowing what looked like Viking oars. I remember a scene where a large tank was set up in a public place, and three tank trucks from a slaughter house brought, feces, urine and blood, which were all dumped in that tank. A man went up on a large portable stair out over this filth with a megaphone and started yelling, "Free money!", as he threw fists full of money into it. I remember seeing proper British gentlemen step over into that stuf, go under, and come up with hands full of money. All the while, the Beatles song, "Come and get it" was playing.
WHAT were the names of these movies??? Can anyone help dig even one of these splinters from my brain?

Here's one I have been looking for for a while:
A Boy and his dog. Dog gets picked up by evil and mean dog catcher and is held at pound. Boy gets him out (*somehow*).
Ironically, when I was in Italy in the ARMY, I was a "projectionist" – I used to SHOW this movie! Don't remember a whole lot, but I remember a big, brutal dog pound man. I remember he was very musclebound. He was a real bleephole! Made you hate him. Kid gets dog back and bleephole got his in the end. The end.

This was a British film. Something to do with a girl who gets picked up and labeled as a "mental patient" and put in a nuthouse. Somehow, she gets loose and is picked up by a trucker. Little known to her, somehow the trucker brings her back to the nuthouse she just escaped from!
