What can I say, well this lovely establishment guided me and my palate to appreciate red wine. Sip by sip with lil tastes of the Cabernet, Merlot and more. Delicious memories.
It has changed a lot in the 30 plus year since but the wine still holds a special place in my heart.
Cheers!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Apr 14, 2024
Overall, we had a decent time at Sequoia Grove, but it isn't our favorite Napa winery.
Sequoia has some affordable tasting options, which could be great depending on what you're looking for. The estate itself doesn't have the grandeur of some of the other estates we've been to.
When you first arrive at Sequoia Grove, the entrance to the property looks more like a small cabin in the woods vs. a sprawling Napa wine estate you'll see at other places. Upon entering, there are some clothing racks and merchandise available for sale. We were greeted and taken out to the patio for our tasting.
They have a small patio area with some tables and couches for seating. Service was friendly, albeit a bit brusque. There were a few other parties there at the same time, and since the space isn't very large, it felt rather packed.
We finished our tasting within 30 minutes, which we felt was pretty quick. Our server did try to sell us a bit but nothing over the top.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 61812001137Dec 6, 2023
Friendly staff, good lineup. I love the cambium!
They recently introduced food paring with the tasting...DON'T DO IT. It actually interfered with the wine. So even if you're a club member and can get the food paring for free...resist the temptation.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Mar 8, 2024
We decided to pick this winery for part of our wine tasting tour based on my love of trees. I know it's not the best way to pick a winery but turns out, that is all we liked when by the time we left. I did appreciate them greeting us when we walk in the door with a glass of wine. That is a great touch! Unfortunately no one in our group found a wine that they liked enough to take home with them. The bonus is they do have a charging station for electric cars, Which are Tesla compatible. We had a lovely sommelier that shared lots of historical information of the winery.

I had such a great experience at Sequoia Grove. My host was kind and so knowledgeable on the history of the winery and its production methods. The food they brought out for me was exceptional and paired deliciously with the wine, especially their Syrah. Huge fan of their truffle popcorn and Cabernet meatballs! Thank you to the entire team at Sequoia Grove for your great hospitality and warmth!

If you like California wine, this place is it. It's not Italian wine but it's good nonetheless the less.

Small boutique winery that had delicious red wines and delectable food. You can't get the wine here in restaurants or anywhere outside the region, making it all the more special.
Of all wineries, this was some of the better food on our adventures! The mushroom arancini will remain in my dreams, they were delicious.
Myself and others in my party aren't huge Merlot drinkers, but they get their grapes from the coastline and it created a robust fruitful wine - we all bought bottles.
Service was attentive, but not overbearing, and seemed casual/calm - not like the cattle call or rushed atmosphere of other places. It was approachable and also polished, which was appreciated by all.
When returning to Napa, this will be a place I continue to visit. A high recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 2 - Jan 31, 2024
Introduced to me by one of my husband's coworkers, Sequoia Grove's Chardonnay has become one of my favorites! So naturally, I had to go to the source on my last trip to Napa. We were welcomed to our tasting with a splash of a very unique Chardonnay that was actually made by 2 different winemakers: started by one and finished by another! It was so good, I definitely bought a bottle to bring home Our sommelier, Oscar, was an extremely knowledgeable wine educator and brand ambassador. Not only did he make the tasting worthwhile with great descriptions and history behind the grapes and wines, he also made it special by bringing us the most delicious brownies to taste alongside a killer Cabernet. Tbh, I loved every wine I tried You can also go around the main building to see vines planted for different varietals. Since we went during/ towards the end of Harvest, a lot of grapes have been picked, but the leaves were still so pretty with hints of autumn I can't wait to go back and visit (especially the winery dog)!
