(Sen.) Maria Cantwell's Men: the Dating History of Washington's Junior Senator

How do you solve a problem like Maria's personal life?
Maria Cantwell is single, young (by Congressional standards) and, according to the Huffington Post, the sexiest Senator in the land. She's also, if the scurrilous gossip-mongers at The New York Post are to be believed, part of the reason CNBC correspondent and New York Times writer John Harwood's marriage is ending.
Neither Harwood nor Cantwell confirmed the affair rumors to Page Six. But if its "D.C. insiders" are correct -- and really, who would ever question the validity of anonymous sources dishing to a gossip columnist -- then it wouldn't be the first time Cantwell's been linked to a married man.
A casual glance at the Wikipedia page of any male politician usually reveals one section devoted to personal history. Some mention of past girlfriends or a closet where skeletons are buried. But despite a verified instance in which Cantwell was "the other woman," her Wikipedia entry is so clean you could print it out and eat off of it.
So here now, an attempt at documenting the dating history of Washington's junior Senator.
If Cantwell has a type, older, politically savvy men like Dotzauer are it. Ron Dotzauer
Their complicated relationship began in 1985, when Cantwell, then 23-years-old, was the first employee in the 37-year-old Dotzauer's consulting firm. They dated, "had a sexual encounter" a week before he was to get married to another woman (thus confirming her status as "the other" in Dotzauer's divorce papers) and continued their political partnership, with him acting as an adviser in every one of her campaigns. (He was her campaign manager in her successful bid to unseat three-term incumbent Slade Gorton in 2000).
Charley Steiner
The bearded ESPN anchor with the infectious laugh allegedly escorted Cantwell on a few dates in 2002.
Man's gotta be cool if they call him Torch, and he dated Mick Jagger's ex. Robert "The Torch" Toricelli
New Jersey's fieriest (get it?) House Rep dated Bianca Jagger and Laura Ingraham before squiring Cantwell around D.C.
Know how I know? Cuz it says so on his Wikipedia page. (Just not on hers.) It is unclear, however, whether the human torch has ever been denied a bank loan.
Johanson Jim Johanson
Currently a lawyer and, at one time, a candidate for Snohomish County Superior Court, Johanson and Cantwell dated during her first Senate run in 2000. He also succeeded her as state rep when she bumped up to the U.S. House in the early '90s.
Those are the Cantwell relationships I can verify. Please read nothing into that subtle use of italics. Thank you.
