      Critics Consensus

Seinfeld's comedic voice gets more confident in this much-improved second season, which better utilizes its supporting players to uproarious effect.

Kim T Definitely one of my favourite sitcoms. Great cast who play their characters perfectly and not many episodes I don't like. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review DJ W Much better than season 1. Really funny. It manages to take the most random things and make them funny. It's really good Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/15/23 Full Review Edoardo C this bunch of phenomenal people made the History of Television Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/24/23 Full Review Mark-Anthony J This show aged well. Love to watch it Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/22 Full Review Audience Member The best show of all time. Seen every episode many times. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/30/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Stevan Keane Guardian Like thirty-something, only with punchlines instead of relentless whinging, Seinfeld has found a grateful market among Boomer babies... The success of this sitcom lies in the absence of any "sit." Feb 10, 2021 Full Review Robin Oliver Sydney Morning Herald The normal rules of sitcom do not apply and these people cook up a marvellous brand of wisecracking wisdom from the mincemeat of life. Feb 10, 2021 Full Review Doug Anderson Sydney Morning Herald Jerry Seinfeld's mixture of sitcom and stand-up comedy has its moments -- gentle bemusement and a level of perplexity that doesn't lead to that vile, uptight braying we're so familiar with. Feb 10, 2021 Full Review Mike Boone Montreal Gazette As is the case with all good sitcoms, Seinfeld has a terrific ensemble cast playing offbeat characters whose neuroses provide the comparatively sane star with material for one-liners. Feb 10, 2021 Full Review Diane Holloway Austin American-Statesman Baby-faced Seinfeld may be the main draw, but his partnership with Jason Alexander, who plays best friend George, is the reason the show works. Feb 10, 2021 Full Review Joyce Millman San Francisco Examiner Despite the annoying comedy-club interludes in which Seinfeld performs his blow-dry stand-up shtick, Seinfeld is an enjoyable, potentially habit-forming, sitcom.
