We provide a college preparatory, strength-based program that gives students the skills, strategies, tools and mindset needed to become successful lifelong learners. Through a series of fundraising events this spring, the school community rallied together to raise an impressive $200,000. This incredible sum has been put to good use, with Chartwell acquiring two brand-new passenger vans to support student activities.
Chartwell School's annual student-faculty hockey game returned this year, bringing out the competitive spirit – and laughter – across the entire school community.
Earlier this month, Chartwell ninth and tenth graders embarked on a unique two-day field experience designed to connect them with local parks, history, and each other.
Chartwell being situated just a few miles from the beach provides a unique learning opportunity for our students, and the 2nd annual Surf Club allows students to explore our backyard; the Pacific Ocean, in a new way.
As graduation approaches, Chartwell seniors have embarked on a capstone project. This project brings together all they've learned throughout their high school careers and applies it in real-world settings.
Lower School students and teachers had a special visit from the amazing Mario the Maker Magician! Mario hails from New York City and had just wrapped up a tour in Australia after performing off-broadway for a season of shows.
Last week, we welcomed over 130 special friends, grandparents, and guests to campus for Lower and Middle School Grandparents and Special Friends Day.
The high school photography class has taken a special interest in portrait photography this year and they have been hard at work honing their skills.
At the end of March, we were fortunate to welcome Dr. Jane Goodall to our campus for an inspirational morning. Dr. Goodall visited us as part of her 90th birthday celebratory tour.
