Frost possible candidate for Arizona State staff

A new report states that former Nebraska head coach Scott Frost may not be unemployed for much longer. Barrett Sallee, a college football reporter for CBSSports, has said that the former head coach may be headed back to the west coast.

“Name to keep in mind on Kenny Dillingham’s staff at Arizona State … Scott Frost. Some hurdles there from a few perspectives, but don’t be surprised if that becomes a thing.”

Those hurdles would be the $15 million that the University of Nebraska owes Frost remaining on his contract. Dillingham and Frost don’t have any direct connection, but both have previously been the offensive coordinator at the University of Oregon. Frost served in the role from 2013-15, and Dillingham had the role from only the 2021 season.

Arizona State hired the 32-year-old Dillingham as the next Sun Devil head coach on November 27th. The graduate is the first alumnus to hold the position. It’s unknown what position Frost would hold if he were to be hired, but it’s clear after this report and previous reports on Frost’s possible future employment he will be in demand for the 2023 college football season.
