The West Hollywood Edition

Even the land is not too big, the hotel facade is not too big, there is valet parking, parking fee is 49 dollars a night. The lobby of the hotel is not large, but as soon as I walk into the door, I have the unique smell of le labo, which I really like. After staying for 2 nights this time, a guest who played billiards saw my daughter interact with her all the time, which was also very interesting. But why give us the last corner room? Every time we have to walk for a long time to get to the room. The room is too small to fully open the suitcase. Not worth the price of nearly 8,000 for 2 nights. On the night of the check-in, my husband and I went to the starry bar upstairs. The night view overlooking Los Angeles was beautiful, but the temperature was not high.

The service is really bad, to be honest. Because we have a baby in our room, I have asked for a big bed room because I can't have an extra bed.

Hotel location is general, travel car rental or Uber is better, stayed for four nights, the first night of the deduction of 400 knife pre-authorization, was informed, the second and third night respectively deducted me 35 and 250 knives, is Did not say, the hotel front desk can not find out why the deduction, only contact with the bank overnight, for a long time, the room service also stole a new doll with a tag? I also thought it was rubbish, but it was really unhappy anyway.
Sunset Tower Hotel

So this is actually my second review of Sunset Tower Hotel, having stayed there previously last October. At the time I was left charmed by but ultimately underwhelmed with my stay, having only previously been familiar with the hotel’s well known Tower Bar restaurant — a favorite of mine whenever I’m in LA. I shared my feedback with the staff, which was more along the lines of disappointment rather than disapproval. Through that, I was put in touch with Managing Director Bruno Vergeynst, who immediately reached out to me and invited me to give the hotel a second try upon my next trip. First I have to say that Bruno and his team of staff are truly wonderful hosts. Sunset Tower is of course an iconic location in LA, and there really is something old school and intimate about the level of service that they provide. It’s warm and friendly, yet still somehow manages to feel sophisticated and elegant. It’s all of the positives you expect from a classic luxury hotel experience with none of the stuffiness you can sometimes encounter. The main tower itself is truly a beauty, extremely charming, and almost romantic in its commitment to its history. The penthouse I stayed in was truly magnificent, and got some of the most gorgeous light in any hotel room I’ve ever been in in LA throughout the entire day. From the traditional chocolate tower which greets you upon arrival to the snack basket which welcomes you back to your room in the evening, there’s a sense of whimsy and, again, charm to something which in most other hotels’ hands would feel equally luxe but not quite as fun to stay in. All I can say is, my first impression wasn’t necessarily accurate, and it will be my pleasure to visit Sunset Tower again very soon!
