My family and some friends did a trick-or-treat event here on Saturday evening this was our first experience here at this drive-in. I have not been to a drive-in since I was a young child so it's pretty neat to take my kids here. They had a nice Halloween set up where people would pass out candy and trick-or-treat. And they are also showing the movie Hotel Transylvania for families to watch. My friends and family had a good time and we will definitely be back for more.

Oh, we had a great experience today. They had the Polar Xpress experience. When you enter the theater, you stop at little booths, that either had Santa, somebody giving out hot chocolate, candy cane, and a silver Bell. Most of the customers followed the instructions to keep their headlights off.

      Please pick up after yourselves.

I enjoy the experience and definitely will be back.

Saurbeck family drive in located in Lagrange Kentucky is a newer drive in movie theatre that is convenient for locals of Lousiville that like to take there family for a night outside to watch the big screen.

Despite being a larger and heavily populated city the city or Lousiville no longer has drive in movie theaters. Until this particular one opened up a few years ago the closest one was in Georgetown Indiana. So there definetly was a market for this to be here.

Like most traditional drive ins they have a large screen that you can listen to on the radio or speaker. They show two films a night starting at just last nightfall. They also have a snack bar with yummy treats.

I have only frequented this location about twice but both times we had a fun time. Good picture and sound quality on the movie and in a quiet and peaceful area to take in a movie.

This location and the Georgetown Indiana one are both approximately 30 min from my Lousiville home. So depending. Who has the better lineup that week is how I make my choice. Generally Georgetown wins but only because they have two screens and show 4 movies so I can mix and match to our liking a bit more. However This place has just as good quality.

Overall I'm very happy to have more drive in options from my home. I love taken my family out and checking Out two big screen movies outdoors. Just something some nostalgic and fun about it for me.

We've been numerous times and have had enjoyable experiences every time. Not sure why this places has gotten negative remarks. The kids who work here have always been friendly enough and never made me not want to come back.

Prices are fair and vary from what's showing. Retro movies are by the car and new releases are per person.

Concessions aren't outrageously priced, but it's definitely how they make their money. 5 bucks for a medium popcorn is definitely doable. Big plus for the concessions is you can order online and pickup whenever. You can also pay 5 dollars and bring in whatever you like.

Lots of space and ample parking. Screen and projector are fairly decent. You tune in on the radio, so if you can't hear, then that's on you.

My only beef, which isn't their fault, is the lights on the power station next to them. Plant some trees or something to block it out.

So this was my first time to experience a drive-in movie theater and I loved it. This place has their act together even during Covid. We took in a double feature that was kid and family friendly on Saturday 3-27-2021. They did an Easter movie special and a miniature Easter Egg hunt as well. They have a good movie food selection but you can also bring in food as well. Plenty of parking. Great car radio audio for the movie. My only suggestion is to maybe park towards the middle or back if you have kids so you can make the restrooms easily for them. It's worth the expense and is a fun family outing. Bring in some snacks and enjoy. Take the time to go. Go enjoy an era of fun that has a long standing tradition and place American Movie History. We will do it again for sure. The screen is plenty big. Great quality.

I came here for my first drive-in experience and loved it. We wanted to get a good spot so we arrived very early and was second in line at the gates. Most people arrived just 20 min or so before the gates opened. The screen is big and in great condition. There are not speakers so you have to either use your car or bring an FM radio. They also have radios to rent for under $10, but you'll need to put a refundable deposit down on your card to make sure you don't steal it after the show. They offer many concessions including hot dogs, chicken tenders, pulled pork sandwiches, and typical movie theater snacks. The bathrooms were clean. Definitely a fun spot, a nicely run operation!

We LOVED this place! I've known about it for quite some time (Thank you Facebook), but we never made the time to get over here. Last Saturday we were looking for something to get into and figured it would be a great night for a drive in movie!

We bought our tickets at the gate. For two adults and two children we paid around $34. It's cheaper than a typical movie, so no issues there for us! We arrived around 6:50 and we were one of the first few vehicles there. We wanted to get there early to make sure we got the perfect spot. We parked and got our site all set up. Make sure you bring your chairs and blankets.. especially for those cool fall evenings. After that, we walked over to the concessions building. They had home cooked pork sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, popcorn, and ice cream. It was all super reasonably priced too!

All in all, we had a great experience at this family owned establishment. We 100% will be back!

They are doing a great job with social distancing. A lot has changed since last summer. The drive-in is always nicely maintained and has clean restrooms. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Signs at the restroom, ask you to limit numbers and stay apart.

I wasn't aware when I bought the tickets that the snack bar was closed. For $5 extra you can pay to bring your own food, or you have to order from the their website. We thought we could order there, but couldn't. If you don't have a smart phone you are out of luck. It is easy to order and you line up to pick up your food by the snack bar (6 ft apart).

Staff were masked and walking around to ensure that cars were staying at least 6 feet apart with a pool noodle to measure. Some people that were being loud or had headlights on during the movie were asked by staff to correct the issue. I like that they walk around and do this.

This was my second time ever going to a drive in, and it was a great experience. In fact, I think this is my new favorite drive in!!

As soon as this placed re-opened, I had really wanted to try it out for a movie. Of course it took me about half a year to come here, but better late than never!

I really like the set up and the private area it's in. It cost about $22 for two adults for a double feature. When we came, they were showing Aladdin and Dumbo, however we only stayed for the first movie since it ended around 11:30 and we were about to pass out!

The screen is really big and has great quality to it. You can either tune into a certain radio station to get the sound (While your car is in accessory mode so it doesn't run down your battery,) or you can bring your own radio. Some people sit in the back of trucks, some bring chairs/blankets, or some just stay in their car. They also have a concession stand and staff walking around during the movie if anyone gets hungry!

I'd love to come back here again. It's something different to do, especially for summer!

We've had to continue to social distance due to medical issues, but just recently found out about this drive-in theater not far from us. I'm so glad we did and I so wish we'd found them sooner! I was hesitant since many people feel Covid is just not a concern anymore, but it remains a concern for us. I contacted Sauerbeck via Facebook Messenger ahead of time with my concerns--they were understanding and kindly gave me pointers on how to make our visit contactless. It was a great success! We had an absolute blast seeing the new Top Gun movie, and we were thrilled to finally be able to take our 6-year-old out to do something different and fun! Of course it was a super late night for him but it was so worth it! I had read reviews here first and was a bit concerned, but we had no issues at all, and the screen looked great--it looked better the darker it got outside of course, but there was no "corrugated" look that was noticeable to us. I've included a pic I took during the trailers, so it's not as bright as it was once the movie got underway, but you can see in the pic that it doesn't show a distracting texture on the screen. We had a great view even from off to the side, which surprised me. I'm so glad we found this place. Five stars for sure!
