The 43-year-old critic, who is the son of the Duchess of Cornwall, is said to have left the home he shared with fashion writer Sarah Buys, 44, and their two children.

According to reports, friends of the couple have claimed the pair have had marital problems “for some time” and Tom is now renting a home two miles away in West London.

A source told The Sun: "They are being very clear the separation is not final and they are not getting divorced. There is no one else involved.

“The concern of both Tom and Sara is for the stability and happiness of their children.”

Food critic Tom starred on BBC2’s MasterChef: The Professionals in 2017 and has also hosted various other cooking shows.

Reports have also claimed that despite the alleged split, the pair may still attend Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May together.

Tom exchanged vows with his wife at a lavish ceremony in Oxfordshire which included Mick Jagger, Hugh Grant and Joanna Lumley as guests.

Sarah previously revealed that she had panic attacks from being the centre of attention on her big day.

She said: “I definitely had quite a few panic attacks before the day.”

Meanwhile, Tom previously spoke of the time he was forced to avoid the news regarding his mother’s relationship with Prince Charles.

He said: “I sort of remember not looking at the paper. Because, you know, Jesus, the things that we've all said to people that we love… that you wouldn't want the world reading.

“I just felt p***ed off. I wasn't going to read that sort of stuff about my mother, just as much as she wouldn't want to read it about me or my kids certainly wouldn't want to read it about me.”

A royal biographer previously claimed that Charles was told to marry Camilla by the Queen’s most senior aide in a bid to stop adultery claims.

He said:  “A man who for decades had dedicated himself to duty, to doing the right thing, suddenly put everything he stood for and had worked for in jeopardy because of Camilla.

“Peat was having none of that. He went to the Prince and told him very clearly that either Mrs Parker Bowles had to go — or he had to marry her.

“They could not, under any circumstances, continue as they were.”
