Established in 1922, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital is one of the leading private hospitals in Hong Kong. Thanks to the former Medical Superintendent Dr. LI Shu Fan, the Hospital became one of the local pioneers of Western Medicine in introducing state-of-the-art equipment to Hong Kong and expanding medical services.
Over the past century, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital has grown from a 28-bed nursing home to a leading and integrated private healthcare provider with about 650 beds and more than 30 specialty centres. The growth of the Hospital has been intricately bound with that of Hong Kong. Not only the Hospital offers the most advanced medical technology and high-quality care, but also plays an active role in fostering medical research and clinical education in collaboration with local universities.
With the formation of HKSH Medical Group (HKSH) in 2015, members of the Group including Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, HKSH Healthcare and HKSH Eastern Medical Centre, HKSH continues to stay committed to its motto “Quality in Service • Excellence in Care”.
