How to get from Los Angeles International Airport to Downtown

It takes less than 30 minutes to drive from our rental car offices at LAX to Downtown LA.

1. Exit the Hertz LAX rental car center on Airport Boulevard.
2. Take the right two lanes onto S La Tijera Boulevard.
3. Use the three left lanes onto La Cienega Boulevard.
4. Turn slightly right on to Fairfax Avenue, then right on to Washington Boulevard.
5. Take another right to merge onto I-10 E/Santa Monica Freeway.
6. Leave at exit towards the Convention Center.
7. Follow signs for Grand Avenue and turn left onto S Olive Street.
8. Continue on until you reach Downtown LA.

How to get from Los Angeles International Airport to San Francisco

It takes six hours to drive the 387 miles to San Francisco from LAX. Take I-5 N and merge onto I-580. Alternatively, for a breathtaking scenic drive, take the Pacific Highway for incredible views of the Californian coast.
