I attended the Social Media Marketing World conference and I was so impressed. The location is amazing. Beautiful area to walk around in-between workshops.

This convention center has a great location, right on the harbor, so taking a break you can go out on a terrasse. The design is very linear, so it can be a hike between meeting rooms. The front opens in one part to gaslight district (many restaurants), but there are only a couple crossings to the rest of town. A big street and rail road plus Tram line block off access. The tram is very convenient to get to the Rail Station (transfer to a bus to the airport) or to harbor areas.

We were here as a distributor partnering with our suppliers. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to navigate this venue. Attendance was down a bit this year.

I've been traveling to San Diego for various professional conventions over the years. I really like that this building is LEED certified. It feels modern and not over used. The building itself makes use of natural light around all sides. The views of the harbor and Coronado are lovely. i think it's the best place to catch a sunset. The halls themselves are spacious, restrooms are clean and the staff have been really kind and cheerful.
