Brandon Funston The Athletic | Just 14 touches in Week 10 as NOLA easing him back into featured role coming off ankle sprain - TDs way down but silver lining is career-best 5.9 rec. per game | Has done little since his 9/198/3 line in Week 1, but his numbers in 16 games in KC (inc. playoffs) are worthy - 73 catches, 1108 YFS, 6 TDs |
Mike Tagliere FantasyPros | There were some who were concerned about Kamara's role coming back from his ankle injury, and if they had any concerns, they weren't laid to rest after he totaled just 12 touches against the Falcons in Week 10. The fact that Latavius Murray totaled just seven touches should make you feel even better about Kamara's role, as that's a 63/37 split, which is great. This duo has averaged 27.8 touches per game prior to the Falcons game this year, which would amount to 17.5 touches per game for Kamara. He's still an elite RB1, so go and gauge what it would take to acquire him. | |
Dan Harris FantasyPros | Kamara looks likely to return in Week 10 after the Saints' bye. He should be fully recovered from his various injuries and take over the lead duty role for the team once again. Latavius Murray was effective in Kamara's stead, and may earn a bigger piece of the running back pie going forward. But Kamara should still be a top-five back, particular in half- and full-PPR formats going forward. | Watkins added a hamstring injury to his shoulder woes in Week 5 against the Colts, and appears likely to miss at least a little time. Outside of Week 1, when few people were starting him, Watkins had been a major disappointment despite the absence of Tyreek Hill. Now with injury concerns of his own, Watkins is still a rosterable option, but likely not one that you'll be able to or want to start anytime soon. |
Bobby Sylvester FantasyPros | Kamara has managed to finish as a top five fantasy running back in each season despite only being a workhorse for four games in that stretch. Now that Mark Ingram is gone, there is a chance he runs away with the league lead in fantasy points like Gurley did the last two seasons. With that said, Latavius Murray may jump right into Ingram's role and perhaps even vulture extra touchdowns. | Watkins hasn't received for 600 or more yards in any of the last three seasons. Granted, he has plenty of skill and perhaps the best quarterback in football but with both Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce ahead of him, Watkins is nothing more than a WR3. |
