Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have been going strong for six years now, and they're still beaming in their honeymoon phase.

Since 2016, the fitness trainer and model has been Spears's ultimate cheerleader, gushing over the singer's strength in multiple interviews and incessantly advocating for her well-being and freedom throughout the better half of her 13-year conservatorship and beyond.

Meanwhile, the pop star has been outspoken online about her ceaseless affection toward her now husband, flaunting not only Asghari's external assets, but above all, his demonstrated support of her personal growth, health, and ultimate happiness.

December 8, 2022: Asghari addresses Spears's recent social media break.

Asghari responds to fans' questions and concerns surrounding the singer's recently deactivated Instagram account following her sudden string of posts about her two estranged sons and sister, Jamie Lynn Spears.

"Social media can be traumatizing. Sometimes it's good to take a break," Asghari writes on his Instagram Stories. "She has her voice and is a free woman."

Asghari also clarifies the reason why he doesn't share too many photos with Spears on his Instagram, as well as why she has remained absent from public events.

"I have respect for her privacy and I protect it at all times," Asghari says. "Out of respect for her privacy, I don't post her 247. I ask for permission if I ever do."

He continues, "For her, [public events] are not fun. They're [hectic] and full of stress. Specially since she's been doing these things since 8 years old. Plus she already slayed every single one she has been to."

December 2, 2022: They celebrate Spears's birthday.

Asghari shows all his love and support to his now wife on her 41st birthday—her first since marrying the trainer—when he surprises her with flowers, balloons, and a cake.

"My husband surprised me ✨🎂🎈!!!" Spears writes on Instagram. "I'm sick with the flu and he came downstairs … he was pretty f---ing smooth !!!! I love you 🥰😘 !!!! It's Mr. and Mrs. Asghari 💍💍💍 !!!"

Later, in an Instagram video, Asghari shares a glimpse into his preparation process for the occasion.

"Today's your girl's birthday. Been together for a few years, you're starting to run out of ideas," he says in a voice-over in the clip. "You've gotta be creative, fellas. … You will never have enough balloons. The more, the better. Regular guys just buy flowers, but you're not a regular guy, so you buy a bunch of rose petals and place them like a classic man."

June 9, 2022: They get married.

The two officially tie the knot in a star-studded Los Angeles ceremony and reception of 60 guests, including famous friends Madonna, Paris Hilton, and Drew Barrymore, among other stars. Spears walks down the aisle in a custom Versace gown to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love," according to People.

April 11, 2022: Spears announces that she's expecting.

The singer excitedly shares the news that she and Asghari are expecting their first child together just months ahead of their wedding. In the post, she also refers to her fiancé as her "husband."

In a statement posted to her Story, she writes, "I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ … I thought 'Geez … what happened to my stomach ???' My husband said 'No you're food pregnant silly 🤪 !!!' So I got a pregnancy test," Spears wrote, "and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼 …"

A month later, on May 14, the couple reveals the tragic news that Spears suffered a miscarriage.

"It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy," the two write in a joint statement on Instagram. "This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to share the good news."

September 29, 2021: Asghari celebrates Jamie Spears's official suspension.

Asghari takes to Instagram to celebrate the news of California judge Brenda Penny's official ruling to suspend Jamie Spears from overseeing the pop singer's estate—a huge win for Spears amid her conservatorship legal battle.

"Free Britney! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!" he writes on his Instagram Story.

In additional slides, he shares a shot of him offering a pink rose to the singer, as well as a symbolic photo of a lioness, referencing his endearing nickname for Spears.

"She did this ... Her fan base is called the army for a reason," he writes.

Per E! News, the two are now looking forward to their new life of possibilities together.

"[Spears] is excited to be around more people and be able to be out and about as she pleases," a source tells the outlet. "It's very liberating and exciting to her. This is the happiest she has been in a very long time, and she is soaking it all in."

"[Spears and Asghari] are enjoying the engagement and want to keep traveling together," the insider continues. "Britney feels she has more exciting options and opportunities, and her life is turning around for the better."

September 12, 2021: They get engaged.

Asghari officially gets down on one knee and proposes to Spears, who excitedly shares the news on Instagram. Spears posts a photo of her sharing a sweet kiss with Asghari while flaunting her dazzling custom four-carat diamond ring, which is engraved on the inside with Asghari's pet name for Britney, lioness.

"I can't fucking believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!" the singer writes in the caption.

Asghari's manager, Brandon Cohen, additionally confirms the engagement to People, saying in a statement, "The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them."

June 23, 2021: Asghari supports Spears online during her remote conservatorship trial case.

Asghari is Spears's biggest cheerleader on social media throughout her official remote conservatorship hearing, during which Spears speaks out directly against her father's stifling years-long legal arrangement for the first time.

In an address to Judge Brenda Penny, Spears shares a multitude of grievances surrounding the conservatorship, admitting that she put on a happy facade for the public and lied about her well-being for years.

"I am not happy, I can't sleep. I'm so angry, it's insane," Spears says in her statement. "It's not okay to force me to do anything I don't want to," she continues, while adding, "I have an IUD inside of myself so that I don't get pregnant, but [my team doesn't] want me to have any more children."

At the outset of the trial, Asghari shares a selfie on his Instagram Story of him wearing a #FreeBritney shirt alongside a lion emoji in the top-left corner, demonstrating his unwavering moral support for the singer.

"Sam has been a huge support for Britney," a source tells Page Six. "He helps boost her confidence and assures her that everything will go well."

February 8-9, 2021: Asghari breaks his silence on Spears's conservatorship battle.

Following the unauthorized release of The New York Times' Hulu documentary Framing Britney Spears, which explores the pop singer's early life and ongoing conservatorship, Asghari clarifies his support for the singer and her right to carve out her own future.

"I have always wanted nothing but the best for my better half, and will continue to support her following her dreams and creating the future she wants and deserves," he says in an exclusive with People. "I am thankful for all of the love and support she is receiving from her fans all over the world, and I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together."

The following day on Instagram, Asghari also expresses his cutting remarks surrounding Spears's father, who has continued to reinforce the conservatorship that cost Spears her freedom and well-being.

"Now it's important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way," he bluntly writes on his Stories. "In my opinion Jamie [Spears] is a total dick."

"I won't be going into details because I've always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn't come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom," the Iranian-born model adds.

December 2, 2019: Asghari commemorates Spears on her birthday.

The trainer dedicates a sweet Instagram post to Spears on her 38th birthday that features a video of them ice skating.

"We live, we laugh, we argue, and most of all we LOVE," he writes in the caption. "There's a reason why the world fell in love with you! You might be the princess of pop but mostly you're my princess 👸 Biggest Happy Birthday to you @britneyspears 🎆 My Ass still hurts from falling and breaking the ice 😂😂😂😂 you get it?"

July 23, 2019: They make their film premiere debut.

The two attend their first film premiere together for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in Los Angeles. In the rare series of photos of the two of them in public, the two pose lovingly with one another on the red carpet and share an affectionate kiss.

April 3, 2019: Asghari supports Spears during her mental health treatment.

Asghari stands by the pop singer as she undergoes multiple treatments for her mental health at a wellness facility following the news that her father, Jamie Spears, dealt with a serious health scare from a spontaneous colon rupture. The news also compels Spears to take an indefinite hiatus from rehearsals for her Las Vegas show to support her father.

"There is no question that Sam is great for Britney," a source tells People. "He has a very positive influence on her. He is very motivated to stay healthy and fit, and they often work out together."

The insider adds that Asghari often cooks healthy meals for the singer and that, all in all, "he is a wonderful boyfriend."

July 17, 2018: Asghari gushes over Spears in a rare interview.

In a feature with Men's Health, Asghari affectionately opens up about Spears and their relationship and everything it's shown him.

"She motivates me more than anyone," he says. "It's crazy how I can be humbled by a person like her. If I could be that humble when I'm that high in life, that would be the best thing. I grew up with three sisters, and my personality is just to be a supportive person for my family and she's family. I'm always going to support her. She is another blessing that happened to me."

He adds that the two regularly work out together in the singer's home gym.

"Working out together is always nice and we try to do it a couple times," says Asghari. "It's super healthy, mentally and physically. It takes your mind off of everything else."

April 12, 2018: Asghari joins Spears at the GLAAD Media Awards.

In a rare official outing, Asghari and Spears attend the LGBT-dedicated awards ceremony, where Spears is honored with the Vanguard Award.

February 5, 2018: Spears gushes over Asghari on Instagram.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Spears gives her boyfriend a sweet shout-out for making her happy and helping her grow.

"I've been with this man for over a year," she captions a photo of her with Asghari on a hike near a waterfall. "Everyday he inspires me to be a better person and that makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world!! 🌈🌸❤."

January 1, 2018: They ring in their second New Year's.

The two celebrate New Year's together again, this time by getting cozy at home. Spears shares a sweet video on Instagram featuring the two acting affectionate with each other while using a cute Snapchat filter.

"You look beautiful," Asghari tells Spears in the video, to which the singer says, "Thank you, and I love you."

"Happy New Year from me and my partner in crime," Spears writes in the caption.

February 14, 2017: They celebrate their first Valentine's Day.

Days after Spears brings Asghari along as her date to the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala, the pair also go all out for their first Valentine's Day, renting a $30 million villa in Malibu for the intimate occasion. Spears also brings along her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline—whom she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline—demonstrating her serious intentions with the model.

January 2017: They go Instagram official.

Following dating rumors since November of the previous year, the two feature one another on their Instagram accounts, with photos revealing that the two spent New Year's Eve together at Catch nightclub in Los Angeles.

Spears later clarifies the timeline of their romance in a radio interview that same month. Speaking with AMP 103.7's Fast in the Morning with Nathan Fast and Sybil Summers, the singer reveals that she and Asghari's reconnection was thanks to her spur-of-the-moment decision to dig up his phone number five months after their meeting.

"I was like, 'He was really cute, this guy was really cute,' so I called him," she shares in the radio interview. "He's just a really fun, funny person."

November 18, 2016: Asghari appears in Spears's music video.

The two first meet in October 2016 on the set of Spears's music video for "Slumber Party," where Asghari appears as one of the background models. Soon after the video's release, Asghari shares a since-deleted mirror selfie on Instagram of him posing closely next to Spears, spurring romance rumors.

Asghari confesses years later that he immediately got butterflies while meeting the pop star for the first time outside of work.

"She said, 'Hi, I'm Britney,' and I said, 'I'm sorry. What's your name again?'" Asghari recalls of their first encounter in his 2018 interview with Men's Health. "I tried to be funny. I don't think anybody got it."
