She’s had amazing opportunities in the competition dance world. She got a scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for Dance in New York City. Despite the opportunities, her sights are 100% set on becoming a DCC. Season 13[]

(13.1)

  • [Prelims] "This is something I’ve always dreamed about. My mom was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I’m so ready! I’m so excited! I’m so pumped!"
  • (Biography)
  • "I’m about to step on stage, and my dream comes down to these 90 seconds."
  • "The competition is very high and I can’t wait to see who all makes it."

(13.2)

  • [Dancing on stadium field for judges] "I’m very hot and sweaty. I didn’t realize how hot it was dancing here on the field."
  • [Dancing with Phil Whitfield (AT&T Stadium security and tour guide) while judges deliberate] "Phil is the cheerleader of cheerleaders. We’re just dancing with him right now and we are having a blast."
  • "I would dance with Phil all day, every day, if I could. Phil, you are the man!"
  • "If (Kelli and Judy) call my name today for finals, I will be so ecstatic. This is just one step closer."
  • "Oh, God. If Miss Kelli and Miss Judy don’t call my name today, oh I don’t even want to think about it! I don’t. I don’t want that to be a possibility."

(13.3)

  • [Veterans arrive to finals] "That’s their form of intimidation right there."
  • "My number one goal in my entire life was to become a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. My solo just kind of told the story of my journey to be here and perform."
  • [Stumbles on field] "Oh my gosh! I have to admit my turns were a little off, but I smiled and hopefully charmed my way through."
  • "I made it to training camp!"/Tina (Victoria's mom): "I’m just so excited. All that hard work has paid off, honey. I’m so proud of you."

(13.5)

  • [Alumni practice] "It definitely helps to get feedback from the alumni today, just because they’ve been on this team and on this squad, so they know exactly the style that Kelli and Judy are looking for."
  • "Oh my gosh! That’s Coach Jason Garrett!"
  • [Office visits announced] "Getting called in, this is like my worst nightmare coming to life. If tonight was my last night, oh my God. I knew that I left it all out there. I’m sorry. I’m nervous! I’m so scared!"
  • [Before office] "I felt really good about my rehearsal today, but not being told anything or given any feedback was weird. Oh my God, I don’t want to get emotional about this. It’s not my last night. I’m not going to think that way."
  • [After office] "I’m so glad I’m not cut. That’s just a relief. Oh my gosh. I have a dance room in my house, so I’ll definitely be there for probably the next 24 hours before rehearsal tomorrow. I am making this team."

(13.6)

  • [First jump split practice] "The jump split’s very scary. It’s going to be a rough night."
  • [Uniform fitting] "Today, we are here at the Star, and we are trying on our uniforms for the first time and getting fitted with Ms. Lisa Dobson and Kelli."
  • "I have been waiting to put on this uniform my entire life. I’m freaking out a little bit and I’m just so excited."
  • [Jay (Johnson)'s Power Squad session] "Whoo! That’s all I can say. Jay knows how to work us out."
  • [Crying, after Jasmin’s cut] "It’s just a little bit emotional because one of my best friends from training camp just got cut. We had a dream of making this team together, so seeing her go home tonight is hard."

(13.7)

  • [Injury prevention workshop] "Oh, my gosh. I’m going to be sore tomorrow, I know that for sure, and I don’t usually say that very often."
  • [Before office] "I don’t want to go home, but if I only make it this far, it’ll be heartbreaking, but let’s just hope I make it all the way."
  • [After office] "I’m ready to go attack and show them all next rehearsal that I’ve worked. I’m worried about making this team, and just being able to dance on that field."

(13.8)

  • "Going into rehearsal after my office visit from last week, I just want to dance my living tail off for (Kelli and Judy). I can’t hold back anything at this point. You just have to keep pushing harder and harder each week."
  • [Before office] "I’m getting called into the office for the third time. Oh my God. My heart rate’s going at 131 beats per minute right now. So, it’s racing. It’s very nervous. I’m nervous. Having (Kelli and Judy) have seven more cuts… what if I’m that seven that needs to be cut? What if I’m one of them? Third time!"
  • [After office] "I know I’m not at my best right now. I’m so thankful that (Kelli and Judy) told me, and that they’re giving me an opportunity to fix."

(13.9)

  • "Last week, seeing Dayton go home was heartbreaking. Dayton’s mom was a DCC as was my mom. Just because you’re a legacy, you can still go home."
  • [First time learning field entrance] "There’s just so many things to think about for this one little entrance. I didn’t realize how specific your foot had to be on the yard line."

(13.10)

  • "It is so exciting know that I possibly could have a spot in the triangle. Even if it’s temporary, having a spot in the triangle right now feels amazing."
  • [Before office] "I feel a little big discouraged. This is my fourth time getting called into the office, but you never know what’s going through (Kelli and Judy's) heads. Last time I got called in because of my weight, and I feel like I see progress. Maybe they don’t, so I have no idea what this office visit is going to be like."
  • [After office, teary] "(Kelli and Judy) said they are prepared for me to go home, and that my immaturity is showing the further along that we go. I think I can work hard enough to make this team this year."
  • "Kelli and Judy have given me four chances to redeem myself. So, my dream is on the line right now. I can’t hold back any longer. I have to let it all out and I just have to dance my booty off."

(13.11)

  • [Cameos] "It’s very nerve-wracking knowing that (Kelli and Judy) are talking about you. Because I mean, they get to zoom in on your face, they get to zoom in on your body."
  • "First game, walking out onto that field, that’s where my head is at. That’s where I want to be. I just need to go in full force, like a bull in China… what’s that reference?"
  • [Etiquette dining training] "You never know when you’re going to be in front of the Jones family or any sponsor, so it’s just important for us to be on our best behavior and be well-mannered all the time."
  • "I have never had quail. I know that’s a seafood…"

(13.12)

  • "I am feeling the pressure a lot, just because seeing Dayton go home as a legacy, seeing a veteran go home, anyone can get cut."
  • "I wouldn’t say I’m to the point of cracking just yet, but my heart’s racing. I’m just trying to work as hard as I can."
  • [Stands in wrong place on player introductions practice] "I don’t want to be the one that is a sore thumb right now. Tonight, if I look a sore thumb, that could mean something bad. Gotta keep pushing and gotta get through this rehearsal."
  • "This is a huge night tonight just because it could either be your last night here or it could solidify that you’re on this team. So, we just have to push that much harder tonight than ever before."
  • [Before office] "I think Kelli and Judy like my big and bold self, so I need to show that for sure, and not be shy or sad or emotional in there. (Gets teary) If tonight is my last night… it’s just, I can’t think about it."
  • [After cut, teary] "I don’t even think I can speak. I really don’t. There’s always another year. Especially next year. Just another year to prepare and get to my A-plus-plus self."

Season 14[]

(14.1)

  • Coming in as a legacy so young, and I think I was overwhelmed last year,
  • There’s such a tiny space to dance our biggest and boldest. I guess I just went a little too bold. Hopefully, they did see that I slipped.
  • [Makes semifinals] Going through the process already, I know what to expect walking into tomorrow. But, the nerves will most likely be there, so I just still have to dance as big and bold as I can.

(14.2)

  • I would say today is very crucial. Say it determines whether or not I’ll move forward to being one step closer to achieving my dreams.

(14.3)

  • Those negative comments, I use them as fuel. I want to show everyone that this is my goal, and I am going to achieve it.
  • Last year, getting cut, I don’t really like to look back on the past. This is a new me, and I feel as though it’s a better version of myself and I’m here to present that to them.

(14.4)

  • We’re at The Star today and this is the beginning of training camp. It’s our first meeting with Kelli and Judy and us all together as training camp candidates and veterans, all in one.
  • Last year, I didn’t think that I could grow anymore. But really, I do feel as though I’ve matured, I’ve changed myself. And I know how to be the best version of myself.

(14.5)

  • Today, we are here at The Star for uniform fittings. It would be such an honor to be able to represent this organization by wearing that uniform.
  • Travis pointed me out along with two other rookies. This is fuel to make this team and to get through training camp.

(14.7)

  • [Makeovers] I feel older this way. It makes me feel like a woman.
  • I have worked very hard not only to make this team, but to be a part of show group for a whole year. So, hopefully they say that this is the “A plus” version that wasn’t here last year, but is here today.
  • Making show group this year after coming back, it made my heart stop.

(14.8)

  • I am a Dallas girl, so I’ve grown up around this area, and I thought it would be fun to take my two out-of-towners here today to try out this new salon with me.
  • We walked out feeling so refreshed Now, it is back to the grind to go practice

(14.9)

  • [In DCC locker room] Just being in here today just made it kind of a little bit more emotional. I’m this close to making my dreams come true and to hopefully seeing one of my photos up on this locker and having my name and just an area for 36 of us. And, oh my God, I’m going to get teary-eyed.

(14.11)

  • [Cameos] This could be my rookie photo and they are going to do everything in their power to make you look the best.
  • [Cooking challenge] We get southwest quinoa shrimp bowl, and we are probably the two that are not the most confident in cooking. So, it’ll be a challenge today for sure. Oh boy, here we go.
  • [Cooking challenge] We were struggling at first, but then our team definitely came together. It tasted so well and it was definitely Instagram worthy.

(14.12)

  • [Show group] This is a huge dream come true of mine, so I’m just excited to step on the field for the first time in boots and in uniform.
  • [Show group] A lot of important people are here today watching us. But I have to say the person I love seeing in the audience today was my mom. I just hope I can keep this uniform, not just have my mom as my mom but a sisterhood connecting us with the Dallas Cowboys Organization.
  • We are down to the last few cuts, so now that the show group performance is done, it’s back to training camp to push for our spot on this team and hopefully to stay on show group and the team of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

(14.13)

  • [Makes team] This is a dream come true. This is A-plus-plus-plus-plus-plus Victoria.
  • [In the tunnel] The energy of the crowd is crazy already. And I just cannot wait to hear them go even more crazy when we step out onto the field.
  • [Retrospective, with flashbacks] Last year, getting cut, it was definitely a time where I was questioning whether or not I’m worthy enough, because I did get beat up not just from myself but from other people, so I was questioning whether or not I wanted to go through this process again. And I can certainly tell you that this was all worth it. Going through the first audition process, to getting cut, to getting back into training camp, and finally putting on this uniform and having it be mine was totally all worth it.

Commentary[]

Season 13[]

(13.1)

  • "This year, we have two legacy cheerleaders trying out. We have Dayton, who is the daughter of Shelly, and we have Victoria, who is the daughter of Tina. I actually expect more out of a legacy candidate because she’s grown up around this and she knows what’s expected and she has all the insight to be the most prepared person at that audition." – Kelli
  • "Victoria is coming out big, and she coming out bold. I was proud. I was actually kind of almost tearful when I saw her, because I started having flashbacks of her mom and me. She’s strong. She’d make her mom proud." – Kelli
  • [Preliminaries judging] "She was a standout." – Charlotte/"She did stand out." – Kelli
  • "I’ve known Victoria her whole life, but I haven’t seen her in our audition environment. All the judges were wowed by her." – Kelli

(13.2)

  • "She’s demanding attention." – Kelli
  • [Semifinals judging] "She was very little, soft. I’m like, you’re showing up here for auditions. You need to kind of pull it together. It was sloppy. It was all over the place. Like she wasn’t controlled. It was wild"./"I have exactly the opposite." – Charlotte/"Really?"/"Yes. I have “fabulous dancer, lots of control. Big, powerful, takes the whole floor.” I think she and the girl next to her really kind of owned that line." – Charlotte/"I put the same thing. I put double checks on the dance, and I wouldn’t want to be in her group." – Kelli

(13.3)

  • "That’s beautiful, it really is, and I know you’re going to do great." – Kitty Carter
  • [Finals] "Thankfully, she’s earning the respect of everybody in the room with this solo. I wouldn’t want Victoria to have an advantage just because of her relationship with me through her mother. She kind of was one of the most passionate, emotional solos of the day." – Kelli
  • "So good, I’m proud of her. I’m really crying!" – Brenda/"So is she. Kelli’s crying too." – Charlotte
  • [Victoria stumbles] "Oh, hold on!" – Charlotte
  • [Finals judging] "She was so messy to me. Wild child to me. Just calm down a little bit. You’re here; it’s all right."/"That’s why I like her. Just let her out of the gate and she’s gone." – Jay Johnson/"But does she have the steam to finish? Because in her kicks, toward the end she was fading."/"I gave her a maybe." – Jay

(13.5)

  • "If I were dancing next to Victoria, I would dance huge, because you obviously love to do this, and you look so confident. You look like maybe you’ve been watching this your whole life." – Pamela Purcel

(13.6)

  • "Victoria went through the traditional rookie uniform fitting, and then I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try to recreate a picture that her mother and I took the day of our rookie uniform fitting." – Kelli

(13.7)

  • "She was actually my favorite out of the rookies." – Travis Wall
  • "Denise (Dicharry) did not notice Victoria at rehearsal tonight, and I wanted to visit about that further." – Kelli

(13.8)

  • "I felt like Victoria was almost behind the beat a smidge, because you’re bigger and your movements go beyond the tempo." – Kelli
  • "I think she’s talented. Her kicks are above 90. She’s got legs forever." – Kitty Carter/"Technically, she’s a great dancer. She’s kind of almost been out of control with some of the choreography." – Kelli
  • "What this board is telling me is Dayton is not in it yet, Victoria’s not in." – Kelli/"I think Victoria’s ready." – Kitty/"She’s gained 11 pounds since auditions, and it shows, and everybody’s noticed it." – Kelli/"Give her at least the respect to get it off. She’s been in your program since she was 10." – Kitty/"Judy, you’re being quiet." – Kelli/"Say what you’re thinking." – Judy/"Somebody has to go home now." – Kelli

(13.9)

  • [Field entrance] "Victoria needs a half size or size smaller boot probably, if you’re kicking them off." – Judy

(13.10)

  • [Media training] "I wouldn’t put a camera or a microphone near Victoria after today right now." – Kelli
  • "You were guilty of this one. You can’t do your head so far over and you flip your hair back that it looks like a completely different move. That eight is just an “up”." – Judy
  • "Something happened prior to rehearsal between Jinelle and Victoria. Jinelle’s volunteered her time to help Victoria with nutrition, and I’m not accusing anybody of dishonesty, but there is something that’s not adding up, and I want to explore that." – Kelli
  • [Before office visit] "I heard a little discussion about some appointments that Jinelle had made for Victoria to see a nutritionist and doctor, and it sounds like there was some disconnect on Victoria’s part. I want to find out what that’s about." – Kelli
  • "You’re containing too much. You’re losing your poppy edge that you’ve had. Your sharpness. You look like you were holding back." – Judy

(13.11)

  • [Cameos] "I’m not sure if today’s helping or not with Victoria. In one sense, she is not at her trimmest state, but she’s got probably the best hair and the best legs in the room." – Kelli
  • [Group leaders meeting] "Victoria, on the field looked beautiful. She was talk, she had presence. Lily, on the field, impressed me, to be honest. Because in the studio, she would rush her music, but Victoria sometimes says stuff, and I’m like, did you think about before you said it? [Flashback to Victoria talking about being called into the office] And if when I have to give my final (sticker) I would say (Lily)." – KaShara
  • [Looking at board] "Now that we’ve had the group leaders participate, the lowest is Kristin, Victoria, and Ashlee." – Kelli
  • "Then at the next rehearsal, we need to be prepared to say goodbye to Ashlee, Victoria, and Kristin." – Kelli/"You’re right." – Judy
  • "Lily is fun." – Kelli/"But Victoria is more musical." – Judy/"No question there." – Kelli

(13.12)

  • [Rehearsing signature dance] "You see what I saw?" – Judy/"Is Victoria struggling with her kicks? … Victoria’s end pose is pretty, but I thought her kicks were heavy." – Kelli
  • "You were late on the leg lift. And it can’t be because of the boots because we can’t use that excuse." – Judy
  • "When you all first got to your triangle, Victoria was on the wrong foot." – Judy
  • [After cut] "Victoria will rebound. She’s tough, she’s strong, she has huge potential here, and I hope she comes back." – Kelli

(13.13)

  • [End-of-season retrospective] "This particular year, with the two legacies, it’s been difficult and emotional because I know them personally. I believe in both Dayton and Victoria’s potential here, but it’s still heartbreaking." – Kelli

Season 14[]

(14.2)

  • [Semifinals judging] She looks great./ Yeah./ She worked hard./ One thing that I thought this year is that the focus is different. – Randy/ Last year was a wake-up call, I feel like./ I agree./ When you get smoked in life, there’s something to be said for the comeback. – Randy

(14.3)

  • Oh, god. – K/ Beautiful. – J

  • Victoria’s got the legs, and more. – K
  • [Finals judging] She worked hard, took everything that she learned and she came back and nailed everything. – Charlotte/ I was hard on her last year. Like, she was wild, all over the place. A completely different girl. – Scott

(14.4)

  • We had 17 that scored perfectly, and the one rookie candidate that we have in that group is Victoria. – K
  • I put that you came out of the gate just strong. I almost couldn’t take my eyes off of you to watch these. – K
  • I think Victoria looks like you could give her a uniform. – Jennifer C

(14.5)

  • If I was going to pick my favorite dance, I think Victoria would win for sure. – Travis Wall
  • [One of those selected by Travis Wall for standing out]
  • I love watching Kelcey and Victoria. – K
  • I can’t take my eyes off you for sure. I don’t know, I loved you last year and you have definitely just grown and grown and grown, so congrats on that. – Travis Wall
  • For me, Victoria was my favorite today and she’s a newbie, but she was my favorite last year, but to me she was the best one in the room. – Travis Wall

(14.6)

  • [Picking squad] Victoria is a yes. – Charm La’Donna

(14.7)

  • I really like Victoria. – Melissa Rycroft
  • [Show group judging] She has improved so much from last year. Like… – Jacie/ Hasn’t she? – K/ Yeah. I feel like she’s a little bit more confident and more sure of herself and that stood out to me. – Jacie/ I thought she was a standout today. She did really well. – Melissa/ I didn’t see her. – Cheryl Burke/ Didn’t get your attention on that stage? – K/ Didn’t stand out. – Cheryl

(14.10)

  • Victoria looks awesome. – K

(14.11)

  • [Cameos] That soft smile is pretty. – J/ Yeah. [Her hair] is definitely too heavy right there. [Calls over Marshall]. I’m being picky because this is the picture that we’re probably going to publish. – K
  • [Cameos] That was cute. – K
  • [Relocated in formation] Victoria’s power and style might elevate the performance of Meredith and Lily. – K
  • [Relocated in formation] Victoria is so spot on with the music, that I really think this is going to help that rookie line, because they’ve been struggling so far dancing next to each other. – J

(14.13)

  • I thought Victoria looked amazing. I thought she was beautiful. I thought she was sexy. I thought she was fun and energetic. She went the spectrum of all of it. – Charlotte
  • Victoria’s been a rock star. I mean, she just came back one of the strongest people in all of training camp. – K
  • Victoria worked so hard for this. It was a definite year of transformation, that’s for sure. My husband’s the one that cried like a baby. – Tina Kalina
  • [Telling them to go to the white line] What color is under your feet? – K/ Yellow. – Victoria/ White is this color. – K/ I should be at white. – Victoria/ You stop at the white. I am coming off the field and I’m on my last count, hit the white, and thank you. – K/ I got it. I thought I was supposed to be past the yellow. Sorry. – Victoria

Office Visits[]

Season 13[]

(13.5)

  • [End of episode, second of three] Kelli says that what concerns her is when she had to circle the names that everybody agreed were outstanding, her name wasn’t circled tonight, which isn’t where she wants to be. It’s almost like she overdoing the choreography. Judy says she’s all over the place, rather than being clean and powerful. Kelli informs her that some judges were concerned about weight at auditions. Victoria says she’s aware that’s one of her weak spots, and then says she feels they’re disappointed, and that she doesn’t want that. Kelli says she’s not disappointed. Victoria begins crying, and Kelli tells her she currently has the potential to be top 36, but that’s not what she delivered tonight. She needs some articulateness/smoothness, and Victoria asks which veterans she should work with, and receives KaShara as a suggestion from Judy. Victoria says she can do that. [Victoria leaves] Judy jokes that she even opened the door with a bang, and Kelli remarks that she’s “a beautiful storm.”

(13.7)

  • [End of episode, first of two, with Denise Dicharry] Kelli asks Victoria what was wrong with her tonight. She says Denise commented that she wasn’t at all strong, and was about the weakest tonight. Victoria is surprised, and says she doesn’t know. Kelli says she didn’t seem like herself, and she had been one of Travis Wall’s favorites. Victoria begins crying, and tells Denise that when she came in, Victoria put a lot of pressure on herself, and it didn’t work. She wasn’t her best tonight. Denise says that’s why they wanted to call Victoria in, as well as herself. Denise adds that the smiling person she’s seeing now, she didn’t see that. Kelli asks if something was clouding her head. Victoria says she was also disappointed in herself, because she really wanted show group. Kelli warns her that she needs to be concerned about making the team. If they left it up to somebody [motioning towards Denise] to make a decision, tonight would be her last night. Victoria apologizes, and Kelli says it wasn’t her best night, but to just press on. [Victoria leaves] Denise remarks on her being a great team girl, and says there’s nothing in her way except for herself.

(13.8)

  • [Mid episode, second of two, Jinelle present] Kelli says they avoided talking about her weight in her first meeting, but that she’s up 11 pounds since auditions, and it shows. It was mentioned at auditions. They’ve avoided the conversation, but in retrospect they probably shouldn’t have. They’re not here to baby them, and they have to start making these decisions. [Commercial break] They’re going to try to help her. They have Jinelle there because they want her to work with Victoria. She adds it must be diet, since she’s getting plenty of cardio. Victoria starts talking, but Kelli cuts it off, saying she doesn’t want this to be a long conversation. The weight shows, but they can fix it. They don’t want her to try to lose it by doing anything unhealthy or in a rush, and they Jinelle to be like a bird on her shoulder. Jinelle is excited and says she can teach her so much and empty her brain into Victoria, and Victoria appreciates this.

(13.10)

  • [Mid episode, first of two, with Jinelle] Victoria jokes about it being her fourth time in the office, and that they can’t get enough of her. Kelli tells her that she was rough around the edges at media training. She’s coming across fairly immature. Also, Kelli hasn’t seen progress in fitness since their last conversation. All of them are concerned whether she’s using the resources they’re providing them. Kelli asks why she’s not responding to Jinelle’s texts. Victoria says she knows she was sent a doctor’s appointment, and says she knows Jinelle’s never had a weight issue, so she’s been leaning towards those who have. Jinelle thinks that’s fair, but she had only wanted to help Victoria, and if she didn’t want to take it, Victoria should have let her know. Victoria says she doesn’t like the weight situation, so she was just kind of sensitive to it, and then apologizes. Kelli thinks they’re at a point where Victoria needs to take a mature approach about this as a job. She doesn’t think she’s ready, though she does think there could be a uniform for her, but she doesn’t won’t Victoria to crumble. Kelli thinks Victoria looks like she’s under such pressure that she can’t be herself. Victoria tells them she’s just doesn’t like the office. Kelli asks what the worst that could happen, and Victoria says getting cut. Kelli says she’s prepared for that, and Victoria should be, as well. [Victoria starts crying] Kelli’s concern is communication and honesty. Victoria reiterates that it was related to the sensitivity of the topic. Kelli says she needs to develop who Victoria is, and what is meaningful to her. [Victoria apologizes to Jinelle and leaves.] Kelli wants her to grow up.

(13.12)

  • [End of episode, second of two, at AT&T Stadium] Victoria thinks dancing in the stadium was very exciting. Kelli says they’re very proud of her audition, her training camp, her as a dancer, and her as a legacy. She thinks Victoria’s learned about the organization from the inside, and they’ve learned a lot about her. [Commercial break] It’s training camp and they’re making roster cuts. They see her on this team, on this field, and in a uniform. However, they don’t have enough uniforms to give her that chance this season. [Victoria begins crying] Kelli praises her courage for doing what most 18-year-olds could not. Kelli says she can do this, and wants her to be successful there. Next year, she could return to auditions and totally own it. Victoria asks if anything stood out tonight? But Kelli, looking sad, says this was comprehensive. Victoria tells them it’s okay, and says that if she can’t look her 100% best this year, then she’ll use the next year (or however long) to grow. Kelli reiterates that they do see her on the squad, just not this year. Kelli and Judy hug her, and Kelli cleans off her mascara (which is running down her face). [Victoria leaves, and Kelli can be seen with tears in her eyes] Kelli remarks to Judy that for anybody who claimed she was a shoo-in: that’s BS because Victoria worked hard (and Judy agrees).
