This year Supporting Every Step is aiming to improve the Sackville Memorial Hospital's Day Surgery Program with some new top of the line surgical gear, making surgeries quicker and safer. If you love NB History, nature, and sports, Tantramar is the place to be June 1st. The NB Sports Hall of Fame is hosting their 54th induction Gala with a reception at 6:30pm and a ceremony at 7:30pm. Dress is formal; hors d’ouevres will be served during the reception; and drinks will be available for purchase from the bar. This year, our inductees include Heather Wilbur, the first New Brunswick woman to qualify for the LPGA US women’s open. Renowned official, coach and administrator Randy Wilson and Indigenous sports community leader, Jason Peters will be inducted for their role as builders of the sports community. Olympians Catharine Pendrell and Joël Bourgeois will be inducted, and finally, champion boxer Louis Lawrence will be inducted in our veteran category. The mission of the NB Sports Hall of Fame is to honour our best athletes and inspire our young athletes to aspire to greatness. All proceeds from the gala will help us further our mission. And we hope you’ll join us in this celebration: a perfect social evening event to end a day of exploring one of New Brunswick's most fascinating towns.
