Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan Me Espresso'd Met Gala 2024 With Couples Carpet Debut

They're working late, because it's the Met Gala 2024. Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have made their Met Gala debut, wearing two wildly different looks.

The couple arrived at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art during the mid-evening, with Keoghan wearing a seemingly Wonka-inspired Burbarry Burberry tuxedo that's, coincidentally, an extremely earthy brown. Some might say… espresso-colored? Carpenter, on the other hand, wore a gown with a black bodice and a train that resembled the sky and the clouds. They snapped a pic together at the top of the Met stairs, with Keoghan's hand resting on Carpenter's waist.

Later, Carpenter was photographed kissing Keoghan's cheek.

SaBarry was last seen together frolicking through the desert at Coachella 2024. Though the two stars also attended the Oscars together earlier this year, they did not walk the carpet together — they instead opted for coy pics together at the Vanity Fair after party. (And before you ask, yes, Keoghan was wearing a “Sabrina” friendship bracelet.)

Though they are rarely seen together at the formal public events they frequent, Keoghan is quite the supportive boyfriend online and offline. He loves to leave a flirty comment under any of Carpenter's endeavors — most recently a “🔥🥵” under her SKIMS spring campaign — and support her from the crowd, whether it be in Singapore at the Eras Tour or incognito at Coachella.

Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have now been dating for roughly five months. They first entered the public consciousness in December 2023, when the two were spotted in a Los Angeles parking lot after leaving a “romantic” dinner. In the months following, there were more romantic date nights at Nobu and Delilah and Ysabel, with the pair laughing through the streets of West Hollywood.

“I’m super attracted to a lot of the things I look for in friends, because I want to be with someone who’s going to be one of my best friends," Carpenter said in March 2024 while talking to Cosmo. "So a lot of it is energy and humor and being genuine. I will say I’ve always connected more with people who are really in touch with their emotions.”

It was about time the couple reached this major milestone. You know they each love a good fashion statement.
