Mark was appointed as Group Chief Executive in January 2023 after serving as Chief Executive Officer, Serco UK and Europe since October 2020.

Previously Mark served as Chief Executive Officer, Serco Asia Pacific from July 2014, following his appointment as Chief Operating Officer in January 2013 and promotion to Chief Executive Officer, Serco Australia and New Zealand in April 2013.

Mark has extensive international experience in business and operations management, holding numerous senior leadership positions in state-owned, public and private equity business environments.

Mark has held leadership roles in several US based private equity portfolio businesses including Momentive Performance Materials and Nalco Company as well as China National Bluestar Group following Blackstone’s investment in the company. Prior to working in China, Mark spent eight years in the United States working for multinational companies including General Electric (GE), after commencing with GE in Australia.

Mark's formal education stems from Applied Science and Business, includes a Master of Business Administration from Victoria University and completion of Global Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Nigel Crossley is a strong and experienced finance director with over 30 years of experience in finance roles in international organisations. Nigel has worked for Serco since 2014 and he has been at the centre of the transformation of Serco and in restoring the reputation and financial stability of the Group. Prior to joining Serco, Nigel held senior finance roles at EMI, RHM plc and Procter & Gamble.

He has a BSc in Mathematics from Hull University.

Anthony was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Serco UK and Europe in January 2023 after serving as Group Chief Operating Officer since 2020. Anthony joined Serco as Group HR Director in 2017 and subsequently became responsible for Group Transformation, HSE and Corporate Shared Services. 

Anthony has a wealth of experience from over 17 years at Compass Group Plc; he was most recently Group Workforce and Organisation Director, responsible for supporting over 40 countries and prior to this he was the HR Director for Europe and Japan. Additionally, Anthony has held other roles at Compass Group including Director of Group Labour Strategy as well as being responsible for shared services and operational HR Director roles

Anthony is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and holds Masters Degrees in both Strategic Human Resources and Employment Law & Industrial Relations.
 

Tom Watson serves as Chief Executive Officer of Serco Inc., a leading provider of professional, technology, and management services to every branch of the U.S. military, numerous U.S. federal civilian agencies, the intelligence community, the Government of Canada, state and local governments, and commercial clients. 

Tom oversees the $1.5 billion business with approximately 9,500 employees providing support in three key market sectors - Defense, Citizen Services, and Transportation. 

Prior to being promoted to CEO in September 2022, Tom served as Serco’s Senior Vice President, of the Defense Services Business Group and the Company’s Acquisition, Program Management & Logistics Business Unit and the Systems Integration & Installation Business Unit.  

Before to joining Serco in 2018, Tom held positions of increasing responsibility with SAIC for 22 years. His last position was as Senior Vice President and General Manager of SAIC's Navy and Marine Corps Business Unit which had annual revenues of over $1B with ~4000 employees. The BU provided mission critical technical and engineering support services and products and system integration support and solutions for ship, shore, submarine, vehicle and aviation and weapons systems programs for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps customers.

Before joining SAIC, he worked for RCI (now Serco) providing technical and engineering support for U.S. Navy intelligence and information systems. Tom has more than 30 years of experience in supporting and leading command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence systems programs, management, engineering and technical support, hardware and software systems development, production and integration, IT systems, management, and business development efforts. His career also includes six years active duty in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician.

Tom earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from National University.

Phil joined Serco Middle East in April 2019, as Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible in leading Serco's business in the Middle East region.

He joined Serco from Atkins where he most recently held the position of Managing Director of Engineering and Design in the Middle East & Africa (MEA). Phil was with Atkins for nine years, during which he also led the Transport and Infrastructure business, based in the Middle East, and previously the global Power Division.

Phil has over 25 years' experience in industry including significant leadership and operations in the energy sector, where he was a Nuclear Site Director in the UK.

Andrew joined Serco Asia Pacific in October 2023 as CEO. 
 
Andrew has more than 25 years' experience spanning the public and private sector, including listed and unlisted companies, state government and international consulting organisations.
 
From 2018 to 2023, Andrew was CEO of WestConnex, Australia’s largest road infrastructure project (AUD$16B). He spent 20 years at Transurban (ASX:TCL) including 15 years as an Executive Committee member where he was a key contributor to the growth of the company from a small listed entity with one asset to the world’s largest toll road company with a portfolio of 22 assets and a market capitalisation of over AUD$60B. He is a highly successful leader with specialist expertise developed in relation to leading and growing companies within complex stakeholder environments.

Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in political science and communication, and has qualifications from the Australian Securities Institute and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has completed the Insead Advanced Management Program (Fontainebleau, France) and attended the Stanford Business School Executive Education program.

David joined Serco in November 2014.

He leads on legal and commercial activities, the company secretarial function and on governance and compliance matters.

He has extensive experience in the IT and services businesses having held roles as General Counsel of the BT Global Services division of BT plc as well as senior counsel of DuPont de Nemours. David started his career in private practice at Ashurst the leading City law firm and he is a qualified solicitor. He attended Southampton University and he is a non-executive director of the Legal Services Board, the independent body responsible for overseeing the regulation of lawyers in England and Wales and a member of its Audit Committee.

Ruth McGowan joined Serco in May 2023 as Group Chief Strategy and Growth Officer and brings extensive experience in scaling global operations, delivering both revenue growth and cost efficiencies alongside the ability to set a vision, define strategy and execute technology-enabled growth plans.

Ruth has previously worked in strategy consultancy with McKinsey, private equity, retail & consumer goods, as well as health tech businesses where she developed significant international experience, grew new business lines and used technology to transform products and services to deliver sustainable value.

Ruth holds a Masters degree in Engineering from Cambridge and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Gillian joined Serco in May 2023 as Group People and Culture Officer bringing a depth of experience leading people and operational teams across a range of industries including aviation, engineering and infrastructure services, design and manufacturing.
 
Gillian’s previous roles include the public sector as well as listed and private equity-owned businesses and give testament to strong strategic and commercial acumen, as well as a track record of driving transformational change.
