Audience Member I've seen many running films in my life, but none have captured the rawness and pain quite like this one. There's no music here (except at the end, to tug your heartstrings for an amputee runner. Unnecessary), just lots of contemplative silence, which allows the viewer undistracted access to the runners' psyche, bewilderment, agony and ecstasy. Naturally, the race is on my Bucket List. Accepting crew members now. :-) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Anybody who's a runner can identify with this movie. This is the other end of the endurance spectrum when compared with the Shackleton expedition to the south pole. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It's always inspiring to see superhuman feats and their consequences. If you ever wanted to know about the drive to prove yourself, this movie is totally worth it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Now I know that I will probably never run a 135 mile race in my life, but this movie is never the less very inspiring to watch. The training that goes on, the rugged conditions that they run in..the ailments that they endure..this is a very good film to see all of that happen. It's all true too! Wow! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Very inspiring movie about a crazy race, but at the same time something to set my sights on now that Ironman is over. This film looks at some of the "ordinary" runners if you can even call someone doing 135 miles ordinary. The breed of runners doing this seems vastly different than the ultra-competitive groups at local races and triathlons, so it was nice to see that normal people are out there. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member If you want to know about hardcore runners, check this out! The Badwater is a 135 mile race from the lowest point in the lower 48, Death Valley, to the highest point, Mt. Whitney portal (used to be to the summit). There's a lot of suffering but a lot of fun too... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
