Before you shred me into bits in the comments, hear me out. I am NOT saying top is the superior lane. It has its weaknesses, but the point of this matchup sheet is so I could find out exactly which weaknesses and not just saying "go pick him mid lol". It turns out that Rumble can do well into most matchups, with a little help from Seeker's and Phase Rush. For those who don't like mid, or for those who are used to top, you can pick Rumble top if you wanted to. Don't let this sub discourage you from that. But if you just wanted to play Rumble, you are indeed better off in midlane.

Rumble top, in my honest opinion, is not dead. It has its good matchups as you said, and can outduel most top laners: nearly anyone that is melee. He is a tank-buster that can easily burst squishies, and the largest threat comes from bruisers that simply have better stats than you (Cough cough, Illaoi). Although some of the match ups I would change on the sheet, especially Fiora (who I find to be an easy match). Garen and Cho'gath I would also rate easier, as you can easily W+Q Garen's Q and make him useless, and Cho'Gath is just a tank: perfect for Rumble. I would also recommend taking a page out of Crown's book and trying *Dark Harvest:* I was very surprised that Crown took this rune a year or so back, but ever since I gave it a try, I can't stop using it. It really helps Rumble transition into late game so much better while being quite useful in lane. It adds a ton of damage, and I implore you to try the rune, even if just in a norms.
Last note: Vayne isn't an instant dodge: Her ultimate has literally 0 point against Rumble, and your Q/E range is practically the same as her auto. Just. Stay, Away. From. Walls. And get Rylai's first.
Yup! Edited Garen and Cho. Vayne is just rely bad for rumble. Rumble suffers from DPS and range(like Cass in mid), but Vayne is worse since her dashes counter your attempt to slow her. Your ult is nothing to her. I wouldn't go rylais either. I would prob go Electrocute and try to make TP plays.
yeah I agree on Fiora, the laning phase is actually pretty rumble favored but obviously she hard outscales in but what else is new
I rate this, but I seem to have different difficulties. For example, I get ruined by Jayce every time but can grill Renekton enough to make his level 6 pointless. Where I struggle top is dealing with ganks where I've not put wards in the best spot and get caught by the Kayne that pretty much makes wards useless. Unless I'm level 6, I just die a terrible death.
You should probably ward deeper then, not just in the river bush(such as tri or deeper in the river). Renekton is really weird. You can poke him out early, but if he touches you once you lose a million HP.
I like this match up personally, and if you can activate q+w upon seeing the croc dash at you to try and stun, you will win the damage trade. You also outrange him w/ Q and E.

Have to disagree with Aatrox. He is an extremely high counter pick for rumble and bullies you out of lane.
As both a Rumble main and secondary Aatrox main it's a volatile skill matchup, but id give it a 50 / 50.
