I had a bomb cake request and found Ro's ball baking pan (I love her) and didn't hesitate. On the box it gives you directions on how much to fill, what temperature, an idea for how long to bake. Turned out great! I would suggest a dense cake...like a sponge (I think it says something like that on the box). I had used a box cake mix and I had a lot of work to try and keep it from collapsing from the weight. A good trick is sealing the cake (once stacked) with a thin layer of frosting (does not have to be fancy!) And then coating a couple layers of ganache around the cake. In between layers placing the cake in the freezer until ganache wasnt sticky at the touch.
I have NEVER made a 3D cake before.... all I've ever done are cupcakes with nice frosting tops. Haha. My first "ball" cake came out awesome. :)

Bought this pan in order to make the top of my daughters cactus cake. Worked perfectly. Quality is nice, I was wondering how it’d stay up in the oven- didn’t realize it came with silicone stands which worked perfectly- item did it’s job. Would definitely recommend!
