Soccer legend and president of the Segunda Division club Real Valladolid Ronaldo Nazário married model, influencer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Celina Locks this past weekend in Ibiza. The two met in 2015 at a mutual friend’s costume party—in keeping with their personalities, Celina was in a bright metallic costume and Ronaldo was in regular clothes. The Brazilian couple then got engaged in January 2023 in Punta Cana while they were on vacation in the Caribbean.

Their wedding week began on Monday, September 25, with a private religious ceremony at a small church in the village of Es Cubells on the island of Ibiza, where they share a home. “It was just with family, bridesmaids, and groomsmen,” says Celina. For her intimate ceremony with the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan striker, the bride wore an ivory silk off-the-shoulder dress by Jacquemus, while her hair was styled in soft waves. After reciting their vows during the service, the newlyweds exited the church and were met with cheers and showered with confetti.

On Wednesday, the couple hosted a “White Party” at Jondal Beach Clubto to welcome guests for their larger celebration later in the week to the island. To this, Celina wore a Victoria Beckham slip dress, Tiffany & Co. jewelry, and René Caovilla shoes.

On Friday, September 29, the main ceremony was held at the couple’s house. “I was involved in every part of the planning process,” Celina says, noting that she worked with Silvia Nistal of Silvia Nistal Events to plan the event for 300 guests. “Ronaldo and I combined everything we’ve always wanted to make our ceremony the most special we could.”

For her ceremony look, Celina wore a custom white silk organza dress by Armani Privé with draping, a wide slit, and an intertwined organza shoulder strap, as well as a long veil in matching organza. She accessorized with pink spinel earrings from Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book Collection and Giorgio Armani shoes. Ronaldo wore a tailored suit from Giorgio Armani’s made-to-measure line in a sand-colored washed silk, completing the look with a T-shirt in the same fabric and casual suede sandals in a sand color.

Ronaldo and Mr. Armani first worked together in 1998 when the soccer star was playing for Inter in Milan. “I first met Mr. Armani in Paris, around 2010,” Ronaldo remembers. “And from then our friendship has grown fondly.” Celina is the current Brazilian ambassador for Giorgio Armani.

“There is a type of love that invites no comment, solely empathy and feeling,” designer Giorgio Armani, who created all of the looks for Celina and Ronaldo’s wedding, says of the couple. “Ronaldo’s marriage to the love of his life is cause for great emotion and hope. Because ultimately love is the true driving force of life.”

A ceremony at home was the obvious choice for both Celina and Ronaldo. “It’s such an important place for us,” Celina explains. “We have beautiful memories in this place, because we spend all of our summers here, with our whole family. It was a special day, with our closest friends and family. We invited everyone who is a part of our history, and we created even more amazing moments during the ceremony.”

“The ceremony was truly beautiful,” Ronaldo adds. “I was surrounded by loved ones, and each moment was filled with memorable surprises. Sharing it all with Celina made it even more special. Looking at her walking down the aisle made my heart beat faster and faster!”

Following the ceremony, there was a dinner where Spanish fare was served—then, it was time to party. For the final portion of the evening, the bride changed into her second look: a white silk satin dress by Armani Privé. “I chose a dress with a V-neck and lotus flower embroidered with silver thread and crystals, inlaid on the lower part of the back.” She paired the dress with Tiffany & Co. jewelry—a yellow-green diamond pendant and solitaire diamond earrings—and Giorgio Armani shoes. Meanwhile, Ronaldo wore a Giorgio Armani made-to-measure classic Soho line suit with a vest, made from a wool and cashmere fabric. The look was completed with a classic shirt and ceremonial tie.

“The wedding coincided with a radiant full moon,” Celina recalls. “As the sun set, the sky painted a mesmerizing gradient of blue, pink, and purple hues. It was one of the most beautiful days of my life—a real dream coming true. It was breathtaking to see all of the people we love and care about together celebrating our love with us.”
